I have bought glasses for years from LensCrafters/Visalia, however this time 08.05.2020 eye exam and ordered a pair of glasses I cannot recommend for ordering glasses, Today 09.01.2020 I have not received the glasses. First 3 calls, after waiting 12 working days, I was told each time the store manager would call be back. Not! The only reason they get one star is because I got my contacts there and glasses, that's all they are good for. If all you need is an eye exam and materials then they are Ok at best. I saw 3 different doctors there for an on going vision issue, blurred vision in 1 eye for 2 months. They all told me there was nothing wrong with my eye. Went back to my previous doctor and paid out of my own pocket for it and he said I have pink eye, why couldn't the doctors at lens crafters tell me this is unknown. I am now on antibiotics for 14 days, I will have to change my insurance in order to go back to my other eye doctor but it will be worth it. My appt was at 240pm .. it's was 317 and haven't even been called for the exams prior to eye exam . This place people with more abilities to multi-task. Or people more that know how to do the job faster. I know it's busy but that's why you make appointments. If not it should just be walk ins. It's pretty ridiculous. read more

Clueless. Had to schedule a second appointment with the doc after waiting two weeks for my new glasses to confirm my prescription was correct. She had to explain the only titanium frame they had with my very expensive lenses were too big for my face and they wouldn't work (weird blurry patches when you looked through the lens). Wasted HOURS! Tried to get help in the store finding a frame that would work - NO BODY WOULD HELP ME. Went on their website later to look for a fit, they didn't have one to fit. Called to ask a question about my Rx so I could price some other glasses online and one of their employees (Joy) said they'd talk to manager and get back to me with new frame potentials. It's day five and I never heard back. Don't waste your time. Go somewhere else. Luckily for me it was still within the 30 day money back guarantee. I returned them for a full refund. That's what the 1 star is for. I hope someone else will make the glasses for me with their doc's prescription so I'm not also out the cost of the eye exam. read more

Buyers remorse incompetent facility please read previous reviews before entering this place. I took my family in there. I filled out the patient history Forms for me my husband and my two children they started taking us back one by one. They got our medical forms mixed up with my daughters. They crossed out my name and placed her name on my form. My daughter is 10 years old I am 40. Big difference.I didn't notice that examination forms until I got home. I had to take my glasses back cause I could not see right it was like I was given the wrong glasses. I am now concerned for my children's glasses if they received the correct prescription. I still can not see right with the so called corrected RX. I will be calling my insurance and Lens crafters. UPDATE**** The manager called me in and she was very happy to help fix the situation she scheduled me to come back in and get reexamined by another Doc and the RX was off, they corrected my glasses and they were ready in a hr. and I was pleased with the outcome at the End. read more

Horrible experience. Two messed up prescriptions, and they lied to us about when they'd be done. Family was flying out and needed them ASAP, and they promised they'd be available. What a joke. Scheduled eye exam at 530 on Sunday because the doctor is only in the office 1 day a week and it is on Sunday. Confirmed with the receptionist three times of the date and time of my appointment and the receptionist confirmed. I get to my appointment 10 minutes early and the receptionist informed me the doctor left at 5. This is the second time this doctor did this to me, but it's the last. read more

Absolutely horrid, disfunctional, and disorganized. I scheduled an appointment and was called and told that they would not have an eye doctor on staff for two weeks... Then I went online and it allowed me to schedule an appointment with them this afternoon... Well, needless to say, I got there and was then told the exact same thing as I was told the first time so why in the world their website is allowing patients to book eye exams between now and the next two weeks is both insane and a conundrum. I went in there in June for a eye contact exam until now they couldn't get my prescription right. They made me paid for the wrong contacts prescription I see super cloudy with the contacts they give me. They refused to change my prescription to the right one or give my money back. Due to my insurance not being accepted at Lenscrafters, I moved eye doctor. Simple medical record release is currently taking 3 month and 10 days and counting even after numerous follow up calls and acknowledging that they got the request. My new doctor requires this info to not waste time and effort. Totally unacceptable practice. read more

I've browsed Lenscrafters in the Visalia Mall several times over the years, but I have never purchased glasses from them. Their selection is okay, but I've found comparable frames elsewhere at the same or lower prices. My main dislike of this store is their hard-sell technique. The staff hovers and, in my opinion, makes me feel pressured to choose something or to schedule an eye exam. I'd rather browse without feeling I'm being watched and pressured to make a quick decision. Unnecessarily unpleasant shopping experience. read more

I recently had purchased glasses and contacts for both my partner and I at the Lens Crafters in the Visalia Mall. I was really disappointed with the customer service in which Lens Crafters provided to us. After spending several hundred dollars at this store, services were not privided as promised and the employees did not appear to care. It took much longer for my contacts to come then initially told and I kept receiving multiple excuses from a variety of store employees in regards to the delay. When I finally picked the contacts up I informed the employee at the store that I was disappointed with the provided service and would not return to that store but they did not appear to care and didn't apologize for the poor service. I came here because I had such a bad experience at Stanton Optical last year. This place was just as bad as far as customer service goes. I waited 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I could not schedule my follow up when I was there because I didn't have my work schedule so I called back and the first time was left on permanent hold, second time was told they were too busy to schedule an appointment and that they would call back, which of course they didn't. I appreciate that they wanted to help the customer in the store rather me who was on the phone but when I was in the store I had to wait for them to finish with the person on the phone. 3rd time I called and couldn't get an appointment for a follow up until nearly one month later. I have been wearing glasses and contacts for over 30 years and this place was the worst of all. After much waiting and not seeing me until 45 minutes past my appointment time, the doctor sent me home with a new pair of contacts. Problem is...he didn't write down what he gave me. I arrive for follow up and they were clueless. I have already paid for everything and still, they tell me I have to see doctor. I just need my prescription so I can order my contacts but I don't know if the prescription will be right. Do not go here, they overbook every appointment slot. I've been waiting again today for my follow up another 30 minutes past my appointment time! What ever happened to customer service. The workers here are not the brightest and they took forever to assist me. Got sat down in the waiting area for nearly an hour after my scheduled appointment. The whole place seemed unorganized and the service was very unprofessional. Manager Joy was unprofessional And rude! I came in for an eye exam and glasses a few weeks ago. I had an appointment for 12:30pm. After waiting for an hour a patient came in and asked if they could do a walk in exam the manager said yes that the doctor could see him and that the wait would only be 20 minutes. I got so upset hearing that since I was already waiting there for an hour. I asked when I would be next since I had an appointment and she said oh well you have 3 people a head of you. I asked her how long it would take for each exam and she said 30 minutes a piece. I had a effing meltdown. I was already waiting there for an hour and she wanted me to wait ANOTHER hour and a half. Are you effing kidding me why would they not tell me they were running behind OR apologize?! I'm calling their Corperate office the way that they treat people here is so bad that lens crafters in the Visalia mall has the WORST reputation for bad customer service that people who live in neighboring towns like Tulare ect won't receive services here. This place totally sucks. They took 12 pictures and still got my moms glasses wrong. They did not put in the transitions like her prescription indicated and the bifocal was so low on the glass that she was not even looking through the corrective portion of the lens. So, here we are back again. A wasted trip from Hanford and a wasted $25.00 fee from the diagnostic center. A trip to Fresno would have been better than this! Avoid this location. read more

We waited for over two and a half hours. The appointment was at 11 (after being rescheduled twice) and we finally walked away close to 2 pm. So much for our afternoon plans! I'm glad I hadn't tried to squeeze an appointment in during my lunch break. The staff seemed disorganized, but the doctor was pleasant and apologized for the long wait. Very slow. We had a 12:30 appointment Sunday and were seen by the optometrist about 2:00pm. My wife had glasses made there last week and they were completely wrong. Had to take them with us on a road trip and have them completely re-made at LC in Eugene Oregon ( which was great by the way). Arrived tonight for a 6:20 appointment and it's now 7:07 and still waiting. Lots of people working up front wearing business clothes but no business being conducted. They all say they're waiting for another guy to evaluate tonight's glasses order. Paid a LOT for these specs, but the customer service here is poor at best. The employees seem like they were working at AT&T or Home Depot last week and might be working for another business soon. They just don't seem knowledgeable, despite the hilarious name tags that read "Certified Optician". Thanks know its trendy to be negative on Yelp, but I just can't find much positive with this shop. I now realize why I've bought my glasses at my optometrist's office for years. Going to start doing that again. read more
