I was quoted overcharged prices twice and when confronted I was hung up on by the manager. This company operates illegally and preys upon people in their time of distress. This is not the family owned family oriented business they claim to be instead they are thieves and liars overcharging hard working individuals.

The station was very accessible and neatly kept right before the heart of downtown Amherst. You can pull in from either direction--just know what side of your car has the gas cap! All in all, I would tell international travelers, locals, students, and people of all ages and walks of life to go here. I'm certain they'll make you feel welcome and answer your questions, even in the bitter cold. Again, for full service gas, the price is low so mind to tip your attendant, 10% is a good amount and fits the current era we live in. I was told they buffed out a big scratch on the door for free - but my car never had a scratch to begin with. They filled the nicks with spot paint and it looks terrible. The hood on the car wasn't fully latched. I pulled over, opened the hood completely and there was a lot of overspray in the engine compartment. I had to go back to the shop to have it cleaned. They removed a wheel well molding around the back wheel. They never installed the clip and the clip is part of a set for all 4 wheel wells. You cannot buy one clip, so I have a wheel well molding loose and flopping while driving. I went there because I have a Subaru and the nearby Subaru dealer said they bring all their work there. I tried Cahillane but will never go there again.

In general, I don't use mechanics. But my wife's brakes started squealing, and she wanted us to find a good mechanic we could trust for the big jobs (Translation: she doesn't want to die if I mess up her brakes.) I called a couple of friends, and they both recommended Jeff at Greg's. I can't say enough good things about Jeff and his crew. I called and asked about replacing all 4 rotors and pads. Got quoted a very good price, and scheduled in for a Tuesday. Jeff called a few hours into Tuesday, and let me know that the front brakes were fine and didn't need replacing. I'd forgotten that we just replaced them not that long ago, and they didn't have many miles on them, just rust. The rears needed replacing, but the front just needed the rust ground off to stop the squealing. Now, a lesser mechanic would have seen the brakes were fine, and replaced them anyway; we'd have gotten what we asked for. Jeff doesn't roll that way. He fixed the actual problem, and it cost half of what we were quoted. Another note, the rotors he sold us are quality rotors. Ceramic coated so they won't rust after 5 minutes in the rain (unlike the old rotors our last mechanic installed!) All in all, Jeff and his crew are top notch. Honest, reliable, with a great reputation. 5 Solid Stars!!!
