It's a vehicle that's not all that commonly available in this part of the country, and our price limit was right at the limit of what would be reasonable. He listened to us very carefully, asked lots of important questions, then set out on what can only be properly described as a "quest" -- and FOUND exactly what we were looking for! He was able to negotiate a great deal on it for us, then brought it back to the shop. This is where it gets even more wonderful, because the shop is known for being owned and operated by a mechanic with a sterling personal reputation and professional credentials, having trained in a shop up in Guilford, VT that is literally known as the very best one in the whole area. They assured us they'd go through and fix anything and everything on the vehicle that needed tweeking or repair before we picked it up, to make sure it was up to THEIR standards of excellence -- and that the price would not go above our limit even if they had to eat some of the cost. They explained this is because they shopped for the vehicle with their mechanical expertise, so if it cost more to fix it was that they'd assessed it wrong and should make good on it. Well, long story short, we took delivery of exactly the used vehicle we wanted, in perfect shape, looking like it came off a showroom floor, and it's everything we could have dreamed and hoped for. In the process, we found a mechanic we'll use and trust from now on, and made friends to boot! It's not easy to find a really superior mechanic and shop that has a personal value system based on ethics of doing what's right. Green River Auto is that place! And if you want a used car, I honestly do not see how you can do ANY better than you will if you go talk to Doug there. If he can't find it for you, it's not available. I've lived all over the country, from Texas to California and back again, and I have NEVER found a shop like this one, and never even imagined a person like Doug existed. He said it was out of his control and he needed to ask the owner who was helping a couple at the time. I wasn't satisfied with this offer from Tesla, so I requested offers online. CarMax provided the best price by a good margin. Even after discounting the tax advantage, it was several thousand dollars better than Tesla's valuation, and CarMax claimed their process was very straight forward. Most of the transaction was done online, I uploaded their requested documents (license, registration, etc.). I was then asked when I would like to bring in my car for inspection and sale. A few days later, I arrived at my designated appointment time, and was promptly greeted at their front desk in their rather cavernous reception area. It's a bright and clean space, and was fairly quiet on this particular afternoon. I was told to drive my car into their garage for inspection, and return to their business office. About 10 minutes later, a very nice representative (Liz) told me that she was working on my paperwork, which would be ready in about 15 minutes. Liz returned with the paperwork, and patiently explained the few pieces of paper I was signing. I signed over the title and she handed me a check for the agreed upon amount. I was also given copies of all the paperwork and my license plates. She advised that I contact the registry quickly and destroy the plates if they weren't being transferred. I'd estimate about thirty minutes start to finish. I sold my car for a fair offer, lower than if I tried to find a private party sale, but safer, easier and no hassles. I can't comment on services related to buying a car here, but I was very satisfied selling my car here.

I contacted the dealer and he agreed to replace the brakes/rotors and change the oil, he said this would take one day. I left the truck at his shop and waited. He didn't contact me so I called and claimed "I didn't see the truck", it was parked next to his house/shop right where I told him it was. I waited another day without any response and called again, he said "the brakes are fine but I changed the oil. So after 3 days I got the truck and brought it back to the mechanic and they fixed the brakes and told me he didn't change the oil. I would recommend anyone looking for a used vehicle go elsewhere. I've never had an experience like this anywhere and I haven't included every lie I was told because doing so would take to much time. In conclusion, the owner lied and acted like a child and did not/has not admitted to any of it. I'm stuck with several thousand dollars of repair bills.
