So I arrive 10 minutes early to fill out the forms. The receptionist barked instructions to me and demanded my drivers license. It was strange. Stressful. Then I went to the exam room and the hygienist shared the lengthy explanation of "how they do things." Since I had x-rays 6 months ago, they wouldn't clean my teeth without seeing those x-rays first; and, unfortunately, my former dentists' office was closed, so they sent me home. I still can't believe it and I'm embarrassed. Why didn't they call my dentist last week to get what they needed? They are clear with their time boundaries, but what about working ahead so it's a positive experience for both of us and an efficient use of my time, too?
