The staff is always nice and it is clean. I am usually able to get scheduled in a reasonable amount of time. The only reason I gave a four is that the machine has went on the blitz several times in the middle of the testing. They have gotten it worked out during those times but I despise the testing because it takes longer than a typical test so I've had to prolong the testing.

This visit our usual Dr. , Whom we love Was full so I was referred to Dr. Diggs who was amazing, he took the time to explain everything so well. And additionally, the person who helped select my glasses was so very sweet and helpful! I highly recommend eye associates they truly are an awesome place! I initially was looking to replace my glasses with the same frames as before but talked to Nick about possible changing the sheen to a matte finish. He took my old glasses and machines them to a matte finish to show me what they looked like to help me see what that finish would look like. He definitely went above and beyond! I didn't think it was a stye, but hey, I'm not a doctor, so I just went with what he said. He referred me to another facility. Once I got to that facility weeks later, turns out, he was incorrect and should have never sent me to the other facility. The facility that he sent me to works very closely with him so they were very surprised when I showed up and everything that he had sent was incorrect. The other office apologized to me for making me wait and go through all of this hassle for nothing. They were pretty shocked about what happened. He wasted my time and my money, and I ended up having to go for a third appointment somewhere else. That also postponed my treatment. Dr. Schwerdtfeger (Dr. Joe) would not recommend. If you are a doctor and you were unsure of the next steps a patient needs to take, tell them that. I would have more respect for a doctor if they told me the truth, instead of sending me somewhere that couldn't help.

I ordered two pair of glasses that were identical to each other except the color. The young woman who measured for my bifocals apparently came up with different locations for the transition despite the frames being the same. When they arrived, the transition was so high in one pair they had to be sent back. The employee that was helping me on my second visit said it was very obvious they were too high and she knew I would want them adjusted. Thank goodness I could take one pair at least! Also, the glasses have like a "fishing line" that holds the lenses. The knot was not hidden and the end protruded. Last, while they have a nice selection of frames, my face is wide and I did not find a lot that were the appropriate size for my face.

I've been getting prescription eyeglasses at this location for at least 10 years. They have a nice…read moreselection (not a lot of fancy designer frames, but a nice selection) and are always very nice and helpful. After doing some comparison shopping, I find their prices are quite reasonable and competitive, and they stand behind their work. One time I went in with a new prescription and wanted new lenses in my old frames as well as a whole new frame/lens combination. I asked to have transition lenses in both frames. I guess I didn't know enough about transition lenses to realize that they darken on cloudy days as well as sunny days. After having them for a couple weeks, I was very frustrated and decided I wanted regular lenses in one pair, so I went back to Gerry and they changed exchanged the lenses at no extra cost to me. Another thing...I've recently been obsessively shopping for new frames, really wanting to change my look. I have been to dozens of optical shops around the KC metro and even Lawrence, Kan. I'm amazed that some shops have hardly any mirrors and terrible lighting. Are you kidding me? I would think that big, well lit, accessible mirrors would be standard at optical shops, but apparently not. The Gerry stores are designed so you can actually see what you're looking at as you make a decision about what you'll be wearing on your face every day.

I'm so happy with my purchase from here and would highly recommend this place to anyone! I love wearing my glasses at night while I'm getting ready for bed so that I can fall asleep easier. The glasses do a fantastic job at blocking blue light. And they look great too! I now have a regular pair of glasses for everyday use and an amber-tinted pair that I wear before bed every night. Spencer was very helpful in helping me decide on the exact color that I wanted.

It is kind of understood with these eye glass places that they are going to hit you with at 150% to…read more600% markup, and in return they will manage all the details and headaches (of which there can be a LOT of ) and generally make it painless for you. So it was alarming up front how uncomfortable they were answering questions. They seemed surprised I wanted to know more than someone should call me at some time in the future, to let me know they would some day do something for some unknown amount of money. Knowing the markups in question I insisted on at least knowing how much we were talking about for a set of replacement lenses. They begrudgingly came up with a price of $600 dollars. When I asked to confirm that was just for replacement lenses they again wouldn't answer and just dropped the price by $150. Their markup was that high they could cut that much off and still be fine. Which they were apparently more comfortable with than just answering my question, or really any questions. I opted to go else where.
