The worst experience of my life!!!!
I just moved to the area and contacted the groomer, Diane, four weeks prior to my requested appointment. Diane appeared delightful on the phone and gave me a price of between 35 to 40 dollars for my Maltese, Bailey. I scheduled the appointment for 11:00 a.m. on a Saturday in January.
I arrived to the store at 10:50 a.m. and was not greeted by the two male cashiers. I asked where I would find the grooming facility. The older man stated, "she is in the back." I walked to the back and in a small room there stood Diane bathing a dog in the bathtub. A customer was standing beside her, having a conversation. She turned around and looked at me and stated, "you are late." I stated I was on time, I had an 11:00 a.m. appointment. I brought with me Bailey's records. She looked at the customer and shouted "who does this girl think she is, coming in anytime she feels like it." I was shocked and speechless. I continued standing there and asked to look at her appointment book. I pointed to my last name in the 11 o'clock slot. Three other slots were filled by my name. Diane said," well it will be at least a few hours and you are lucky I am squeezing you in." No apology!! I asked that Bailey receive a puppy cut and continue with his Mohawk. Diane looked at me, then looked at Bailey. Diane began singing, loudly as I walked away, "poor Bailey, his mom gives him a Mohawk."
Is it really Diane's decision if Bailey has a Mohawk? Personally, from a business standpoint, you should not be poking fun of your customers
As from a legal standpoint, Diane did not ask to see or make a copy of Bailey's records. For those of you who are thinking of taking, or currently taking your pet to Diane for grooming, please keep this in mind. This is very serious for your pet's health and well being!!!
I should have left right away, however, I had an appointment down the road and decided to go through with the grooming.
At 2:10 p.m. Diane called my cell phone and stated she will be leaving very shortly and I would need to be there in fifteen minutes. I informed her I would be there as soon as I could.
I walked in and headed straight to the back of the store. I asked to have Bailey; she handed Bailey to me and said, "his head is not made for a Mohawk." I walked up to the front of the store and expressed how upset I was for being treated this way. The manager, who I believe was also the owner, and the younger cashier were unresponsive.
I informed them both Diane is completely unprofessional and how I was not going to be doing business in their store. Again, a blank stare.
The manager charged me $49.50. I did not argue with the amount, handed the manager my credit card, and left the store.
I hope this review will help when deciding on entering this thought to be a friendly, warming, pet loving pet store. It was a nightmare for both Bailey and I. I encourage you to beware of Diane!! read more
