What a fantastic tour! Jill planned a lovely day for myself, my dad, and my brother that included four wineries in the Alexander Valley. She was very communicative beforehand and took the time to find places that were suited to our tastes. Everywhere we went was wonderful, and even the drives were interesting because Jill is so personable and knowledgeable about the area and winemaking in general. It's clear that she made a lot of effort to learn about the wineries we visited and develop relationships with the people who own them. In the crazy year of 2020, Jill helped us plan a wonderful wine tour with the utmost confidence and flexibility! We visit Santa Rosa in October to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. Our original plan was to visit Tuscany, but Covid had changed everything. Thanks to Jill, we were still able to celebrate deliciously! We started off with a group of 12 family and fiends. However, Jill was patient and flexible with us as the group whittled down to only 8 people. She was able to find three smaller wineries that could accommodate our preferences and group size - which is a hard thing to do in the Covid world! All winemakers wore masks and she was able to arrange private, outdoor tastings at each venue, where we could all social distance. It felt safe and fun! And as you may read, Jill arranges a mean picnic lunch! Ours consisted of a variety of meats & cheeses that paired perfectly with the wines! I would recommend Jill to anyone interested in touring and tasting wines of the area. She's knowledgeable about the grapes, the wine, and the people. Let me start by saying that Jill at Leone Wine Tours was incredibly accommodating and understanding. Our trip started out with 7-8 ladies 'committed' and ended up with just 3 of us. Jill was so great to work with, adjusting schedules as necessary. What I liked about most with this personalized tour was visiting smaller wineries who I would have never considered, but Jill has some great relationships with many of the local area wine makers and was able to customize our experience.
