Service was super quick. Easily the most affordable poke we we've had on the island at $10 a plate for a regular size. It was a great stop for us in a convenient location and quick option as we were starving after a helicopter excursion. 10/10 would recommend. Poke was very fresh!
Soooo good! My husband and I each got a Hawaiian plate. One w Kailua pork and spicy poke, the other with lau lau and shoyu pok. Everything was so good, especially the lau lau. We came back for another visit during the week and it was just as good. Plus they are super friendly and helpful with suggestions. This will be a go to stop any time in the area!
Patty was hankering for some poke, so we took the advice of both my Lonely Planet tourist book, and that of Francine at Hele on Kauai Bike Remtals, and made a stop at Leong's. The only option they had left was the spicy poke bowl. Patty ordered that delicacy atop sushi-style rice. She was more than delighted with her choice. If you like poke, you'd be a fool, yes I said fool, to not give Leong's a try.
Seriously fresh and delicious poke at prices we could not believe being from the Bay Area. They were out of the Grandmas and Mai so we ordered 2 Kamakazis (3 poke and choice of drizzle) so we could try the other 5 and all were delicious. I could not honestly tell you which was which since it was pouring, we were starving and we literally pulled over onto a local dirt road to snarf it in our filthy rental Jeep in under 5 minutes. $16 + $1.50 for half salad instead of all rice for one Kamikaze was INSANE for the amount of high quality poke we got, at home we'd get 1/3 of that if we were lucky. We made the mistake of getting there 20 mins before closing so they were sold out of 2 poke and they remove all the hot food (like pork) then, so we missed out on those. Next time we are going to be early birds so we can have it all!!
Don't let the shacky appearance of the place fool you; they have great food, especially on the meaty side (hence the name), excellent pokè, and they'll get it to you pronto. The parking lot, if you can call it that, looks worse for wear, and there are 8 picnic tables where you can sit, half of them with umbrellas (needed for both sun and rain). But people don't come here for the ambiance! I got the Pork Laulau, which was pork baked in taro leaves, served with rice, salmon salsa, and a side of pokè: I got salmon with spicy sauce. It was so yummy! My dad got the Kalua Pork plate, which is pulled pork, which was also quite tasty. He and I split a side of kimchi cucumbers, which we enjoyed. My mom got the stir-fried chicken. She said the chicken was great, but that the vegetables had obviously been stir fried much earlier in the day so were a little droopy. All-in-all a great place and well worth the visit. Vegetarians not welcome. ;)
I recommend this poke place overall. Service was quick and poke seasonings were creative and light. If you are looking for poke with light seasonings instead of the heavy handed soy sauce or goopy spicy mayo, this place is for you. For example, the grandma's special is good, with ginger and fresh cilantro! The poke also comes with a side sauce that you pick, I picked the wasabi mayo. The best poke I ever tasted still remains the maguro brothers on Oahu!

Delicious find in Kapaa! We stopped by during our drive to Hanalei based on the great Yelp reviews. We ordered the poké, a musubi and the kalua pig. The poke was fantastic and so very fresh tasting! WOW! Simple ingredients but absolutely delicious. My family enjoyed the kalua pig dish (tender and flavorful), but said the musubi was missing a sauce that's normally an ingredient in most musubis. It's a cute walk-up shack to get food to go and they have picnic tables with umbrellas to enjoy your food. The service was friendly and nice from the young gal taking orders. It was a great find for us!
KAMAKAZI BOWL for the win. THREE hefty servings of poke for under $20. I tried the Maui onion, grandmas, and the spicy poke. They were all delicious. This is a great spot with fresh fish for an affordable price that will keep you full all day. Must stop by if you are in the area! Staff was super friendly too!
BRAH this place is ACTION!!! Let me tell you! If you want some bomb a$$ poke on Kaua'i PLEASE come show aloha to this place!!! It's a small place but not that easy to miss, There's lots of parking, they have some benches outside but no tables, which is fine cause with this heat, you gonna be wanting to eat in the AC of your car lol. They have coke products and juice for drinks. FOOD: The laulau is PERFECT. Salted perfectly and super moist. I loved the poke, honestly it doesn't even matter which flavor you get because all of it is MAIKA'I! So ono!!! Definitely gonna be one of the spots to add to your Kapa'a list! I'll be a forever customer! Mahalo guys for the excellent service and ono food!

Wow, got some of the best poke around. Pulled up and was greeted by two of the nicest people. They have outdoor seating with umbrellas to keep you cool. The poke is legit and so tasty. Also got the chili which was delicious. They even threw in a free lau lau. Overall, it was a great place to get a bite.
Epic Poke bowls. Hands down best poke on the island. I ordered the Kamikazi plate and you can choose 3 different scoops and choice of eel sauce, sriracha mayo or wasabi mayo drizzle. I got a side of Mac salad, kimchi cucumbers and spam musubi for a later snack. The plate was enough to feed two people so I had half left over. Highly recommend and enjoy the bowl on the beach across the street. All the poke flavors are delicious you can't go wrong. read more
Drive slowly if you are looking by for this place, we drove by 2x, the old signage is difficult to read -- but it's not far from the road, so keep your eyes peeled. With that said, this place is truly a hidden gem! They close at 3:00 (so keep that in mind). The poke was so fresh and the texture was perfect...almost like a fresh gummy bear! Lol We had the cali-style poke with spicy mayo & avocado and the sweet Maui onion poke -- both were deliciously perfect! My husband had the 2 item combo with kalua pork and poke adobo; both were very tasty -- the pork adobo was nice and tender and not too salty (just right). The service was friendly and fairly quick. There are a few picnic benches nearby, other than that this is not a dine-in location -- strictly to-go. Highly recommend and will definitely come back next time we're on the island! read more
If you're on the island reading this right now or planning on food itinerary, GO TO THIS SPOT ASAP This is one of the best pokes I've ever had in my life. Personally I'm a guy that just needs rice and poke so this suits my needs well off. Food: I ordered the large poke with 3 different selections of poke. I honestly forgot what I ordered, but I'm sure you're fine with whatever you get! Service: great quick service is all you need, they get your order and send you off with your food. Very good lau lau. Not too salty, wish I had hot sauce. Very generous portion of pork and taro leaves. The mini was great, the poke had too much sinew :( Would go again in a heart beat read more

This place looks like a small little shack, but the food was amazing. Total "hole in the wall" but we were so happy that the food was exceptional. There is a little picnic area with about 8 tables with umbrellas to eat. The first place on Kauai that I thought the poke was delicious and tasty and fresh. They also had laulau. That was a huge bonus- super meaty and made fresh. This was service with a smile. This was a hidden gem. I can't wait to come back here again. read more
Cute little shack that serves up some ono grinds! Service is very fast. The pork lau lau is so tender and delish. I shared the kamikaze poke bowl (3 poke choices) and my fav was the grandma graces cilantro poke. Each bite of fish was soft and delicate. Grab and go delicious meals with good portions making it overall best value poke. You walk up and order and there's plenty of parking and seating nearby. I got the Kamakazi which includes rice, three scoops of poke and a drizzle of sauce of your choice. I think two people can definitely split this based on the portion sizes. I got the grandma graces, Maui onion, and cold ginger drizzled with sriracha mayo. Super fresh, melt in your mouth poke and I loved the ginger one!! 5/5 amazing poke. Some of the most flavor spicy ahi we've had so far. Super fresh. Sushi rice with furikake on top was amazing. The unagi sauce drizzle makes poke so flavorful and savory. Brings together all the flavors. $13 for the regular bowl. Delish! Order at a window and wait for them to call your name. They were very friendly. Wish we could try more ! read more

Located in Kapaa, this is a cute little walk up shack just slightly off the main road, but can easily be seen. If you're driving too fast on the main road, you could miss it. We parked nearby and walked up to the building where the menus are posted outside on the walls. Once you decide, you then place your order at the little walk up window. We had been trying to try this place, but we had always been driving back too late, so we decided to grab food here early to bring back to our Airbnb and have for dinner. We decided to order the Kalua and LauLau combo Big Boy Plate. Came with both the Kalua pork and Lau Lau, the lomi salmon, choice of poke, which we chose Grandma Grace's. We asked them to package up the cold stuff (lomi salmon & poke) separately, so we could easily reheat the rest of the plate for dinner back at our Airbnb. The Kalua pork was juicy and seasoned, the Lau Lau was not dry and extremely tasty. The lomi salmon and the poke we picked was delicious. The poke was fresh and seasoned just right. Glad we decided to stop by here to pick up food to eat for dinner. read more

Ono! Don't let the little hut fool you. The food is Ono! Friendly, and great service Ordered: 1.)Lau Lau (s)- seasoned well and hella tender 2.)Poki nachos(s) - fresh and yummy. Good sized portion. Wanton chips are light, crispy and crunchy 3.)Poki donut -super cute concept 4.)Poki bowl(s)-great portion, fresh and seasoned well and rice was perfect Other: parking all around less busy in the off season. Hard to find parking in the summer time. -Walk up and order -Takes card and cash -No bathroom available -not a sit in or sit down place. -$$ compared to everywhere else which is $$$ This is a must have and must try! Their food is AMAZING! I was very impressed with how flavorful everything was and loved the Lomi Lomi. We also tried one of their desserts called the pumpkin crunch and wowwzaaa. I'm going to be thinking about how good it was for a long time. They also have lots of outdoor seating and highly recommend giving this place a try! read more
We had the best kalua pork and lau lau here. There is a little outdoor seating area with picnic tables if you want to eat there, but you might not want to stay if the sun, birds or flies are too much. The poke and lomi salmon were good too but it's hard to find bad versions of those in Kapaa. read more
I love poke, so I looked through yelp and came across Leong's. My friend and I had hiked in the morning so I got a little greedy and got the 3 poke plate: spicy ahi, spicy shrimp and the da cali (crab + avocado). The plate itself was pretty hefty (lots of rice), but also so much sauce! Now, I love me a spicy mayo sauce, but, it was a lot, and I can't say that the spicy ahi was spicy as much as it had a lot of sauce. My friend got a three poke plate too, but she didn't go for spicy, so hers was better and obviously less about the mayo and more about the fresh fish. So, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt here, but would say as someone who loves mayo, this was way too much, so maybe steer clear and go for the non-sauce options. Also, for the price of ~$16 for a 3 poke bowl, it's significantly more expensive than Pono down the street. read more

This place is the SPOT for fresh poke! They are fast, cost-effective, and straight to the point. The employees are super nice and friendly, and made the whole experience fun. There is a small dirt parking lot next to the shop and you just walk up to the window and order. Your food is typically ready in under 5 minutes. The food itself is absolutely delicious and so FRESH. I totally recommend coming here and trying it out! read more

WOW!!! Excellent food! Driving around spotted this little place off to the side, "grass fed beef" caught my eye on the menu... saw 4.9 rating on Google... had the Laulau plate (seasoned shredded pork with taro leaves steamed inside banana leaves) with Maui Onion Poke and it may be my favorite food on the island. Very fresh tasting, reasonably priced, would HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

Came here on a recommendation from a person working at Koloa Rum and their recommendation was spot on! A small place in Kapa'a that has some tables outside with umbrellas. We got a poke order and a Lau Lau plate. Those were the most solid poke and Lau Lau dishes we have had in some time. You settle on the type of poke and rice (including sushi rice) and a type of drizzle. The Lau Lau was really good - you got the great pork and butterfish, with a nice smoky flavor. The place comes with a small poke (your choice of type) and a small side of lomi lomi salmon. All the food was fantastic and super fresh. This place is easy to miss, but be sure to GPS it if you are in the Kapa'a area. read more

My husband and I visited this place on our honeymoon in Kauai after seeing the good reviews and mouthwatering photos. Did not disappoint! The Kamakazi is such a great deal for the amount of fish and the price. I hope to visit them in a few years when we return! read more
