He has helped guide me and direct me through dealing with some serious medical issues requiring specialized physicians and surgeons including sepsis and cancer. He and his staff have always been very responsive and understanding with terrific "Bedside Manner". I took advantage of and enrolled in a Concierge Physicians program to which he belongs. The service offers several benefits. One of the most important benefits for me is virtually instant accessibility to him and/or his staff 24/7. I would recommend Dr. Saunders as a very competent practitioner of Internal Medicine as well as a down to earth General Practitioner or Primary Care Physician.

However I called back and they said that they were going to call a mediation to my pharmacy. I go the pharmacy and nothing was called so naturally I called them back. Some rude assistant picked up trying to rush me off the phone and she said they never called the prescription because the dr wanted to talk to me. I said I wished you called to let me know. She got so rude on the phone and saying she doesn't have time for that and that they are short staffed. I said please do be snippy with me, and as I was speaking to make an appointment she hung up. So I called back, I don't know who picked up (most likely the same person) I said why did I get hang up on, and she hung up again for the third time. Someone called me from the office and without asking me what happened stating that I am being rude to the staff. I laughed because at this point it was funny. I explained myself again, and made an appointment that I cancelled right away .this was just for a physical appointment , what if I was sick and they act like that again and again ....I was going to ask to be a concierge patient, but they don't need my money I guess. Do not recommend them at all very very, very rude people no social skills whatsoever shame or Dr, Saunders employing people like that..

I was heartbroken to learn of his passing today from his staff. He was such a kind, gentle man. I enjoyed going to his office as it wasn't ever over crowded and behind like others. I usually am waiting over an hour at any other office to be seen as the doctors are usually way behind schedule and putz around. I also enjoyed stepping back in time a bit, it was pure nostalgia walking into his office. I felt like a kid again with all of the older decor. I was really sick in December 2021. I did a Telehealth call and was prescribed medicine by another doctor. I wasn't getting any better and finally made the trip to see Dr Jutkowitz. He pulled out this old looking machine and got to work cleaning out my ears and trying to help me hear again. I swear, this man was such a gem or a human being. He wasn't like all of the ones just looking to throw medicine at you. He wanted to fix the issue and knew how to every time. I am thankful I was under his great care for many years and he is missed!

I found this odd, but answered anyway. I was told that Dr. Jutkowitz doesn't prescribe medications very easily, to which I said I was basically looking for a new PCP, as I have just moved back to CT. She then asked again if I was looking for medication. I assured her that I wasn't someone who was looking for a doctor to prescribe medication, and that I was looking for a PCP. She then rudely told me they weren't accepting new patients and hung up on me.

I called to discuss their error and was told I was billed for TWO office visits for my ONE appointment! So while my 'annual physical' appt was covered 100% under preventative, I was on the line for the 2nd office visit of $250. When we went into the nitty gritty of why I was charged for a 2nd visit, it was from a question the doc asked ME, which I responded with 'it's fine'. It wasn't even a conversation lasting more then 5 SECONDS. After FOUR attempts at calling them to resolve my issue, which nobody ever called me back, I gave up and now go elsewhere.

Medically sophisticated, highly intelligent, thoroughly cultured and a good sense of humor. He really does know his oats -- every one of them! His office is readily accessible, easy parking and just off the Merritt. It is also full of some delightful ladies-who-lunch behind the front desk who are extremely helpful. Dr Shin, who has seen me a few times, is also wonderful. I am deeply grateful that I arrived at this office some ten years ago!

Also, the office wants to charge you ahead even before billing to your insurance to see what you really need to pay for visits or services like EKG etc. Once they made me pay for an EKG and then my insurance paid them too. so, they Got paid twice for the service and never heard back from them. I had to double check and call them & they wanted me to go to the office in person in order to refund me my payment when they already had my CC information. Another issue, they don't send statements neither call if you have a balance pending. How are you supposed to know if you have a pending balance or where to send the payment payable to who? etc. I really tried to stay in the office because the DR. is good but to have a hard time every time you need something is not good at all.

Dr. Fahmi has been my physician for nearly 20 years and was also my mother's PCP until her untimely passing from Leukemia. She is compassionate, thorough, and a consummate professional. I am a licensed medical provider and have never felt uncomfortable, unheard, or in doubt about her care. I have known Lourdes, her medical assistant, equally as long as she is truly a gem of the practice. I'm seen right away and have rarely been in the waiting room with more than one other person, at most 2 or 3. Are there times when there may be a longer wait? I'm sure of it, but this happens in every facet of healthcare. Dr. Fahmi is an excellent choice if you are looking for a competent and caring medical provider.
