Best haircut I ever got. Was recommended to go there by my cousin who's a barber in Arizona. Went to see Rudy. Rudik gave me razor skin fade. I was against the razor cut as I have very sedative skin and get an irritation easily. But he assured me he'd go gentle and its what's needed. I like a barber who knows what's he's doing and recommends what's best for the cut and doesn't just do what you tell him and botch up the whole thing. The place was a true barber shop, all the barbers had their own clientele patiently waiting to get their cut. Afterward I enjoyed a classic arc are game .. Mortal Combat! Not your average barber shop!! Leon is not your average barber. Though his prices may be that of a regular barber, his haircuts are equal to if not better than that of a salon. First time I came here I made an appointment with Leon, (As wait times could be long) I was seen right on time. He surveyed my head and face and began to cut. I was slightly skeptical as to him not asking what I wanted, but was not disappointed at the end. Leon is hands down the best barber on long island. He knows everything about his craft and does customers of all ages and haircuts. I drive a half hour just to go to him for the past 5 years. He is a perfectionist and it shows in his haircuts and how much he cares that everyone gets the best haircut from him. He knows all the new hairstyles and personalizes them to his customers to best suit them. He also has trained a few other barbers that I have went to and they all did a great job as well. I wasn't happy about having my hair cut with a "Buzzer ". I wasn't asked if I wanted it that way, if I was I would have said Not to. This is usually done by inept barbers , or barbers who are in a hurry. Neither is good for me, and I won't be returning here. A hint for this establishment. Use the Shears! Salon quality haircut for under $20. My friend put me on to Leon's 7 years ago and I've been going there ever since. Leon is a perfectionist and takes extreme care with every haircut. I have been coming to Leons for over 10 + years, I always make my appointment with Leon but if for some reason he is not in that day the next go to guys work is based off of Leons so it's a win win. Very clean & comfortable atmosphere with Tvs for sports & movies while you wait. read more
