Unremarkable at best - service was horrible - people who walked in after us were served before us - I believe that the last shall be first to an extent. Doubtful that my wife will return. Even though they were very busy we got to a table right away. Waitress was kind, did a great job w drink refills while we waited for our food. Omelette were good, just cooked a little harder/more done than I prefer. I took the star off for that, as well as our seat right next to their side entrance, which was miserably cold on a January day. They should make that a warm weather entrance only, as it's awful to sit there during the winter. read more

Absolute worst Leo's on the planet. Had I not worked 12 hours prior to coming here I might not be so upset. They made my food incorrectly TWICE! I ordered a chicken wrap with Swiss cheese. The first time they brought out a chicken PITA. The second time a chicken wrap with American cheese after I waited over 20 minutes for a remake. I ordered my usual greek salad and found it more or less up to standard. They didn't stint on the ingredients. Lots of greens, lots of chicken, lots of feta, three tubs of dressing (though two were plenty). Pepperoncini and olives were firm and zesty. Chicken was lukewarm, and the grilled pita was a bit dry. Very casual, modern diner type feel. Our service was good. Our waitress was very good and provided great service. The food was good. I tried the coneys with fries and they were pretty good! They did not skimp on the chili and the portion sizes were quite large. The prices were pretty decent as well. They had a very large menu with lots of different options. There are times in one's life, when you need a step above the fast food fare offered by nationwide burger chains. While this step might not be a five-star establishment that makes Michelin's "best of" list, at least you're able to enjoy a form of American cuisine known as the Coney Island, or better known in the Midwest as the ubiquitous hot dog. However, don't let the name food you, Leo's offers much more than just frankfurter in a bun. I, along with millions of other Americans, really don't have time to prepare a balanced breakfast in the morning. Therefore, greasy spoons like Leo's are a great place to enjoy a delicious meal first thing after the sunrise, or meet up with colleagues before starting work. The breakfast menu at Leo's offers some really great choices that are easy on your wallet. I have always had a weakness for pancakes in the morning, drenched with butter and maple syrup (I know, it's not a healthy choice, but it's so very delicious) and Leo's offers you a choice of bacon or sausage links with this entrée that really hits the spot. However, if you like eggs like I do in the morning, then you can order them with your pancakes, as they have numerous specials available that you can choose whatever you like the most. I have tried the various sandwiches are here and they are very good. The Cheesesteak Hoagie is truly fantastic, and you can't go wrong with the burgers at this place. However, if you enjoy something lite, I have tried the soup and salad section, and in the summertime it really hits the spot. Leo's wouldn't be a Coney Island, if they didn't serve their signature hotdogs. I love them with chili and onions, but anything beyond that and its time to break-out the Alka-Seltzer, and I never go to Leo's without it! read more

I'm a huge fan of Leo's since I used to work near the original one in Southfield years ago. It still is my absolute favorite Greek salad of all times, their dressing is the absolute best. I met my sister and niece here for lunch and ordered my favorite a large chicken Greek salad. It was amazing as always and so much food, I ate the rest for dinner and was a happy girl. I'm so glad they expanded to include more areas around Metro Detroit. I lived near here for years and was never blessed with a close Leo's restaurant but would travel to Canton location to get my salad. There are so many other choices that are delicious here also but I always go back to my favorite everytime. I frequent the Saline location as its closer to my house. This location does very well, it was pretty busy on the Sunday we came but the staff was on top of it. The service was great. I was impressed that my cooked chicken came on the side with my salad as some may to mix in it themselves. Great job Leo's as always read more

This is my very first time to Michigan and of course after a 5am flight I was extremely hungry. Walking in I was impressed, there was quite a crowd and being the first Saturday of college football everyone was in blue or yellow so of course I figured if the locals like it then it must be good. We were seated quickly with was a good start, there was a mess under the table which the waitress swept up before seating us another good point. We were a party of four and we all ordered water to drink, got that in a reasonable time, we weren't ready to order then so asked that she comes back. This is where it appeared to have all gone downhill. She took quite a while to come back to the table to ask again if we were ready to order. However when she did we got all our orders placed. The problem was it took forever to get our dishes out to us. The place was clearing up so the crowd couldn't have been the delay. Two people in our party had to get to the game so they couldn't wait for their food and had to leave, those dishes were taken off our ticket. And one of the dishes that was did received was charged for cheese but they forgot to put the cheese and the toast was cold, at this point she didn't even want me to ask for fresh toast thinking it was be a delay in that as well. The waitress was not attentive at all, after bringing out food not once did she come ask if everything was fine or if we needed anything else. I've had bad service but nowhere near as bad as this, I'm a great tipper but I couldn't bare to offer a tip other than Do better! Through all this the owner did come out to speak and apologize and still packed up the food to the members in our party that had to leave. Hopefully they would even want it later. read more

This is my new favorite Coney Island. It is very clean and light and airy. Seats are not crowded together. The service was amazing, from the young man who seated me to every wait staff member I saw/heard, they were so friendly and respectful. My own waitress was the absolute best. I will no longer return here after what just happened to me today at this location. Save yourself the trouble and dont stop here. I ordered the simplest bacon and fried egg sandwich with emphasis on bacon being cooked well. April the manager took my carry out order. I checked order and had to give it back. Bacon looked undercooked, dry, bread barely toasted and sandwich was just thrown together rather sloppy. A nice young guy offered to have it remade. I consented. Well I knew it was not going to be any different when it was given back to me in less than 5 minutes. It was the same sandwich with undercooked bacon with just Mayo added. I politely asked for a refund and was offered another remake. I declined a third redo and April told me she couldn't give me a refund "company policy" and person above her would have to decide. I asked to speak to someone higher up than herself. She told me that she wasnt calling him. I asked another staff if they could call him. They started to call and to my surprise she stopped him and said she is the supervisor and asked me to move over. I stepped to side still waiting and April comes to say that she called the police because I hadnt left. 3 officers walk in door and now she comes with her supervisor on the phone. Im assuming to cover up poor behavior as they were walking in because prior to she flat out told me that she wasn't calling her supervisor. He tried to get me to remake . I insisted that I don't want to patronize after horrible treatment and with 3 police officers being called on me for nothing. He finally decided to refund me. Officers were really nice and understanding. Id never return here. I hate to say but April must've thought because Im African American calling the police would be in her favor. Not. She wasted the officers time and showed just how hateful she is. Major let down by this establishment. The staff was extremely rude. We didn't know they closed at 3 on a Sunday and we're greeted with an unwelcoming "we're closed, that's what the sign says". Just could have been nicer about it, they seemed very eager to get us back out that door which doesn't strike me as great service regardless of being open or not. One star since I was able to enjoy one cup of coffee as we waited another 35 minutes for refills and food. Luckily we went to the front to have the food boxed to go and pay the bill because that's when we found out the breakfast special we ordered wasn't being made because the ingredients had been put away already! The place maybe had 4 or 5 tables. The host was more concerned about her friends sitting at one of the tables next to the servers complaining and counting their money. I just think we were treated with just disrespect not only by that hostess but the manager in general. He was not apologetic at all for the mistakes made and he coped in attitude with us when we asked for our money back because we never got are food after we were told it was being boxed up to go. The food is usually pretty good, but during this covid time the cleanliness of the place is not on par. I've witnessed multiple people come in and be seated without mask while other patrons are dining. My utensils weren't very clean and the condiments on the tables didn't seem to have been cleaned. My husband was disappointed in the quality of the grilled chicken that was in the cobb salad, it was dry and over cooked. The Honey Tree Grille that was previously located here was going downhill, ok it was spinning on an unstoppable downward spiral to an inevitable crash and burn. Just what Michigan needed, another Leo's. I don't mean that in an awful way but jeez they are indeed everywhere. This is not as good as my personal fave Leo's in Plymouth but it'll do. Friendly, fast and with most of the Leo's faves. Just give me a Greek or pasta Greek salad topped with tasty grilled chicken and I am a-ok here. The large Greek pasta salad is enough for three or four meals and is less than 8 bucks, happiness. I meet my dad here a lot. The patty melts here make my father quite happy especially with an o-ring substitution, he recommends a gyro with extra sauce and the coneys with a side of chili fries too. The man is near seventy and shockingly his cholesterol is fine. My much healthier eating mother had a multiple valve bypass before sixty though. Whose genes do you figure I got? I am not that lucky, trust me. I got the man's taste for fat and my mother's valves, I'm sure of it. I digress though... The breakfasts here are just meh. That goes for both sweet or savory, my husband was the sweet volunteer. Coffee was weak to boot. Swing by for lunch or just get lunchy things for breakfast, that's what I do. The score here is boosted by the terrific service and pleasant atmosphere. I got a to go salad the night before my 20 hour workday and woke to pack it up the next morning to realize they forgot the chicken, I called and they had me swing by for a whole new salad, all ready to go when I got there as they knew I was in a big rush. They threw in a ton of extras like warm pitas and extra dressing too. I tried to return the one they had given me the night before and they told me to keep it. This Leo's is very close to home for us. For the location, price, and speed, it's a decent spot. I think their food is okay, fair at best, but they are fast and friendly. We tend to get take out omelets. Everything is well-packed. The omelets are large, filling and well-cooked. The toast is packed separately, so it doesn't get soggy. The hash browns almost always need some more crunch, longer time on the grill. read more

Ordered perch dinner what I received was 3 perch fish sticks and I'm not joking. The fries were cold and we had to wait and ask for tartar and lemon. The fish sticks were so soggy you could have wrung out a quart of oil instead of been crispy. read more
