Stopped in for breakfast. Friendly and welcoming staff had us seated right away in a fun, colorful, diner atmosphere. The menu had so much to choose from. I had the French toast latte iced which was great and fun. We started with the loaded tater tots which were delicious and had a great dipping sauce (also good with ketchup). We stopped in to Anna's House for brunch on Friday and couldn't have been happier with both the food and the service. This was my mama's first time there and she ordered the bistro breakfast burger with sweet potato fries. She said it was THE best burger she had ever had. She felt that the burger was seasoned wet well and cooked perfectly, she thought the bacon was "weird" but good (lol) said she could eat it every day. lol The hubs ordered the chicken n waffles and said that the chicken was very moist and the waffle was light and fluffy. He said he would definitely order it again. I had the eggs Benedict with diced potatoes. I love me a good eggs Benedict and thought this was up there as far as top 5 for me. The only thing I would change is have them double toast the English muffin as it's never toasty enough for me. But all in all, it was very good and would highly recommend it. I called hours before to see if a table of 8 is something they could seat as you cannot select over 6 in the online waitlist. We arrived 30 mins before we wanted to be seated at 11:30. No problem. We had a table just when they promised. I was surprised that they were very busy for a Saturday. Not as usual. Service was slow but nice. Way too quiet in speech for how loud it is in there. It made conversation difficult. Food is great. Coffee is not but it's hot. Easy and plenty of parking. The menu has amazing selections. I've wanted to come here every time I come into town from California and finally I got the chance. Enjoyed a nice cappuccino and the corned beef hash skillet with an over easy egg was yummy. Lovely retro ambiance with super friendly service which was both helpful and non-invasive. I had a lovely special latte which was very satisfying (they can make decaf!). The breakfast burger was interesting. They were able to hold the onions and even thought to warn me about the chives in the potato hash that garnished it. They have their own parking lot in a small plaza. They are right by a lake and the building is painted very cute. Lots of cute decorations too! We were seated right away but waited a little for the waitress. We ordered the Corn Beef Egg hash, Twilight pancakes, and a side of sweet potato fries. The food took awhile to come! I was sooo hungry. We waited about 20 minutes. The Corn Beef egg hash was ok...the meat was dry. The Twilight French Toast were good but after eating about two slices, it started to taste meh. And I recommend ordering the half order cause it was very filling! The bread is actually very thick. The sweet potato fries were the best thing there! I enjoyed eating those with ketchup. Walked in and it's such a cute place, reminds me of my great grandmothers house. Worker are really friendly. This is my opinion but I eat at a lot of places. I'm pretty sure they pre cook everything and heat it up in microwave! Plates are hot as all heck but food is not warm at all. Bacon was like it was sitting out for a bit. All the food I had got was cold. If they would make sure the food was as hot as the plates it would be supper good! I also found a hair in my food. It was taken off bill and they gave me a free monkey bread (I didn't try it yet). They said to put in microwave for 3 minutes and turn upside down. Our group had a broad sample of the menu, from the breakfast casserole, to the monkey bread, to the cinnamon roll, to the hash browns, the pancakes, the French toast and the corned beef hash. Had to try the billion dollar latte too, complete with a slice of bacon, loved the bold. Let's start with the highlight, it was the monkey bread, if anything should be labeled "famous" and "must try" that's the item. It came out piping hot and fresh, we finished every bite. The billion dollar bacon from the latte fulfilled its promises of yum as well. Now to everything else, the range was from "good" to "just okay", nothing stood out as the best we've had, or worthy of a menu light. Particularly disheartening was the famous lasagna which was more of an egg meatloaf than layers of breakfast delicious, which is what I was expecting. The service was friendly and super fast, and the ambiance and "house" feel was cute, with small touches like coffee to go, and mismatched mugs complimenting the vibes of kind and homey. I'd come again for monkey bread and a cup of coffee, and maybe to explore more of an, admittedly massive menu, that is very friendly for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. read more

We stopped here on the way home to Ohio. Super cute place. Serves Bfast and lunch. Easy to find off the highway but not directly off the highway. It's a house connected to an Olive Garden. It's also in an office park kinda setting. When you walk in its bright colors and they have lots of old timey chachkies like crockery and stuff. The server was nice. We asked her questions on the menu and she happily answered. 2 of the 3 of us got Bfast and I got lunch. It was noon so there it is. I ordered the Asian salad in a wrap with kettle chips. It was good and decent. I'd get it again. Chips were good and the wrap was grilled and was very flavorful. And the blasts were a hit. The eggs Benedict and some pancakes. All good! The place was crowded good crowd. It's looks small but it is a good size and can fit a lot of people. Prices were about average. Overall I was impressed and enjoyed my lunch and the experience. Just needed to leave a review after having what might be one of the best brunches I've ever eaten. I ordered a Brussel Sprout and Sweet Potato Bowl with scrambled eggs and English muffins... It was just superb, divine, and filling. To nitpick, I'd have liked the English Muffin a little more toasted, and the Sunrise Juice I had was a little heavy on the Carrot juice, but the amount of Tajin on the rim made up for it. Really cool spot with a modern flare and touch of retro diner including old diner pieces used in decor and complete with a giant mural in the center of the restaurant. Lots of seating options and parking available. They have seasonal menu options and specials. We opted for the Monte crisco (hubs fav), the avocado toast for me and a monkey bread to share. Monkey bread was exceptional, terrible to admit but we ate all but two bites of it! It's a very very shareable size. We wish they offered half size portion. The Monte crisco was great. Perfect toast on the bread and bold flavors. The avocado toast is actually guacamole toast. I was sadly disappointed with this dish. The guacamole was a very thin smear without much flavor and the eggs were tiny. Overall good just skip the avocado toast and try another menu item. The service was good. This is my go-to spot for post-night shift breakfast. They have parking, good open space, and never a wait around 7:30 AM. I usually get some hashbrowns and the toast is really good too. Visiting from CO and tried out this brunch spot. Everything was from the plant based menu. Quesadillas, Breakfast burrito, Southwest bowl (which came out on a plate haha) and Sweet Potato and Brussel Hash. They were extremely busy, maybe short staffed, however it was prime brunch time on a Sunday? Breakfast Burrito was ok, cheeze wasn't melted and the burrito was just warm at best. Tots were at least crispy and the guacamole helped. The quesadillas were tasty and flavorful and very loaded, no structural integrity so a knife and fork is a must. The Sweet Potato and Brussel Hash had a lovely presentation however fell short on delivery with the sweet potatoes being under cooked along with the flavor missing that wow factor. The Dried cherries and balsamic did their best. Added was the vegan pancake which would have fooled anyone, light and fluffy. The Chipotle "Bowl" was the biggest plate and seemed to be the best choice. Solid effort for many Vegan Breakfast options. Most other patrons/locals seemed to be very happy as well. I do enjoy having a breakfast/lunch place so near to my house and all the other things I do in A2... but this place really could use several things to make it a 4 or 5 star place. Let's start with the good: - Delicious food, fresh, usually cooked to order - There is a parking lot (can get really full though) - The servers tend to be attentive and kind - The decor is fresh and light The stuff that needs work: - I'd love a bloody Mary or cocktail coffees - The eggs tend to get over-cooked (it's happened 3 times) - The bathroom needs some cleaning attention (no paper towels, the soap in one of the dispensers was out, and the stall doors are so so dirty) - Every time I go and there isn't enough staff or they've just had shift change, the hostess tells you you have to wait. That's just dumb (and terrible customer service). This has happened to me twice... and it just rubs me the wrong way. I mean, just tell me that you'll seat me but that it will take a few minutes to get service because you don't have enough staff, or you just had a lot of customers seated at once. People will understand that better than making you wait in the COLD entryway just to seat you 5 minutes later. Tell me AT MY TABLE that it will take 5 extra minutes to get a server. That's more welcoming, and less rejecting than the policy they implement right now. read more

I've visited Anna's House a few times this year and it has started to grow on me. Both visits have been for brunch, and it has been a great central spot for everyone to get together. Several friends and I have diets we follow that may involve avoiding certain things (gluten, dairy, vegan, etc), and the menu makes it easy to see what foods are good choices. I recommend joining the waitlist if you want to go on a weekend - this place is popular! And you may have to wait a bit once you're there (for your table and then for food), but if you're not in a rush, it's a great spot. Visiting our own Wolverine we checked out the well reviewed Anna's House for breakfast. Short version: We were seated quickly even on a busy Saturday morning. Service was quick and kind and the food was very good. My meal was not as exciting as I hoped but still good. I had some coffee which is listed as Zingerman's special blend for the Anna's restaurant. It was good but not too special though my wife quite liked it. she and our oldest ordered and split the breakfast Mexican meal which I sampled as very good. They also had a massive cinnamon bun that aped and exceeded Cinnabon. I preferred the Mexican dish over my own egg lasagna which came with roasted potatoes. It was good but had a bit too much bechamel and a bit too little of the internal spinach, tomatoes, sundried tomatoes and chicken sausage. The lils had pancakes and French toast and devoured them without complaints. There's lots of vegan and vegetarian options which is good for two of my family. And lots of other enticing menu items. Even with food left and long empty cups. That's just bad service. Hey my husband would be fine with paying for more coffee. I would have been more than willing to pay for more tea. Do we gotta beg? I honestly would not come back here. The food was mostly nice but the service and overall experience makes me feel like we threw 50 bucks in the gutter. I literally felt awful just being here and I'm a fan of the chain overall. By the way just one hint of niceness, of friendliness or of care could have saved it. Inside decor is very nice, hostess staff was very pleasant. Our waitress took our order fairly quickly she was nice, but I think she may have forgotten our latte as it was served after our food arrived. The lavender is really strong and it was complimented with a perfect amount of maple, if you like floral drinks you will love this latte. The banana pecan French toast was one of the best things, I have put in my mouth. The bread has the perfect consistency. The rum based sauce is amazing, but my favorite is the cream they put on top. My wife absolutely loved her corn beef hash and you get nice chunks of corn beef not the super diced amounts some restaurants serve. Definitely one of the better breakfast lunch spots in Ann Arbor. For both of us everything was $42, so with tip two people can expect to spend $40-50 depending if you get a latte or not. read more
