Was a regular at M&M Cafe in Dearborn that closed 5 years ago. Not associated with original, this place opened 15 years ago. A true Ma n Pa Diner with fantastic food and low Prices for the win. From the moment you hit the door overwhelming feeling of a true family friendly restaurant. They treat everyone like family, warm friendly service with a smile goes a long way. Had a true proper Club Sandwich with Real White Turkey Breast, Dearborn Brand Ham and Bacon only 8 bucks OMG. We started with delicious Split Pea Soup spot on Delicious . She had outstanding Chicken Kebab with Peppers and Onions a real winner. Mind Blowing Greek Spinach Pie Wowed best ever eaten a must try. Tender Flaky Crust filled with Spinach n Cheese mixture, loaded with flavor every bite. I added the updated menu to Yelp and Google take a look, lowest prices in Canton a must visit. #cantonmi #familydiner #chickenkebab #clubsandwich #spinachpie #splitpeasoup #lowprices #downriverfriendseat

I had some time to kill before the grocery store opened and I happened upon this little Cafe. I was immediately greeted and my order was taken quickly. I opted for the farmers omelete with a side of well done bacon. The omelet was overstuffed, in a good way, with meat, hashbrowns, onions, green pepper, and cheese. It came out quick too. It is super clean inside and rhe food was delish.

For the first time in several weeks, my wife and I had the opportunity to grab a sit down meal inside a dining establishment. Due to Covid-19 fears and social distancing mandates in the state of Michigan, many business/restaurant owners have been struggling to make ends meet. Thankfully these restaurants are slowly able to reopen their doors again beyond simply takeout or delivery. To be perfectly honest this wasn't planned. We just happened to be in the area that morning and just had a craving for a good breakfast. M&M Cafe was conveniently nearby so we gave it a shot. Small and simple diner not unlike any Coney Island you've ever been to. The staff were warm and friendly and you could tell they were happy to be finally serving customers face to face (while still following protocols but course). We loved everything we ate. It wasn't the best breakfast of all time, but it really hit the spot after months of not being able to just sit in a restaurant and be at peace with my wife. If you do get the gyro omelette, I highly recommend the tzatziki sauce to go with it. Wonderful experience all around.

I have been to this place around four times, and I really like coming here. They are more like a traditional Mom & Pop coney island/cafe, but offer some more sections, including seafood, and pasta dishes. Likewise, their portions are very large, and you won't leave the table feeling underfed. Mostly, I've visited the M&M during the lunch hour. If you're not in a hurry, and enjoy a good sit-down meal this is a great place to eat at. I've always liked their sandwiches, but their homemade soups are fantastic. While some people love soup out of a can, you can't beat freshly made soup like this, especially when it's freezing weather outside. You can feel the good vibes it gives off, as it warms you from the inside out. I have to admit that the Turkey Reubens at this place very good as well. While not the absolute best I've ever had, it beats out a lot of other greasy spoons I've been to over the years. I really need to wake up early one morning and try out the breakfast menu at this location.

The cocktails are stunning, the food (whether brunch or dinner) is consistently memorable, and apparently every plate is so beautiful that I feel compelled to photograph it. Beyond the food, the service is always exceptional. The staff strikes that perfect balance of polished and warm, making every visit feel like a special occasion. And then there's the atmosphere. The abundant natural light, thoughtful seasonal décor, and the undeniable gravitas of a beautifully restored former bank create an experience that feels both elegant and welcoming. The Ledger is absolutely worthy of being a destination restaurant for celebrations and milestones. But the biggest compliment I can give it is this: we don't save it only for special occasions. Whenever we're nearby, we make a point to stop because the food, drinks, and experience are just that good and the seasonal specials never stay as long as you'd hope. And of course, the speakeasy downstairs is always the perfect end to the night.

Ordered Brussel chips, fat-sar salad, Lobster Mac N Cheese, truffle fries, G.O.A.T. 22, trumpet scallop pad Thai. $170.66 The Brussel chips, lobster Mac and the trumpet scallops (mushrooms) Pad Thai noodles were good at least. The G.O.A.T., Fat-sar and truffles were all underwhelming for me. Their tomahawk steaks are huge, table next to us got two cut up table side. You can smell the smoke flavor from the old fashioned drinks as soon as you walk in the door.

From the gardens to the land with a creek flowing though it -- to the beautiful building and pleasing decor inside and a porch with tables around much of it. So impressed. The menu, our server explained, is changed out quarterly and this is the new summer one. So many unique small and large plates (but when he described them, they were way more intricate and enticing than the menu even showed). He was attentive and helped guide our choices. We ordered the eggplant small plate to share, then the mushroom pizza (so much tastier than the description would indicate), and the wild boar brat with cherry and peach accents. Everything was delicious. I also got an iced latte with the house made mocha and it was better than alcohol, if you're a coffee lover anyway. 100% plan to come back! And likely soon. This is up there with how I feel about Sylvan Table, which is a huge compliment to Dixboro Project!

This Sunday, my mom invited myself and my siblings to join her for brunch. The ambience was amazing - with lovely natural lighting and gorgeous table settings. The menu makes every dish seem mouthwatering and delicious. When the plates came out, they were gorgeous and the food looked so inviting. Unfortunately, the taste was completely lacking. If you're going to charge the prices they're charging, the flavor should be amazing in every single bite. We sampled four different dishes, and none blew me away. Some, were even borderline "bad." Here's a rundown: mushroom pizza - the description makes it seem like it will be cheesy and full of flavor, but it was very one note duck confit pizza - had three pieces of duck on it and was otherwise covered in hot peppers lemon blueberry pancake - more of a skillet cake - sauce was the best part, otherwise dry on the bottom Raclette burger - $30 which is almost comparable in price to a burger I had at The Four Seasons in Maui. That burger, was worth every penny. This one had absolutely no flavor. The meat tasted like mush - definitely lacked seasoning, and there was not a speck of cheese to be found. If you're going to call a burger a raclette, it should be oozing with cheese. grilled Romaine salad - leaves were bitter and the dressing again, looked delicious, but had no flavor. The flavors did not compliment each other at all - with the pickled grapes, taking away from the dish and contrasting very starkly against the rotten tasting lettuce Brown sugar oat milk latte - really the only thing that delivered both on looks and on flavor. Sadly, not high on my list of places to return. It kind of made me think of Vegas: lots of pomp and glam which momentarily distracts you into thinking you're having the best time of your life. But in retrospect, not very fulfilling.

The ingredients were fresh ... melted smoked Gouda, (shredded) lettuce, tomato and pickled peppers. Not a fan of shredded lettuce. I prefer a couple of leaves of chilled crisp lettuce. The tomato was a winter tomato and did not add any acidity. The bun was properly toasted a beautiful golden brown. The onion rings ... sigh. Tasty and not a grease farm ... and while fried perfectly, they arrived mostly a giant lump of stuck together. They were served hot and on a separate plate a few minutes after the burger arrived. I decided to splurge and try a peanut butter shake. Terrific ice cream ... no HFCS aftertaste. Great peanut butter flavor. Two disappointments: - Value. $8 for the size ... insufficient value. - I like my milkshakes to be blended a bit coarse; not blended textureless, soft-serve smooth. You've been warned. My wife ordered the bison burger, well done. It was served precisely as ordered. She was happy. The portion of sweet potato fries was large, properly fried and served hot. Ambiance ... disturbed by one VERY LOUD woman engaged in a running dialog with the bartender. They seemed to know each other. Otherwise; it is clean, organized and has a good neighborhood bar vibe. In essence, if you've had one pizza from the Big Three, you'll find they are they are very much alike. Growing up in the 1970s into 1990s, independent Mom and Pop restaurants served the best pizza you have ever tasted. Sadly, most of them have faded away over the years, but Maria's in Canton has real staying power and have been in business for over four decades. The owners of Maria's firmly believe in giving their customers the best service possible. They treat you more like family than just a number. They have always been one to think outside the box when it comes creating new and exciting products. Today, my coworkers and I enjoyed one of their truly unique concepts that was very delightful. No other restaurant that I know of, has ever offered a Thanksgiving themed pizza before. However, some creative genius who works in kitchen at Maria's let their mind run wild, and you end up with pizza that has a bread like crust, mashed potatoes for a base, then all the fixings like turkey, dressing and light cheese. To top it off, you can add gravy like I did, or cranberry sauce. If you ever have the chance, the interior at Maria's is rather interesting.
