Leo's has always been good to us. The service is quick, which having a little one is a huge plus. Drink refills are always to us before our glass is empty. The food is you typical Coney food but they are so accommodating that it brings us back. Clean booths and whenever a table isn't clean yet they are quick to get it clean. This place went from 4 to 5 stars to 1 star... I live literally right down the road and our family has owned this house for 30 years and never had we gone to this restaurant and had the worst portion size and been lied to. So I normally order the pot roast. This time not only was there barely any meat or gravy but there was a half cup of potatoes the cheapest food to make since it is made from a box obviously. Oh and did I mention there was barely any gravy on Pot Roast... Then I made an to go order the cinnamon roll French toast and a side of corn beef hash hoping that maybe this would be better. Guess what they brought out... Only 1 slightly old and dry cinnamon roll cut in half not battered not cooked with no syrup and the portion of corn beef hash was at best 1/4 cup size. Did you know they use the kind from a can that you can buy for about a $1 at the store across the street? So they tried to charge $2.99 for $0.15 worth of food. The so called "bigger cinnamon roll", which I was told why they do not give you 4 pieces like it says on the menu, you can also buy those for less than a $1 else where. So they tried to charge me $6.99 for $1.00 worth of food because it was NOT battered and NOT cooked but sliced and placed in a box... I refused to take the food or pay that outrageous price. I can already tell this place will be closing soon as I was told "We are sorry there is a new owner". Anyone who knows business knows that if you rip off your customers they will NOT come back. My whole family will NEVER be returning again! read more

Came here with my mom, we both ordered coffee which was very sub par. When the waitress brought our food she mentioned they messed my mom's omelette up. (It was not the right omelette). After 10 minutes of trying to get someone's attention the waitress finally came to ask how we were doing. We told her the omelette was wrong and she took it to get it fixed. It came back wrong still. The waitress took it back a second time to get it fixed. When she came back with a new one it wasn't cooked all the way. I had a gyro omelette, hash browns and corned beef hash. The food is awesome but the customer service if you order door dash appalling. Three straight times I ordered the exact same and it came with all sorts of stuff not listed in the menu. I order this same meal three times a week some weeks. Their answer to messing up my order to the point it was inedible- full of onions once, cheese stuffed jalapen, or green peppers.... none of which belong in a cheese omelette. Archie's is just meh at best. I used to go to Archie's quite a bit a few years back, and I honestly never really was impressed by it. Cheap, alright food. However, they recently hiked up their prices to around $10 to $15 for entrees - which, I'm okay with... except that the quality of the food hasn't really gone up to those prices. I've been here a handful of times (dating back to when it was know as 'Archie's') and while I have never had a bad meal here, I don't think I can say that I've had a good meal here either. It's not the Coney Island you grew up with... Average Service, waitress was professional, friendly and attentive, but lacked in basic knowledge of "up charges" Soda - $2.29 each AYCE Fish & Chips does not include Fries as it did when the Restaurant was called Archie's. Curly Fries = awesome, however there is an upcharge not explained which shows up on your bill at the end. Side choice of Cottage Cheese and Apple Sauce delivered in a plastic 3.5oz Togo cup. First order of 3 pieces of fish arrived hot. 2 edible, 3rd was a brick. Refill of 2pcs arrived golden, light in color. 1st pc was raw, needed about 3 to 4 mins longer in the fryer. 2nd piece was just about right. 3 out of 5pcs of fish able to be consumed. Over heard 3 other tables complain of over cooked fish. No manager table visit. However, did notice one manager making the table touches, while another sharped dressed authority figure hovered near the kitchen and service area. The remodel is bright and open but list the traditional Coney Island feel that is famous in the area. Patio area open, flies every where. Moved inside. Patio door left open during our stay. After living in Davison for 34 years I have never been a fan of Archies until recently. The food AND service has improved greatly.

You can by a Bloody Mary cheaper than you can buy a glass of tomato juice at Archies. Reality has taken a step backwards.

This restaurant is a decent place to go to for a late night dinner. I got the cod fish dinner, cajun style. I got the chili that came with it and it was pretty good. The cajun seasoning was kind of light so I added some salt and pepper, which developed more flavor. It was cooked just right, not overcooked or under cooked. The mash potato with gravy was pretty good as well. Not bad overall for a first time experience. Will probably go there again. read more

I have always loved the food at Archies. I was there the other day with my family and half-way through our meal, a busboy started mopping the floor. Normally no big deal, then the overpowering cleaning solution filled the air. The mop bucket he was using was right next to my seat. The waitress came and asked how everything was, I told her "I can't finish my food, all I taste is that cleaner he is using" she asked if I wanted a box. She brought boxes and apologized and asked if we wanted dessert! Are you kidding! I cant eat anything with that smell. The bill came and she apologized again. Now I'm getting real mad cuz he is still mopping and the smell is getting stronger and stronger. I finally asked to see a manager, I should have been able to enjoy my meal there, so here comes the "manager", who looks like he just graduated highschool. He asked how things were and when I explained to him I could only eat half my meal because of the smell he offered to take my name and he woukd take care of me "next time"! NEXT TIME, NEXT TIME!!! I'm here now with a problem now. He very rudely asked me what I wanted. Well, the problem should be taken care of now! He snatched my bill from the table and went to the register. I only expected a discount....so my husband went to pay and the entire bill was voided! I have worked in the food industry for 10+ yrs, you always try to make your customer happy NOW, not next time, there might not be a next time if they're not happy now. This place has definitely made a change for the better! Updated menu with new food to try. Loved the new deli switzel sandwich along with the pretzel sticks and cheese. They are definitely cleaning house when it comes to staff. I was greeted with a friendly host and had exceptional service. This is not the same archies i went to last year. I had recently eaten there. I ordered a gyro sandwich and a side of onion rings. The person I was dining with ordered a Greek salad. My comment was that the beets were dry and the olives were too salty. We ordered the pita and hummus appetizer. The person I was dining with had most of the hummus. The service was pretty bad. The lady never refilled my drink until she gave us our check. She got short with my table after one of us wanted to change his appetizer. The nachos we got had everything piled to one side and the chips were all broken. When we asked for more chips they charged us for more. Even Applebee's gives free chips. The omelette I ordered was simply veggies thrown into eggs and flipped. It was a omelette I would expect from a child learning to cook to make. The soup I ordered was basically licking a chicken & rice soup I ordered was a salt brick, my dog wouldn't even eat the left overs. Awful... By far the worst breakfast I've ever had, when your farmers omelette is thinner then the pancakes on the kids menu & the "double side of hash browns " wasn't even 6 bites!? Beyond disappointing & disgusted I paid for it. We go out to eat for breakfast every Sunday & will never return to this joke of a place to eat. I waited 5 minutes just to pay my bill due to cashier wanting to talk about the cooks weekend in the wait line knowing I was waiting to pay. I have lived in Davison for over 25 years and Archie's has been the go-to food spot for every occasion. After a Cardinals football game, a middle of the night hot chocolate and pie craving, Sunday morning breakfast, and just because. Archie's was the constant. Unfortunately, something has gone terribly wrong in the last few years. After traveling around the country for a while I was excited to return and, of course, enjoy the familiar food and atmosphere of my favorite hometown diner. It was delicious. Six weeks later I need my potato pancake fix. Although, they seem to have removed them from the menu(they are back now). I'm disappointed but the menu is pretty huge so I order breakfast. The potatoes were undercooked, the omelet was greassier than I would have liked but I shrugged it off and assumed they had a new cook. The following week I place a late night carry out order. Simple, stack of pancakes and a side of crispy bacon. I get my meal home and the pancakes are burnt. Fluffy perfect side up, black bitter side down. They clearly knew they were being sketchy. I was annoyed, so I called to complain. They like to give you the "next time we will blah blah blah" answer. It took a few months before I went back but I did go back. A family dinner this time. My daughter had chicken strips and fries, the fella had a burger and fries, and I had nacho tots (nachos minus chips plus tater tots). Well, the tater tots tasted dirty. I didn't know how to explain it but they tasted off this time. I told the waitress and she came back from the kitchen with a message from the cook, "Ask her if she's pregnant." WTF?!? Your food tastes like dirty feet but ask a female customer if she's knocked up because that's not rude and sexist at all. I did not go back again for a few more months. At the request of my daughter, we returned as patrons again. I ordered the lumberjack stack, she had fish and chips. Halfway through my food I notice a hair embedded in one of the many layers of gluttonous glory. I call the waitress over, they comp my plate but the meal is ruined. I should mention, I rarely see any of the same waitstaff twice anymore. That's a huge indicator for me that, not only has the quality control in the kitchen gone down, but the management in general must suck. We visited a few more times without a major incident but the food quality is questionable anymore. The staff is very young and often slow or seemingly disinterested in friendly service which brings me to our most recent visit. It's the last week of summer vacation so around 9:30 the kid and I decide to run to Archie's for a late night snack. Not much else in Davison is open after 10pm that is sans booze. We walked in, saw one table of patrons, waited about 2 minutes and saw no server to seat us, so to occupy our time we turned our attention to the bank of quarter machines. About $2 of quarters in, two teenage girls walk in and are magically sat right away by the young waiter who I didn't even see until that moment. I make eye contact with him but he fails to acknowledge my presence. I make eye contact again while he brings them their drinks and he says hi. A woman walks in behind me and walks straight to the counter. Instead of seating us he rings up her carry out order. Wait, what? We have been standing here long enough for him to pass us over twice. I am visibly annoyed. He asks if we have a carry out order. I say, "We are waiting to be seated." as I point to the sign. With full snark he says, "Why don't you just sit down then." We left. Immediately. I couldn't even get to the part where I complained about our, more than likely, messed up food because the staff is that bad. Long story short, if you like being treated like crap by teenagers while you pay too much for less than mediocre food this is the place for you! read more

Meh...it was literally OK. I didn't really care for the atmosphere and the salad I got was not really anything special. The Chicken Finger's Salad (Small) came jam packed in a small bowl. Too small for me to put dressing on the salad and mix it up. I had to dump it on the plate that came underneath it just to put the darn dressing on it. Plain old iceberg but I did like the egg that came with it. Eggs in a salad always make my day and they did have the "good" ranch. I won't be back here anytime soon. read more
