Country Skillet with Biscuit
Rose S.

I have driven by this place for years and just never really knew what they had here. I've heard good things but I usually ended up at the place across the street. Walking in, I was surprised at how cute the inside is. It's newly renovated and it's contemporary farmhouse. I loved the decor and ambiance. It was also busy to for a Tuesday morning at 9:30. My friend invited me to breakfast and she loves this place. I decided to go with the Country Skillet with a biscuit instead of toast. I also took her potatoes since she didn't want them. Double potatoes! Also, I had coffee and I want to say this is one of the smoothest cups of coffee I've had in a long time. Not sure what brand they use but it was REALLY good. We also asked for vanilla creamer which was great to have. The skillet was layered with hash browns, crumbled sausage, scrambled eggs and topped with gravy and served in a small cast iron skillet. It was so delicious. They're homemade biscuits were good and I lathered it in butter and strawberry jam. I could only eat half of it, brought it home and my husband at the other half. He enjoyed it and he usually doesn't care for skillets. Overall great food and ambiance and great price. I heard the lunch/dinner menu was good too so I'll definitely be back to give it a try!

Grilled chicken fajita wrap.

I was in town for the weekend and decided to make a quick lunch stop with a friend. I ordered the Grilled chicken fajita wrap and it was juicy and packed with flavor in each bite. The chicken was cooked right and was nice and juicy as opposed to being dry and over cooked. The service was decent. Ambiance is what you'd expect from a little diner. Nothing really overwhelming or memorable about the experience but the food was good.

Haven't been out to full breakfast in awhile so on Sunday chose Brian's. Have been there in the past and don't recall ever having a bad experience with food there and wasn't disappointed this day either! I got the country skillet because I was pretty hungry and it was delicious! I ended up eating my whole breakfast and was full. No complaints from my daughter either on her pancakes and eggs. It was pretty crowded so that should tell you how busy they are on a Sunday, We actually got right in, but as we were leaving, there was a line. Everyone was jolly-employees and customers, so that was a good experience! I will add in case your trying to still avoid crowds because of Covid-there is no requirement for masks or distancing. The checkout desk still has plexi glass up, but I didn't see employees wearing masks either. I do want to thank our waitress for being patient when we sat down-my daughter received an important phone call right after we got our menus and she had no issue trying to rush us and remained a great waitress-friendly and accommodating. The coffee was actually really good also. They had good creamer so maybe that's why...I'm usually not a fan of restaurant coffee. I will be back here for another great breakfast!

Hobo skillet with poached eggs

It's reopened! Went here today with my family (group of 5) for Sunday lunch after church. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated and then waited on, but that's normal for a busy Sunday afternoon, and our waitress was kind and got everything right. The new decor reminded us strongly of Joanna Gaines' decorating style, so OBVIOUSLY I had to order the Texas toast with my hobo skillet. It was tasty. My dad ordered the breaded shrimp special and liked it. My mom and sister also ordered breakfast skillets and were likewise satisfied. My grandma ordered sweet and sour chicken, which she liked, although she wasn't super impressed with her broccoli cheese soup. This is the type of place you can go if you want greasy comfort food, a place to take your kids, or just someplace where you can wear sweatpants and sit cross-legged in the restaurant booth without anyone looking askance. Probably not the best food you'll ever have, but certainly enjoyable and not fussy. And sometimes, that's exactly what you need.
