Yes, the office at one time was extremely rundown and pretty embarrassing. They have since overhold it to a state of the art modern facility that is immaculate, they have charging stations over every chair in the waiting room not that it matters there's a very nice round chandelier. The front desk staff could not be nicer Dr. James Pezzollo extracted two of my teeth and put the implants screws in. Never had a problem with excess bleeding or pain. He constantly asks you during the procedure if you are doing OK. They will give you a follow up appointment to give you the greenlight for the next step. Some people have made negative comments concerning billing . While I have experienced the same - instead of dealing with the person that answers the phone - call your insurance company and have them do it. It'll make things much easier. Cause both times when I called and this woman picked up the phone. I said oh my God - luckily she transferred me - she will cut you off and say just tell me which office you're calling about. I warned my patient advocate at Blue Cross Blue Shield before he called. He said he didn't give her a chance to go into her spiel.

Unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. We were quoted a "worst-case scenario" out-of-pocket cost of $600, both by phone and again at check-in. At checkout, the bill was suddenly nearly $900--with no prior explanation. This felt deceptive, unprofessional, and deliberately misleading. After my son had all four impacted wisdom teeth removed, no pain medication was prescribed or even discussed--just "take Tylenol." I had to ask for ice packs myself, which should be standard. Most offices provide a jaw wrap ice pack, especially since they emphasize how important icing is on day one. Discharge instructions were rushed and vague. As a parent, I left the office feeling misled, frustrated, and concerned about my son's recovery. As a healthcare provider, I left shocked. I would not recommend this office to anyone seeking transparent billing, proper post-op care, or compassionate communication. I'll be informing our referring dentist of the experience, and I plan to report the billing issue to both the insurance company and Northwell, given that this office is in-network with Northwell Direct Cigna Dental.

She proceeded to responded in a very rude and confrontational manner threatening to charge me a $75 penalty charge if I left. The threat of this charge is unethical, since I was present for my appointment as scheduled. When I protested the threat of the charge, she continued to be very confrontational asking me why I shouldn't be charged a fee if I chose to leave. She did this in front of another patient and the other receptionist who was sitting next to her. As a professional working at a front desk, she represents the office. In addition, a simple reassurance that I would be seen shortly would have resolved the situation. She does not represent the rest of the staff, but she is part of the staff.

After my daughter completed her new patient forms and handed them her photo ID, I asked about an insurance form and was told they don't take insurance. However on the phone when I made the appt for my daughter, I was asked what insurance she has and was told they don't take one of the insurance. Due to COVID-19, I understand that there is social distancing, limited spacing between patients, etc in medical offices; the person could have told me in a professional manner that I should wait outside of the office as many patients were coming in for their appts. Instead, I was told in a pejorative term that I have to leave the office: my daughter is over 18 and don't need me here; and, that the room is for patients only. I reminded her about the insurance and she said it was "free". To make a long story short, before my daughter was discharge out of the office, she was charged $575.00 for a (baby) tooth extraction and anesthesia!!! If the person on the phone said they don't take insurance in the first place, I would not have made the appt for her! [Was it just an office formality to ask what insurance the caller has just to reel them in to make an appt??!] The spelling of my daughter's name did not come close to the spelling that appears on her photo ID card that she presented to the person. [Do they even bother to look at a person's ID at all, especially to ensure the patient's name is correctly spelled on their dental record?!] Before the procedure began, my daughter said she gave the dentist her orthodontist referral slip & picture xray. He barely looked at the xray. I had to ask my daughter did the dentist remove the right tooth? This office is run like a racket from the start! Since it was a referral from a reputable Orthodontist, I assumed this dental office was just as reputable. We definately won't be recommending this office to friends & family!

After a few she came back I said #32 and #1 then she's like "well is that what it says on the referral" I said I have a referral for #32 which I needed taken out asap and one for all four wisdom teeth which would need to be extracted eventually. She then became even more irate and all angry said "well call me back when you have all four teeth numbers (which I did have) and she just hung up on me. Wtf??? You're telling me you work at a dental office and don't know the universal teeth number for right side / all the wisdom teeth? And on top of that can't even wait 20 seconds for me to find it because you're pmsing or just a regular biatch? If this office wants business stop hiring these crazies with no EQ. I appreciated that her demeanor seemed very sincere (not the forced friendliness some try to put on). The X-ray technician was very courteous and gentle, explaining each step she took. Dr. Meneshian, who I met for the first time, was very friendly and professional. I appreciated that he spoke very thoroughly and patiently and not in a sterile, but in a very human manner. I knew immediately I wanted to be in his care for my first invasive dental procedure. On the day of my actual wisdom tooth removal, it went very smoothly. Every staff member was very courteous and put me at ease. The atmosphere was very calm, had good energy, and everything was handled in a timely manner. The surgeon's assistant was very pleasant and also guided me through every movement. Dr. Meneshian was just as pleasant as during the consultation.
