Brad was very professional during the entire experience and communicated well through the process. His crew often worked long hours and were punctual. My wife and I really appreciated Brad's knowledge and creative thinking and would give great ideas when we were stuck on how to remodel certain areas of the house. I personally struggled with envisioning how each room would look after the remodel and Brad did excellent at walking me through each process of the rooms to help me develop a clearer picture of the end product. I plan on using Western Idaho Builders (Brad) on my next big project of remodeling our personal home as well. Services performed: Installed new doors, moved doors around, moved walls around, built a landing with stairs leading to the back yard, painted inside / outside, removed cement stairs and blended wall with house, framed garage door, installed new lights. I had new flooring put in my a different company but Brad did the floor prep and did a great job for the floor installers. The project was completed just over a week past the projected completion time but I primarily put the blame on the painters for this. One slight negative to the project was the painters were not very punctual, had to come back multiple times, and I am not sure the quality of paint was what I paid for due to how easily it is to scratch the paint with my fingernail on accident. The painting itself was a good job and looked very professional. Painters were subcontracted by Brad and not completed by his crew.

Householder Construction finished the project before schedule and came in UNDER budget. The best attributes about Duane Householder are his communication skills and integrity. We communicated everyday about the project and he kept us informed of progress, changes, costs, and the schedule at all times. He was incredibly honest and was flexible to our needs. He staffs nice, clean, and respectable employees who were mindful about our children and desire to remain in the home during construction. I highly recommend Duane Householder for any project because he did amazing on this large addition of our family home. We will definitely be having him back for other projects like our deck, additional existing home remodel....and really anything. Duane can fix, build, and orchestrate any home project. 5+++ stars.

Dave built an incredible pergola and fence in my driveway. The project was tricky because the…read moredriveway isn't square, but a little wedge shaped. Aside from other good reviews and pergola jobs on Next-door, I picked him because his proposal included detailed plan and profile drafting markups of how he envisioned the pergola. He gave me three options considering different wood choices (cedar, douglas fir, etc.). He showed up when he said he would and worked continuously through the project. He continually communicated with me on schedule and project decisions. To call his attention to detail impeccable hardly seems to do it justice. Every surface was beautifully sanded and stained. He used black steel hardware everywhere he could. Where a few of the bolts couldn't be purchased in black, he painted them black so that everything would match. I didn't even know they made black silicone, which he used to seal any seems where wood butted against other wood. He custom crafted the corner supports. Instead of bolting beams onto the driveway, he cut the concrete, dug a deep hole, and poured concrete around a massive steel footing for each post. He custom built the gate around the style of fence I'd asked for so that it blends in perfectly. He carefully preserved the grapes and wisteria that were growing on the old fence so that when he was finished I was able to move it all onto the new structure. While building, Dave covered the wood with a tarp even when there was no chance of rain, which saved me a lot of money when my sprinklers threw a fit and doused the driveway he was working on in the middle of the night. His labor cost was extremely reasonable, and he's a fantastic person.

Mike Scott was the fantastic individual we first came into contact with, and he was able to answer any questions we had. He stayed in touch throughout the whole process. Jay Ross and Craig Hammett did a great job once the building began. I think they were all just as excited as we were! We looked at a few other builders, but you couldn't move walls or change any of the actual model you were wanting built. All of the subcontractors they work with did a great job as well. We have our dream home now, and were pleasantly surprised on how painless building a home was. We were a little skeptical as I've heard many stories from others how the process can be such a nightmare. This was a fun and exciting experience and I wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone to use Hammett Homes as their builder.

I've team managed the construction of multiple commercial buildings in nations around the world from 10,000 up to 2,000,000 ft.² housing, small business sites and large multi-billion-dollar facilities. This included manufacturing facilities, residences, class 10,000 clean rooms, multi-story offices, and full 20 building corporate campuses. I would feel very comfortable having Adam and his team build any of those structures. The facility he built for us was approximately 2300 ft.² two story with a shop for metal, wood, clay, and glass construction including a full-service kitchen, bathroom, water service area, offices and facilities for a 38-foot RV home if we chose to park one inside. I designed for EV's alongside forged metal working, glassblowing, woodcraft and plastics capability. We use the empty vehicle bays for classroom instruction, in fact we teach beekeeping on site. I provide all this information because of the myriads of details that Adam needed to manage in building this facility for our use. His work was timely, professional, of the highest quality, and he kept me fully informed at each step of the way, so I could have confidence in the agreed upon completion dates and performance of his team. During that same time, he managed at least six other significant projects across Idaho from Twin Falls, Pocatello, Sun Valley and multiple jobs in Ada, Boise, Gem and Canyon Counties that I'm aware of, while devoting the appropriate amount of time to in person, on site direct and indirect supervision of his team. Working with Adam I could see he wasn't just buying services and the supplies for construction, but he shopped to obtain good pricing and timely delivery. We finished on time and within budget. A key factor in project management is assuring timely arrival of goods and services necessary, in the proper order, so that one subcontractor is not waiting for another subcontractor to finish their part of the puzzle while you're paying for both of them simultaneously! At a time when subcontractors are often challenging to find, work with, schedule, and assure performance, Adam choreographed all the different pieces so that our facility was built in a timely fashion, yielding a very high-quality product. He's got at least a couple of pictures of our interior roof design as part of this portfolio on Yelp. Our facility had to match existing buildings that had been constructed over the past 35 years and much of it was custom work. Adam used the best quality products within our budget and installed commercially available prefabricated components for consistency wherever possible. My neighbors, building inspectors, other guests and subs, who came to our location while the building was under construction, consistently remarked about how clean, orderly, and well managed the site was. In fact, several people have used at Adam's company for their projects too. We were lucky as the house that is part of this facility that we created is close to 30 years old and many of the design items are no longer made. This meant that to match the existing structure, Adam's team had to be able to custom cut finials, bracing, and match design so the building was consistent with the architecture composed & implemented some 30 years ago. We re-purposed doors, windows, framing, up-cycling components which saved me money and helped to visually tie the structural appearances together. I've also used Adam on smaller jobs too with consistent success. Adam has my strongest endorsement and recommendation. Adam is a good Christian man, truthful and scrupulous in recordkeeping so you may rely on facts and figures he provides. To date he has probably completed ten distinct projects for me, and I look forward to working with him on future assignments.
