Came down to Saint calixste for a weekend - colleagues picked this Italian resto. The outdoor look had a rustic feel. Once inside - the restaurant was warm and had a traditional family dining style to it. There was many people, seemed like a popular spot with the locals nearby.
The menu was simple with an antipasti, pizza, steak and pasta list. The wines are unique Italian imports that you won't find at a SAQ. For appetizers, we tried the arancini - breaded Rissoto cheese balls sprinkled with a hint of fresh Parmesan- so flavourful - came in a dish of 3. Calamari was average. For my main course - I had a seafood pasta with black tiger shrimp, mussels, calamari -pretty feeling - seafood was cooked and seasoned well.
I loved the fact the owner himself came by to check on our table- made it so much more personable. This location has been around for 1 1/2 years. Cute place worth checking out if you are in the area! read more
