This restaurant is across the street from Sainte-Chapelle and we happened upon it for lunch before we headed into the chapel. We got seated right away and the waitstaff were all very polite and accommodating. The interior is very French and very pleasing to the eye. I ordered the croque monsieur and a Saint-Germain Spritz. I wouldn't say the sandwich was amazing, but it hit the spot for something filling, warm, and salty. The standout was the Berthillon ice cream dessert in a salted caramel flavor. I appreciated that they had a kid's menu as well. We were also able to come back in after our visit to Sainte-Chapelle and use their restroom, which was also much appreciated. Great place to grab a bite and do some people watching too as this street is pretty busy.

Was looking for a lunch spot close to Saint Chapelle & Notre Dame and I'm happy I stopped at Les Deux Palais. The restaurant was super cute but crowded & busy. They got me a table immediately and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Had to start with a cappuccino. For lunch I ordered Cuisse de Poulet Fermier au miel et soja, frites maison which is Free-range Chicken leg in honey and soy sauce, home-made french fries. For dessert I ordered the homemade creme brûlée. I loved all the food.

We visited this very hopping place after going to Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle. Despite the crowd, we were seated and served pretty quickly. We ate outside and enjoyed people watching, even engaging with the people next to us. The food was good, we got the usual carbs we'd been indulging in during our visit. Overall, we appreciated the experience.

Day 2 in Paris and after standing in line for about an hour and a half hoping to get into Sainte Chapelle (we didn't) we we left defeated and hunger and came across the street to Les Deux Paris for lunch. We walked in and it seemed pretty packed but were able to get a table. I will say for sure know how to use the most of their space because they really pack you in. Since I had been standing for quite a bit I had to get a beer and Ashley and Champagne. We going over the menu I had to get my classic i always got in Paris when I was here 16 years ago. That classic being a Croque Monsieur which I probably had at least once a day then but now that I'm an adult I went with the Croque Madame. All that changes is the adding for a sunny side egg on top. Our food came out pretty quickly and my Croque Madame looked good but unfortunately it just doesn't hit like I it did when I was younger. I was still good but I feel like they only put one piece of thin sliced ham on it am I would just expect for more for the price. I also don't think it had the Béchamel on it which really enhances the flavor and richness of the sandwich. I will say fries were good and crispy which was nice. I will say still hits is the Dijon Mustard they have in Paris. It has amazing spice and really helped out with the Croque Madame. I will say it will always be a classic that you have to try when in Paris but maybe don't get on in a touristy area.

We popped in and grabbed a couple of sandwiches to go. They were "fine" but we were disappointed when we kept walking down the street and saw much better options available. If you do stop here my wife really liked her chicken salad sandwich.

After waiting in line for a while at Saint Chapelle across the street we stopped in for a bite to eat. I am not sure how the staff maneuvers through the restaurant so seamlessly because the tables are really packed in to the space but this allows for a very short wait time on a table which was nice. I ordered a special of a pasta dish with ham. I am pretty sure the French could put their ham on anything and I would love it! I also ordered a glass of champagne that was very nice. When I ate my lunch originally thought this was a five star meal however after eating at more restaurants in Paris I realized it was good not great. The lunch was a bit cold and it didn't have a ton of rich flavors like most of the Parisian food I had.

On the sidewalk/ low car traffic

We just came out of the last tour group from SainteChapelle (stain glass) the ropes closed off exactly at 6 pm. Right across the street was this Bistro with green striped awnings . 8 of us sat 2 per cafe table in a row . We told our waiter that we had tickets for the Eiffel Tower at 9:30 pm . He assured us he would watch out time . He went away and came back with a bucket of ice for our drinks and all laughed so has that he knew were from the USA. He just kept showing up and taking care and f us and had so many laughs. Sitting on the outside for the cafe experience was as so picturesque. The onion soup and the entrecôte were delicious. My cocktail with Grey Goose Vodka was a bargain !!! All the tables of guest diners were chatting with each other about our day . What a welcoming experience!!!

This charming Paris cafe is within walking distance to Notre Dame Cathedral and Sainte-Chapelle. Wonderful menu and service. We dined on the patio and took in the beauty and culture of Paris, France.. We are planning a return trip!

I tried my first escargot here and it was amazing. I came to France as a tourist and since then I tell my friends and family how delicious escargot is! My boyfriend and I enjoyed our dinner here and we had great service. There is a restroom downstairs you can use as well. There is so much to explore in Paris and this place is in a great location to do that.

Loving Paris food We were early for our visit to Sainte-Chapelle because we didn't stop anyplace for breakfast. Les Duex Palais became our unplanned breakfast place when we spotted it right across the street. We were concerned it would take too long but in the end it didn't, service did good. I was the one who got a big plate of food, their Croque Madame. My granddaughter helped by eating most of the fries while I dove into the small salad and the large sandwich. It was great, and one of the meals I was hoping to have during our week visiting Paris. Our server was quite efficient and with limited English still handled additional food requests well after we had already placed our initial order. When we were ready to leave, he was right there to do the tap and pay thing, which is very convenient. We liked sitting outside just taking in the sidewalk dining experience on our first morning in Paris, loving it.

The restaurant itself isn't small, but really not big, so it's definitely worthwhile to make a reservation at least a week or so on advance, otherwise you're pushing your luck. Everyone ordered steak frites (2 rump steak, 2 flank) and no one was disappointed. Steaks were cooked to order, although medium here in France is more like medium rare in the States, just be advised. The restaurant itself is lively and fun with lots of chatting, laughing and good times being shared. Desserts were Crème Brûlée and Apple Crumble, neither of which were disappointing. We definitely enjoyed our dinner and would likely return again. This time with a reservation made well in advance.

First, the cheese failed to emit the baked, melted gruyere cheese, there is no aroma at all. I don't think they used gruyere cheese. May be mozzarella cheese. The worst part was the bread in the soup. It tasted stale which ruin the flavor of the soup. I had to finish without the bread. Escargot - Another disappointment. What made escargots special was the garlic butter and herb. Here, there were the herbs, no garlic, and French is famous with their butter but I taste oil but not buttery. Other places I actually get excited dipping the bread into the garlic butter but not here. Pan seared Foie gras - The quality of Foie Gras was definitely there. It's not as well seared as I hope but they managed to cook it through without overcooking it. The size of Foie Gras is kind of scary, it's like a small piece of rib eye steak. With just the onion soup and Foie Gras, I could barely swallow anything. Generous portion.
