I went to Le's nail & spa with high expectation. I have heard many good things about it, and with its convenient location i figured why not give it a try. First I walked in and none greeted me. There was no one at the front desk and I was standing there helplessly. It was so rude. Then someone finally told me to sign in after I had been standing there for around 5 minutes. I proceeded to pick out a color. The manicure was OK. The guy missed so many cuticles. He got paint on the the cuticles he missed and I could of honestly done a better job. The chairs there were so big you could not walk behind them to get out. With that being said they had 4 drying stations but only 2 could be in use. While i was drying my nails I had to get up so someone else could dry theres. My nail got messed up and the guy tried to fix it. When i say tried i mean he put more paint on where it had messed up and it looked so bad. Then usually a manicure is about 15 or less in memphis. This was $18 which was high. The service sucked and so did my manicure. read more

I thought I found the most perfect salon. I've been here quite a few times, at least 8 months. I went in on 5/29/20 for a full set and a pedicure for 110.00. Perfect! no problem , my nails were beautiful! Two days later my NEW FULL SET began to lift. Of course I'm going back for a fix because I literally JUST got my nails done. On Sunday 5/31/20 I called the salon, no answer, and I visited to get my nails fixed but they were closed (which is a new change). I thought to myself, fine, I'll come first thing in the morning. Today 6/1/20 , I arrived at 9:15am. I was first , the older guy came in, began to work on my nails , they were all crooked , I politely said I will wait on someone else to arrive . He said ok! The owner who did my full set on 5/29 arrived about 30 min after open. She first said "you broke your nails" I said no, they're lifting with a new full set like they're pop offs! I need them fixed! She began to work on my nails, mind you there are about 6 more customers being serviced, as well as customers leaving after I arrived first. She says "your nails wet" ....fair enough... THREE NAILS WET... and everyone knows it takes literally a few minutes for acrylic to dry . I can understand if I BROKE nail or chipped a nail I will even understand if I'm lifting on a fill in. No, a fresh full set, TWO days prior . So am I being put on the back burner because I'm getting a fix for your poor job? Is it because I'm not paying to get a fix for something on your behalf? Is that why I have to sit and watch everyone get serviced, after arriving 15 min before everyone. Customers kept saying that's so wrong! She begins working on a pedicure, damn near COMPLETES The pedicure. IM FURIOUS!!! I politely asked "hey , I'm dry, how much longer , I arrived at 9:15" she responds in whatever language they speak. Totally ignores me! I then decide, with everything going on in the world today... Do I act a fool? Or do I simply leave and never return? I left at 10:35am with 3 nails all out of wack and terrible ..... I am so upset by her actions, my feelings were hurt, i was FURIOUS. For your fault on a poor nail job , lack of respect to customers. I will never visit this place again. TERRIBLE experience . I feel crazy for not standing up for myself in a sense ... but I am happy I peacefully left. This nail shop must do better, I have supported you guys and this is a place I spend my hard earned coin.... RESPECT ME when you are in the wrong. read more

2 days later and the polish looks terrible and is easily damaged. CHEAP PRODUCTS. I paid $20 EXTRA for gel when I pay $10 for gel in other salons I go (with better quality). I came in for a repair & fill in & the manager tried just filling the chip in my nail. He got mad when I wanted a new tip and he charged me $71 in all for full set and pedicure out of spite even though pedicures are $30 meaning 41 came from a FILL IN with gel. That being said, Le's was super clean, staff was very friendly and the mani/pedi's top notch. I went in at 1:30pm on a Sunday and was seated right away. The salon started getting busy around 2:30pm and a few patrons had a short wait, which I took as a good sign. It was obvious there were "regulars"as the owners new referred to customers by name. The service is decent but the nail techs are a little rough when it comes to pedicures. I've come to this location about 5 times in the past year. The complimentary wine should help me give a better review but I have a hit and miss experiences. The techs are nice and will talk to you. Shellac manicures could be much better but the real reason I won't comeback to the location is while my nail tech was paint my nails, another tech come over and picked up the new nail file that was used on my nails to use on another customers feet. I feel that a brand new file should be used on all customers and that just made me feel very uncomfortable. read more

BEWARE! First time going and it was the worst experience ever. I left in tears tonight. I waited well over an hour to get a full set and pedicure. I was put in pedicure chair, and everyone around me offered a drink but me. I was actually thirsty after waiting so long. She started a pedicure and then left me for another 30 minutes to sit my feet in the wax. I asked to have the wax stuff taken off my feet so I could leave. Nobody asked me what was wrong. I didn't even get my nails on my hands done or my toe nails polished after being there 2 hours and 20 minutes. I was charged $30 for nothing basically. I am always a great tipper, but for the first time in over 15 years of getting my nails done other places I did not leave a tip. The massage chair was loud and squeaky so I turned it off so I wasn't able to get a chair massage. Massage from tech was lacking and I picked the deluxe pedicure. To top it off the lady right beside me was talking loud on phone about eating edibles and going to a catholic wedding where people were drunk in church. read more

Great pedicure for $30. It included all the usual foot scrub, lotion, etc , but Le's also included a hot stone massage and hot towel compress, which was nice. Let me start off by saying that I think this salon has the potential to be a favorite of mine, just not on "peak days" (days around holidays, weekends, etc.) I went in the day before Valentine's Day for a pedicure and a full set. I knew it would be packed so I was there as soon as they opened. I was put in the spa chair as soon as I had picked out my polish. And this is where it went downhill. The water was lukewarm/cold in like 5 minutes. I usually like when they let my feet soak for a few minutes before they start working on them, but she went to work immediately. And another young lady began gluing the tips on my fingernails. Now I've seen the techs do regular manis while you get a pedi. But never acrylic nails. And from my experience today, I see why it should never be done. Between the massage chair moving me around and the lady moving my legs, I'm pretty sure the young lady on my hands was having a hard time. I know I was! When she was done applying polish, I could see where there was acrylic flaking all around my cuticles and down my fingers. The tips were GLUED TO MY FINGERS. There was no cuticle oil applied. It was just terrible. The set itself was cute, and I can tell the young lady did a good acrylic application. But I think in their efforts to get me in and out, the work suffered GREATLY. The lady on my toes didn't speak English but was very nice. The lady on my hands had to translate for her a couple of times because I couldn't understand her. However when she was clipping the skin around my toes, she did knick me a couple of times and it really stung when she applied the alcohol. But I don't really have any complaints about the pedicure, it was quite nice actually. The tech was very thorough with the massage. It helped to relax me a little during this uncomfortable situation. The young lady on my hands was very sweet, but again I wasn't too impressed with the rush job. Then after I had been at the drying station for about 15 minutes, a man (the manager I'm assuming) walks up and says "That'll be $58 dollars ma'am." I just thought to myself "I wasn't gonna leave without paying!" I honestly thought it was rude. So I gave him the money, told him he could keep the change and I left. Being the day before Valentine's Day, I didn't expect an A+ experience due to the volume of customers. But I certainly wasn't expecting to leave feeling like I was on the edge of an anxiety attack. I may give this shop a second chance in the future. But it will definitely have to be on a slow day. read more

I was lost cause I was new to the town.. I called 6 mins before my appt. at 9:30 to ask for direction and where they are by.. No answer for 15 mins... The direction on map (on iPhone) shows differ location than google map. I was late 12 mins to my appt. when I arrived, no greeting... I was ready to leave but finally someone came into the shop and greeted me. FINALLY! This place was not clean at all. Towels were piled onto one of pedi chairs and boxes everywhere. I don't think it was presentable. I've been to many nail places and this place isn't "spa" quality. Although, my nail tech was good. She was sweet and super fast. Great massages with mani and pedi. Reasonably priced. Careful work. Receptionist was Scott I think.....he was great and Taila (sp?) Did my mani and pedi. She was very thoughtful and cared what I wanted. Very relaxing. Beautiful decor and so many polishes you cant even choose. Very clean and all relevant equipment was in autoclave packaging. This is a great nail salon. I've been going here for about a year now, and the experience is always good. Recently I went and got the deluxe pedicure, including a parafin wax treatment. If you've never had one, I recommend you try it--not it's not super hot...just warm. And it leaves your feet/calves feeling smooth. The massage chairs are big and comfortable. The staff is friendly. They'll offer you a drink as soon as you sit down. And they have a wide selection of nail colors including Essie and OPI. Most of the time I just walk-in and can get an appointment within 10 minutes. This was my first visit here and I got a pedicure and an overlay. Loved the pedicure, well worth the $30, but the overlay wasn't what I wanted. My nails are boxy and bulky and I asked the nail tech to fix several times, but each time she made very minor adjustments. Overall, staff is ok facility is nice, would go back for pedicure, but not for overlay. They also had a nice variety of colors, but no glitter powder for acrylic. read more

From all of the other reviews I've read about this salon, I had very high hopes that I'd finally found a place in Memphis that could actually give me a nearly perfect French manicure. I had a 3:30 p.m. appointment. I waited for about 20 minutes without any of the staff acknowledging my presence. There were about 5 ladies in front of me, and one lady had been waiting for an hour. I had to leave since I had several things I had to do that day (hence making the appointment) and when I explained this to management, they seemed completely indifferent to losing my business. Also, the prices on their website do not match the actual prices posted in the salon. I will stick with Gould's on the Square from now on! Love love love this place. I was looking for a place to get a quick manicure on a Sunday afternoon. I stopped at one place, and it would've been 3 people in front of me. I decided to look around a little more. I walked in and ask the guy how long it would take, and he immediately sat me down. Le Le did my manicure, and was very sweet and professional. She even threw the nail polish in purse for me to keep afterwards. This place is very clean, and the staff was awesome. I love how they have it decorated. More like a spa environment, rather then your typical nail salon. They have a huge selection of nail polishes. I will definitely be coming here for all of my manis and pedis in the future. The pedicure is beyond any normal one with leg massages that include hot stones and warm towels. Great suggestions on colours and what to do as well.
