I was told Pioneer knew where to drop the car and keys. I was given a 10:00 a.m. appointment for Monday, May 11 and assured an estimate would be performed at that time. On Monday, May 11, I was given the run around. I was able to get an estimate on Tuesday, May 12 and authorized the work, totalling $540 be performed. The labor estimate was only 3 hours and I was told the vehicle would be ready by the close of business. At the agreed upon pickup time, I was told they had to order parts and they would be in in a day or two. Two days latter, I confirmed that parts were in.\ Through May 18, I kept being told to call back. I ultimately had to rent a car and drive to San Diego, as repairs were not performed. I was assured I would be called when the work was completed. I contacted Alturas Tire and Auto Repair from San Diego on May 21 and May 29. I relayed I would be picking up my grandson in Alturas on June 5. I was assured my car would be ready by June 5. On June 5, 2020 I found my vehicle in the weeds behind the shop. No work had been performed. It was blocked in by other vehicles. I was told Rusty was handling the repair and would be in between 2 and 3 p.m. I called shortly before 3 p.m. and was told by a different person that Rusty was home sick. I relayed that I was told he would be in between 2 and 3. I was then told to call back at 4:30 p.m. and maybe Rusty would be there. I was upset and asked what was going on, it had been a month and over 3 1/2 weeks since the parts were in. I confirmed it would only require 3 hours of labor to repair my car. I asked and it was confirmed that I was on a back burner and they would repair it when the got around to it and felt it. I inquired so, are you saying if you get around to it in the next year or so you will repair it - if not it is my problem I was told that's about it. I advised that I would need to pick up the car on Monday and remove it from their shop for repairs. I called back at 4 p.m. and talked to the lady I usually talk to. She told me she had the man answer because she saw it was me calling. She lied and said she heard what he said, and he never said I was on a back burner or it would be repaired when the got around to it. I repeated the actual conversation and she said "well that is not what he meant." He meant we do what we feel like and your not going to control us. I asked why they were treating me the way they had. She said she was not going to talk to me any further, pickup my car if I want to. I inquired about the two tows - while paid by AAA, they came off my account and are valued at over $200 each, leaving me with only 1 tow through October, as well as mistreatment. The lady told me they go through his all the time - with multiple people and nothing would come of it. Apparently they treat multiple people with intentional fraud by promising to perform repairs then not doing so and think they are above the law - as well as any moral or ethical behavior duties to those that rely upon their representations. I was told there is nothig I could do nothing about it. It was also falsely alleged that I had signed a work order with listed no date the repair would be completed. I authorized repairs telephonically. Any omissions from any work order was done maliciously by Alturas Tire and Auto Repair as they treat the consumer in similar fashion as I was treated "multiple" times. Prior to June 5, I was patient and attempted to be flexible - in spite of multiple damages being inflicted do to broken promises - i.e. delayed travel, two tows, rental car to get back to San Diego, private transportation to Susanville to pickup rental as public transportation was closed (COVID-19), etc. Following the June 5, 2020 broken promise I had lost my patients - the Office manager thought I was renting a one way rental to pickup my car and grandson and assured me the vehicle would be ready (instead I drove up in another vehicle - otherwise we would have been stranded because, in spite of a promise to do so, they did not feel like fixing my car yet.

Recently, I needed a front license plate mounted to my car after learning from CHP that CA law requires it to be mounted. I bought my car in NV where it isn't required. There were no brackets or holes for hardware on the car, so I thought Pioneer would be the best choice for the job. Dean ordered the bracket and told me to put the license plate in the passenger window until the part came in, so I wouldn't get pulled over again. Fast forward to this week. After mounting the license plate Pioneer provided a complimentary wash and vacuum for my car. My car is sparkling clean and looks like it had been completely detailed. Shasta after Google…read moreMaps directed us to go up a detour route (Esperanza Road) with rough chip seal gravel. :( We called Black Butte Towing, and our driver, Dave, went above and beyond to help us fix the tire and salvage our backpacking plans. First, after we explained that we had gotten a ride to the McCloud Ranger station, Dave picked us up there without question. On the long and tedious journey back up to our car, his conversation and friendly demeanor helped put us at ease. A true professional, he was attentive and efficient with the tow itself. On the drive back, he made sure our car and our stomachs were looked after; he pulled into the parking lot of his favorite milkshake place to confirm that the vehicle hadn't slid sideways on the journey AND he bought us a sweet treat there, knowing the stressful day we had had. He insisted on paying. What a guy! As it had gotten late in the day, the tire shop to which we wanted to take the car wouldn't admit us (and didn't have a spare in a compatible tire anyways). Dave offered to drop us off at a hotel and remained flexible as we continued to explore our options. The grand finale? Just as our hopes were dimming to get the tire fixed that same day in order to attempt our summit, Dave offered to tow us to the nearest AutoZone, where we could pick up a cheap tire plug kit and try to plug the tire ourselves. That worked!! He patiently taught us how to install a tire plug, spending at least two extra hours after the original tow, all with a cheerful and positive attitude. Because of Dave, we were able to make it back to the Clear Creek trailhead late that same night, car camp, and attempt our summit early the next morning as planned. All in all, we were blown away by the customer service at Black Butte towing, and we could not thank Dave enough for the expert help and human kindness he showed us. 6 star review (if it were possible).

I experienced damage to a wheel hub on my dual axle trailer in Ashland OR. Had a shop there install brakes all around while they were repairing it. Heading back home to the Bay Area, by the time I got to Mt. Shasta another hub was heating up. I spoke to Troy, a mobile mechanic in Weed. He was booked and, lacking other options in the area, I decided to limp down to civilization (Redding) where my odds of finding help would increase. Troy referred me to All Wheel. Four hours and 65 miles later, I limped into their lot, hoping against hope for an appointment sometime in the next week. I spoke to Rizzy, an outstanding gentleman with a heart of gold. Much to my surprise, within a short time he had Brian inspecting all of my axles. As it was late in the day, we decided it would be best to finish in the morning. As others have mentioned, I was graciously offered the option to spend the night, which I gladly accepted. Throughout the process they kept me in the loop as to what they were doing to diagnose and eventually fix the problem. They found two issues that the previous shop was responsible for, and by noon the next day I was heading back home to the Bay Area. I could not have asked for better service.
