Brought my car in today because I had a leaky valve on one of my tires. Was greeted outside as I drove in. It took about an hour. The only negative was that I had to sit and listen to Fox News in the waiting room. That was overshadowed by the fact that they didn't charge me anything for the repair. I have been a long time customer at various Les Schwab stores, but the Lynden location is a disappointment. I had an appointment to get tires switched off during my 1 hour lunch break. After waiting for 45 minutes, they hadn't even taken my car from the parking lot to begin the job. I had to leave to get back to work. The customer service was also not good when I asked about it. I was able to walk in to the Bellingham Les Schwab the very next day and got my tires swapped in just half an hour even without an appointment. Also received the great customer service that I'm used to at Les Schwab. I will not be going back to the Lynden location. read more

I had a really great experience. I had stopped in recently toward the end of the day and was just stopping in to check out prices with no intention of purchasing. I had got to talking with Ryan and he was let me know my options and pricing, which was great, and so I had told him I would wait and come back because I knew I did not want to be the person that came in last minute before closing and get tires put on. But then Ryan had reassured me that there was no problem that they would put tires on. So after his reassurance, I went ahead and had them out on. There were a couple of cars ahead of us and he said it would be about 45 min. So I took a seat and waited. After about 45min the called me up to let me know it was ready. I was fairly impressed. I have been a Les Schwab customer for over 30 years in locations I have lived in and visited throughout the northwest. They have helped me out of jams (flat tires and dead batteries) more times than I can count, and never charged me! This is the only place I buy tires and alignments, etc. (which, since I am a low mileage driver, is not as often as most). I moved here last summer, and found myself in the Lynden store recently at the recommendation of a local body shop (long story). The steering on my late model Nissan was acting severely erratically, and I braced myself for a large bill, as it was unsafe to drive. Devon came through for me by cleaning out muddy debris that had lodged in the steering mechanism, and it drives perfectly again! Then he astounded me by refusing to accept payment....I was stunned and grateful! Once again, Les Schwab went above and WAY beyond! Checkin for my appointment was a breeze and the waiting area was comfortable. Everyone I dealt with helpful and reassuring to someone who knows nothing about cars. Took my Honda Crosstour in a week ago to have the brakes looked at because they were squeaking. Worked with Ryan the store manager. Great guy and very honest, which I appreciated. I did not feel pressured to buy new tires or have my brakes done on the spot. He gave me an estimate on brakes and tires with no charge to assess both. Ended up having a buddy replace my brake pads to save a little money. Went back today to get new tires today. I knew after seeing my tires when my buddy pulled them off to do the brakes, they needed to be replaced. Ryan was pulling out of the parking lot when I pulled in and he turned around to come back and help me as he remembered my vehicle from a week ago. I recently purchased a set of tires for my girlfriend's Subaru Outback. After about three weeks later, she had a rear tire blowout on the I-5. I took the car and shredded tire back to the store and they were fabulous. They ordered the replacement tire and it was there the next morning. They installed it and there was no charge for anything. I usually go into situations like this anticipating some sort of hassle but there was none whatsoever. Their service is as excellent as can be. They have truly earned my trust. read more

I've been buying tires at Les schwab for years. This is my first experience at the lynden Washington store. The guy at the counter yesterday was very helpful and courteous. I was supposed to come today to pick up my vehicle and the guy that called me was very courteous as well. When I arrived to pick it up the women at the counter acted like I was bothering her when I told her why I was there. She then checked on the vehicle only to tell me without any eye contact and acting like she would rather close the store go home and eat her pet cat that it wasn't ready. I'm only here to pick up this vehicle for a friend. As long as this hateful woman is here I will not be returning for any reason. read more

These guys are a joke. I called on a Friday to schedule a brake service they said they don't do appointments and to bring it in Monday morning. They opened at 8am I was there at 805 and they tell me they are getting booked up for the day and could get to it tomorrow. How do you book up for the day in 5 minutes. My brakes were squealing horribly all of a sudden so I rolled into Les Schwab Lynden. As I went to open my door, Joey appeared right there and thought it would be an easy fix. A few customers in line already, so waited in the waiting area watching Saturday morning soccer with a cup of coffee and popcorn. Observed the mechanics methodically doing their job and getting the cars out. Half an hour later, I was out the door myself with the stray rock removed from the brakes! I purchased my tires at another local tire store for the first time in years. Their hours do not mesh with my work schedule so it is extremely difficult to get my tires checked and rotated. However Les Schwab was happy to do it for me for free. Will be back here the next time I need new tires. read more

I don't know if they always mess people's stuff up but they took a set of weld wheels off of tires for me and they use bars which is fine but they took them off on the face side of the wheel so that means they pried on the front lip of my wheels and left random dents all along all of my four wheels. read more

This store is one of the only franchises left that is not owned by Les Scwab. I keep going back thinking they will drop their prices but they never do. Make sure you check the other Les Schwab's their prices are much better. I bought my tires at another less Schwab and they wanted to charge me to rotate my tires because I didn't buy them from that particular store, seriously! Great experience!!! I needed new tires quick and already had an appt with Discount Tires. I had heard such great things about Les Schwab so I decided to go there instead. No appt and I was still in and out in less than an hour on a Saturday afternoon. Great customer service and although I purchased very economy tires for a vehicle I don't plan to keep much longer.... they are great!! My vehicle runs so much smoother and I love how they look on my car. I can't say enough great things about this place and the staff. I went to this store to get two tires mounted on some wheels that I had, one of the employees unloaded them and brought them over to the tire machine. Because the tires were new and because I did not purchase them from them the manager refused to mount them saying that they had a policy against this and that they did not want to take a risk on damaging my wheels. What a bunch BS. I would definately stay away from this place as they are a joke! I ended up taking my tires to get mounted at Zylestra Tire Factoy also in Lynden, what a difference, these guy are friendly an honest and did a great job mounting my tires. read more

I would not reccomend the Les Schwab tire center in Lynden. It pains me to say this because I've been a long time Les Schwab customer from way back in the "Free Beef" days. Unless you're buying new tires or wheels from them, they are unhelpful and downright rude. I purchased some new/refurbished factory alloy wheels for my truck to replace my existing alloys. I called they Lynden Les Schwab ahead of time to make sure they could remount my exising factory tires on the new wheels and I was told yes by the technician. I called the day before bringing the truck in and again, I was told that they could perform the job and no appointment was necessary. When I arrived at the shop in the morning, I was told that due to policy they would not install new wheels that were not purchased at the store. The reason? The potential libility of scratching/damaging the new wheels. The acting manager reiterated this nonsensical policy. Wait a minute, isn't this your core compentancy, Lynden Les Schwab? If you're admitting that you can't be trusted to not damage alloy wheels, why should I bring any of my vehicles in regardless of whether the wheels are new or not? I don't want the alloy wheels on my 2008 Accord damaged either. Do you routinely scratch/damage wheels and hope the customer doesn't notice? I won't be taking any of my vehicles back to Les Schwab. read more

Recently moved to Whatcom County from Chicago because my husband is from this area. The brakes on my 2007 Honda Civic were squeaking, and on the recommendation of my father-in-law I brought my car to this Les Schwab. My father-in-law said he's been going to this Les Schwab for years, and he's lived in Lynden all his life so I believed this was an honest and decent place. When I brought my car in they said I needed new breaks, so I bought new ones. After a week I brought the car back because the squeaking didn't go away, and they just said that's normal because of the break in period. At that point a red flag went up, and I questioned even if I needed new breaks in the first place. Six months later I bring it in again to have them look at it again because it's STILL SQUEAKING, and all they tell me is that it was a little dirty and they cleaned it out and it's normal on Civics, and as I'm leaving their parking lot my brakes squeak. I will probably get a second opinion somewhere else, and most likely will take my business somewhere else from now on. I will say they are very polite, but I just don't think they know what they are doing, at least not with import cars. read more

This is one of the better Les Schwabs I've been to in Whatcom county. Nice waiting area with comfortable chairs with tables but they do lack wifi. The other Les Schwabs offer wifi and when you can be there waiting for hours not offering wifi is kind of a huge deal in 2017. The popcorn was old and the coffee was water level weak but that I expected and I don't care. That doesn't reflect into the 3/5 rating. I was there on 03/10/17 to get new tires put on my car. There was not much waiting time before my car was brought into the shop and they got the tires on it and I was out of there in under two hours. They were professional and did a great job. I will be coming back for more but ok so what's with the 3 out of 5 if I'm actually a very satisfied customer? They have a weird deal with getting wheel alignments done. I was there to quote a wheel alignment for my truck while I was there like I will be back tomorrow with my truck if I can get this done just how much would be an estimate. Which was a low $87 which I'm like WHOA sign me up and that's where the problem was. They have one tech who can do alignments and he's not there all the time during business days and he's always backed up. I have to leave my truck there all day for it to maybe be done and figure out how to get it there and pick up it up I'm like K...? No, I will likely get that done elsewhere if I have to work under those kind of strict conditions. For just tires they have my business but I may go to another Les Schwab for the alignment. read more
