Went in yesterday for a follow up for them to fix T.P.M.S. from a mistake they made months ago. Upon getting my vehicle home, I noticed that the two new tpms in the front are silver, ON BLACK CUSTOM WHEELS. It looks terrible, & was never discussed, & the preference is always what looks best.....obviously to match the wheels. If they don't fix this AGAIN, it will unfortunately for them be the end of our business there. We will be taking our three vehicles somewhere different for better service. read more

We had the great joy of running over a chunk of threaded rod and blowing our tire AND poking a hole in our aluminum rim on our older Rav4, three days before X-mas and a road trip from Blaine to Everett for dinner. I checked at Costco, but they had no rims and the tire was an oddball and would be several days out. So, I went to Discount Tire, where I was successful at getting an oddball tire for older S10. The very accommodating counter guy (#69) said they had rim options and could get the tire in a couple of days, making our trip south a reliable venture. To sweeten the deal they beat Costco's price by a few bucks and they offer a military discount for us retired old guys. I was very pleased to get a call from DC the very next day saying that the tire and rim were in and would be available soonest. I went in, they put the new tire on and the spare back where it belonged, all smiles and happy holidays. In summary, good availability, great service topped of by being a good value. I needed new tires. A trusted friend recommended Discount Tires. Boy, am I glad he did! The service at Discount is nothing short of spectacular. I saw on their website, that an online appointment would significantly reduce my wait time. I carefully applied. The next day I arrived in my 4 wheel truck on time for my scheduled appointment. As I entered, I was immediately greeted by a smiling employee. He was already aware of my name and the purpose of my visit. He politely quizzed me about what kind of driving I do. (How many miles, city or long distance, off road, snow, etc). He then expertly suggested a few selected brands and why. After my selection, he stated my vehicle would be ready in about an hour. I walked a few blocks away to eat lunch. Just as I was finishing eating, I received a text stating my truck was ready. ( It had been 57 minutes since I had left it). An additional note stated they had discovered one of the tire pressure sensors had failed. I had been aware of that for a year.... That's how long my dash warning light had been flashing. After I spoke with the dealership I decided to just live with it because they quoted me a repair price that was just not acceptable. Discount quoted a very reasonable price of $67 installed. I was shocked. In addition, they said my truck would still be ready by the time I walked back. Amazing! Three weeks later I took my other vehicle in. It also had a faulty pressure sensor and a low tire. Again I made an appointment. This time as I arrived, I never even made inside. I was met on the sidewalk by the same employee there to help me. Again I was told an hour. I walked around the corner to Fred Meyer to have a coffee at Starbucks. Thirty-two minutes this time., my van was ready. I approached their store and, you guessed it, I was met on the sidewalk. I was pointed to a nearby area, clearly marked with "enter here" and boarded by safety cones. Drive your car in and another employee arrives to check all your tires for the correct pressure. No need to even get out of your car. As I started to exit their parking lot, my dash warning light started flashing. I waited a few seconds, but it still kept flashing. I drove around the lot to the front of the store. There was an empty space right in front. Before I even had finished rolling, The Super Employee was standing by my window. "Don't worry. When sensors are replaced on Hondas, it may take a mile or two for them to adjust". A mile down the road, the flashing light went quiet. All is well. And, I am totally amazed and impressed. I wish every business was this efficient and well run. They deserve maximum stars! read more

On Aug 20th we noticed a tire low pressure light on our cars console. Since I was recently released from the hospital following an injury, I was unable to even check the tire myself (my spouse was driving). I called the Lakeway branch who took us in right away and replaced all tires with new ones (which we needed to do anyway.) Since I was recuperating from injuries, the immediate service met so much to us. I went in to have my tire checked and AJ found a screw in one of my tires. Getting ready to head south to Seattle, I was concerned and AJ said he'd get me right in. After waiting a few minutes to confirm the issue, Zakee came up with a few ideas. I totally forgot I got these from a competitor and since I've been a loyal client in the past they assisted me with insurance/warranty cost and instead of $250 a tire, he saved me more then half. These guys are just AMAZING! One of my tires had a very slow leak. The Lexus dealer had told me I would have to replace the wheel, not the tire, to fix the problem, which would have cost me literally hundreds of $$$!. I brought in my car here to see what they have to say. They inspected the tire and sealed it to make sure there's no leakage. They completely fixed it! What shocked me is it was FREE! I couldn't believe it. They only asked me to come back when I need new tires. Just a good handshake and that is it! OUTSTANDING SERVICE. After getting a flat tire in Merritt, BC, with NO auto shops or tire stores available, we had to pull over every 20 minutes to fill it (thank G-D for our portable pump!) We arrived the next day in Washington and made an appointment here, which he gladly extended as we were stuck in traffic at the border. After driving into this HUGE TIRE WAREHOUSE, the friendly staff got to work, quickly removed the 6" NAIL, patched it up, filled all tires with air, tightened bolts and we were on our way. With ZERO charge. It cost NOTHING. Because they believe that SAFETY is more important than anything. read more

I appreciated the way they keep in touch via internet regarding the appointment and progress, and they were quick. BUT when I went home my TPMS light came on. I called them, took the car back, and they recalibrated (which I had already done myself) and double checked inflation, but the light stayed on. So I went to the Honda dealer to ask what might be the problem, and they indicted that the sensor in one of the wheels had been nicked during tire installation at Discount Tire. It will cost me over $200 to fix! The "discounted" tires turned out to cost a lot more! Update: Turns out one of the four wheels installed was a different size, something Honda discovered after their analysis of the TPMS system. Brett had started a claims process before I had Honda do the analysis, so once the error was discovered he followed through, putting me in touch with the claims personnel and a refund for what Honda charged is in process. They replaced the inaccurately installed tire with the correct size and all is well. One stat is missing from the review for the hassle it caused, but, otherwise, I'd go back for new tires again...I'd just be sure to check all the tires after installation to make sure they are all the same size. read more

I just had an appointment and bought 2 new tires at discount tires on Lakeway and I had almost the perfect experience it was great service great tires and they got my car done very quickly, but after I left I'm noticed I had a low tire come to find out there's only 25 pounds of air and one of my tires and all the others where a little Low or little high But you would think after purchasing 2 new tires they would make sure that all of the tires were inflated properly but I would go back, I would just check them. read more

Great. Customer Service is unbelievably good here. No wonder they are so busy - Their customers keep coming back. They made a mistake with ordering my tires, and really went above and beyond in making things right. They completely owned their mistake with "It's on us" "Sorry for the wait" and "That's how we do it" and I can't remember the last time I've had a company take such ownership and grasp the opportunity to make things right. And they really did go above and beyond and I was never even upset. Not to mention the tires were better and quoted $200 cheaper than the "other guys" which I was also happy about. I came in for a wheel rotation and balance. I had some directional tires put on backwards which is a huge error on Discount Tire's end and a cause for concern from a safety standpoint. This is the absolute best place to deal with any tire related problems. The sensor in my VW bug went off, and told me to check tires. Discount tires did a quick check, but nothing seemed outwardly amiss, put air in all of them although the left rear tire was lower than the others. No charge. Two months later the sensor goes off again, a friend checked the pressure and the same tire was slightly low. So now I know the problem. Brought my car in, and it turned out there was a tiny nail in the tire. They fixed it, rotated the tires and did NOT charge me. I was stunned when they said no charge. Well, I know where I will be coming when I need new tires. They were quick, professional, polite and knowledgeable. I very highly recommend them. read more

We live in Vancouver but did some research about buying our tires for my boyfriend's truck in Bellingham. We compared Costco & Discount Tire. After finding the same product at both, Costco at first seemed cheaper. We met with Discount Tire, they price matched and installed them that day. Since then we head down every 8000km to get the tires rotated. We are always met with exceptional customer service that is kind, courteous and makes us feel like valued customers. We also appreciate the free wifi and bottled water in the lobby. In contrast, I bought my own tires at Costco Canada - and have been met with poor service that is slow, impersonal and cold.
