I went in just to get a nail hole fixed. They talked me in to buying 2 new tires instead. I looked up the price and quality of the tires on line when I got home. They charged me $285 for 2 tires. The low price for the same tires is $50 avg price $75 Les Schwab price $103. They took advantage of me big time. They are cheap low quality tires. VENEZIA is the brand. I am not to happy with the price they charged. Could have gotten 4 for the $285 anywhere else. They should be ashamed. Do your homework before buying. Ofcourse I was not planning on buying tires , just wanted a nail hole plugged. read more

I went in a couple weeks ago to have my tires rotated and have the safety check done. I knew my rear shocks were leaking and was expecting to replace them. Most of the Chevy dealerships were cocky and brushed me off because yes, judgy, but I took it as I'm a girl. The dealerships also tried to get me to buy things I did not need. After my rotation, I was told I would definitely need new shocks. He didn't just try to upsell me. He gave me options and I did end up going with the Fabtech. They were honest with what was still in good working order and not scheduling me just to schedule. They called when my shocks came in and worked around my schedule. I was told it could take up to an hour, even though they were double booked, they had it done within 40 minutes. They were very professional yet personable at the same time. All the customers that came in, they treated with the same respect I noticed while I waited. Even the ones who weren't so pleasent. Labor costs weren't rapey as most dealerships and my truck feels soooo much better! They even put the fancy stickers on for me :) I will definitely be using this location and business for all my trucks quirky needs! Thank you!!! read more

I am working in the area as part of the debris clean up. I rented a car in SoCal and drove up here for a month. My first day of work, I suffered not one but two punctured tires at different times. I took the car to Les Schwab for repairs expecting to have to pay, which I would be fine with. Both times, they repaired the tires free of charge. I've bought Tires from Les Schwab many times, because they almost always have great Customer Service. I have noticed the Company might be putting time demands on their employees that will force the Service to go down a little. Employees now longer run out to your Car for Tire Inflation at either of the Two Locations, but if you go inside and ask, they still fill Tires Free, you may just have to drive around back for them to do it now! Awesome customer service! One of my brand new tires that I had purchased in the Bay Area had popped so I called every tire place in Chico trying to get a deal on a new one. After exhausting all my efforts, and every place trying to take an arm and a leg from me, I decided to expand my search to Paradise. I talked with Dave over the phone and explained my situation to him (like I had with every other place) and he was more than willing to help accommodate me. He was so friendly and personable and even made sure to stay at the shop until I was able to come in later in the day. I have ALWAYS used Les Schwab at this and other locations for their decent prices, often free minor services (such as flat repair) and convenience. When they didn't offer the tires I wanted in 2009, they happily had them shipped directly to their store from an online retailer to be installed on my car. But now in 2012 I had to order 2 more tires on a Sunday (when they were closed) so I can get the tires ASAP, so I call them Monday morning to let them know I've had two tires shipped to them and in a very rude manner, the guy treats me like I'm some sort of idiot and informs me they will probably refuse the UPS shipment. Needless to say I called and changed the shipping address to my home and I won't be darkening their door when the tires arrive. read more

I brought my own new tires in to install on a peterbilt they gouged like crazy. Helping clean up there town from fire damage. The sales man that helped me said we do sell tires also, $630 for a China tire, anywhere else $350 to $400. $60 to mount and dismount $15 to remove the tire from the truck and 37 for a bag of balance beads. I would never recommend there services to anyone at these prices. I was just completely blown away by the whole experience. Gouging on a whole new level. read more

I have been doing business with les schwab for 7 yrs, bought tires, rims , lifts, etc. Recently had a tire balance and rotation done here in Paradise and the service was done promptly. Upon returning to my truck I noticed some scratches on the wheels by the lug nuts and pointed them out to the manager Dave. Without any questions of who,what when or where he said he apologizes for what happened. He took care of me and is in the process of replacing what was damaged ...no questions asked.. A beautiful afternoon was soon spoiled when I walk out to my car and found my back tire flat. My poor husband had to put the spare on right after work because we had to be somewhere that evening. So down the road to Les Schwab we went. This was our first time at the Paradise location and were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. The place was clean and the waiting area was big. They even provided a popcorn machine and a flat screen tv to watch. I was able to easily feed my baby his bottle while all four tires were changed. We had been putting off getting them changed for awhile and with winter coming and a baby in tow, we thought "might as well change em' all". The wait time took about an hour which is comparable to the two Chico locations wait time. The staff, although busy running back and forth between the front desk and garage, were patient and polite with the customers that came in after us. We've always gone to Les Schwab to get our tires changed and have walked away happy every time. Paying for new tires is a necessary evil if you own a car so I recommend any three of these locations in Chico and Paradise. read more

Cant say enough about Les Schwab. They earned my business long time ago. I have personally witnessed them tell people they don't need new tires on two separate occasions. Of course after questioning their driving habits and needs. Dave is fantastic with customers and works hard (as well as the other employees). The customer service at this shop is great, the product and pricing is great also however after the sale, the customer service experience seems to loose it's importance. I went into this shop today to have my tires rotated and was told I would have to wait for over an hour. I asked if I could schedule an apt and was told NO. I asked when I should come back, perhaps during the normal slow period and was told that Tues am (today) were the slow periods which still was an hour wait. I just felt that the "After" customer service experience is very lacking. Not being able to make an apt for the FREE tire rotation is really frustrating, who has time to wait and hour for a job that take 15 minutes. I will consider this experience the next time I plan to purchase a new set of tires. read more

I had a close to a flat and I immediately went to Les Schwab on Skyway in Paradise. They found a piece of metal in my tire and fixed it FREE OF CHARGE! I would highly recommend them! BTW, it took all of 15 minutes and I was out of there!!!! Awesome! read more

Dropped in this morning to ask them to look at a tire that was leaking. Even though I didn't have an appointment, they took care of things quickly and with cheerful, efficient service. One thing important to me is that the tech used a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts. That is the right way to put the wheel back on a car. When my car needs new tires in another 15-20,000 miles you can bet I'll take my car there first. read more

2 cars....same day for an alignment and they couldn't get either one right! Car#1...Sure the "machine is in the green" BUT if you don't know what the numbers mean, colors mean NOTHING! There is a reason the car came in driving straight and left pulling HARD to the right. YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THERE WAS CAMBER PROBLEM INSTEAD OF LETTING ME LEAVE WITH A CAR THAT WAS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE! But of course you can't tell the customer something you don't understand yourself. This is total ignorance! Car#2...I asked for the print out and was told it was "close enough" so they don't have it. Driving the vehicle, it felt like it was sliding around on ice. Took it back and "master tech" couldn't loosen tie rod jam nut to adjust the toe that "idiot tech" tightened the day before. He ended up stripping it with a pair of channel locks. A wheel alignment takes more than a grease monkey that can tell between red and green. This place does not have that,,,right DAVE? Don't waste your money here.... read more

les schwab or less service Me and my family have used them for years i bought my first set of tires from them 17 years ago and every other set from them. if they dont make this right they will lose me and my family's business and where a big family none of us are happy with the service they took forever over two hours with an appointment. i ordered aggressive tires when they got my truck done they put racing slicks on it. when i asked whats this is not what i wanted. i had to wait for the manager who said we can give you store credit for 50% of the tire value. when it rains my 4wd truck slips and slides only 20% into the warranty and they are bald no tread left. lets see what they will do? i called les schwabs main office they said we cant help you only the owner of the shop can were franchise owned read more

Where do I even start. Went in to have 4 brand new tires mounted, nothing more. Total came out to be 300$ for mounting and balancing. Took 4 hours for them to complete. Then had one of the tires completely blow out on me 2 days later. Come to find out. The tire was not properly mounted on the wheel, if you want affordable, don't go to Les Schwab, if you want great customer service, don't go to Les Schwab, if you want your tires properly mounted and safe, don't go to Les Schwab. read more

I would have posted a review if they hadn't made things right, so I feel obligated to do the same when they did make things right. Went to Les Schwab in Auburn Ca (where I bought my tires) to get a flat fixed. While changing the tire I broke a stud. The service agent said he wouldn't charge me the $ 110 labor if I paid for the stud and the flat fix was also free. I asked them to check the battery which ended up needing to be replaced. When I left the business all my presets were zeroed and all the warning lights were flashing. I tried to initiate the factory defaults - no joy. Took the car to the dealer who after a couple of hours found a secondary fuse (that no service tech knew existed) was the problem Went back to Les Schwab expecting a hassle and the manager says, "of coarse we'll cover the dealer service cost and let me give you a credit to cover your time and inconvenience". What can I say - Great Service. read more

We've always had really excellent service here over the ten years we've been using them for tires and minor services, but today I finally had to yelp about them. Brought my SUV in with a scary front end noise that had me imagining $$$$ repairs, but it was just a loose caliper bolt. No charge and out in 37 minutes. Service with a smile. Took my Dodge Truck to Les Schwab, 8/10/16, as they had told me my pickup needed new front end Ball Joints before they could perform a Thrust Alignment. Total cost $549.36. Luckily for me I took my Dodge for a tune up at Dave Barrett's, Magalia, less than 2 weeks later, 8/23/16. Mr. Barrett test drove my pickup and noticed the front end was wobbling around, making shifting noises, and checked it. He found that all my front end bolts holding my Ball Joints etc. were loose. All my front end work was falling apart. Not good as I drive to the Bay Area all the time. Hey, I could have died from the poor work done at Les Schwab's driving down the CA 580 fwy Altamont Pass where it's easy to get to 80 MPH going downhill. read more

I love this store. Customer service is great and everyone is so friendly. But the best part can be seen posted on the wall across from the counter. Look at all the 4-H pictures. This place is committed to young people and encourages their endeavors. Manager Dave bought my granddaughter's goat at the 4-H auction today. Thank you, Dave. She is pretty shy, but you made her feel like a confident young woman. And yes, there were tears in her eyes when she gave you your buyers gift. She made the mistake of falling in love with that little goat! But she'll be back next year. Meanwhile, we'll keep coming to you for all our tire and balancing needs. read more

My daughter took her civic in to see about a noise the tires were making. They said bring it in for an "appointment" She did. They wrote a quote because computer wasnt working. Brought it in for the work and when we picked up the civic it was 150. more than the quote. Not only that! They T-Boned the car! $2, 300. in damages. The owner David said, no problem! We recently hit another customers car and you go get three quotes and we will can write you a check. Turns out they put my daughters bill on my account. I asked why they said, well her account wasn't able to take the charges! So they put them on MY ACCOUNT!!! I am never going back there. read more

You need to watch out for this shop. As I went in to my tires rotated had to wait 40 minutes. I had left for a trip the next morning up in the moutains on a very winding road. My vehicle was making a weird sound everytime I turned my wheel. When I arrived home thinking something was terrible wrong with mycar. My husband checked the vehicle and 4 out of the 5 lug nuts weren't even tighten on the rear drivers side tire. This could have been a very unfortunate happening. I will now go to the chico store from here on out. read more

Ya know, I've been a customer of Les Schwab in Paradise for years now and thought they were the bee's knees - until today. I took my 1997 Ford F-250 4x4 in for front brakes after I bought all the parts to do it myself. Upon finding out about all the tools I'd need to complete the job, I decided to let the professionals do it. I took it to LS. - To make a long story short, they charged me $125 for each rotor ( Auto Zone's price was $39.95 each) total price was $634 for the job. They told me a complete job was done, rear brakes were checked and were good ( lug nuts showed no evidence of being disturbed on either rear wheel). Before I took it to them I had one of the front wheels off, and the rotor looked fine - they said both needed to be replaced when I went to pick it up. Napa is their parts store. The best rotor they carry for my truck cost $59.95 each. I know they have a mark up on parts, but come on man! Never again! Sure, they're nice, friendly and have free popcorn and coffee, and smile to your face while ripping you off at the same time - I'm totally disgusted...BEWARE! read more

Bought tires from Les Schwab less than a year and a half ago. While on the road, one tire was punctured by some object on the road. I figured it was ok, since I had the "Les Schwab" guaranteed road warranty. Boy was I wrong. After the tire technician removed my tire, he came back to inform me that he could not fix my tire, but he'd find another one. Half hour goes by and he returns to tell me that he can't find a match, but will look for one similar. Another half hour goes by, he returns to tell me that instead of a replacement, I now need to replace all four tires as he can't find a match and since he can't find one, I need to replace all of them. $890... Oh, and they'll give me $50 for each of my other tires. My "used" tires have less than 18,000 miles on them, good tread still, but that is the best they can do. And they'll give me $75 for my "blown" tire. Hmm.. let me get this straight, You'll give me all new tires and give me a "discount" of $150 for my "old" tires... To which the secretary says "We don't have to give you anything and we don't have to accept the warranty at all. We're doing you a favor." Seriously? She goes back to the counter and tells the tire technician "Well, you get what you get and that's it." Nice customer service.. NOT! I ask about the road hazard and free repair/replacement. They reply that they do not have to adhere to it. So what good is it to buy tires from Les Schwab? Absolutely nothing! They do NOT honor their warranties. They do NOT stand by their word. They treat customers with total disrespect. Would never do business here again. read more
