Went in to get 1 (one!) tire checked and maybe replaced. I have a 2 wheel drive in the front, so replacing a single back tire shouldn't be much of an issue at all. It took 4 and a half hours in the middle of a Monday. They didn't get my car in until 2 hours in. Since I had not expected this to take four and a half hours, I had to leave midway to make it to work on time and have someone else pick up the car. Both times I had asked about how much time it would take, they had given me 'not too much longer' and 'uhhh maybe 30 minutes', only to keep my father there for another 2 and a half hours. After that, they only told him about my alignment and then tried to keep him even longer and charge more for the shocks. This is not the first time Les Schwab has taken over three hours for tires, both of the ones in redmond. They're getting worse and worse by the year, ever since they stopped being owned by the actual family. Look into a local repair shop, les schwab isn't worth it anymore. read more

Les is defiantely Less. For those of you who have done business with Schwab for many years, you wont recognize it now. I went in at 9AM for my 9:30 appointment. Met with a guy at the front desk and we discussed which tires would work best for my motorhome. We settled on the right tires and I left the vehicle for an alignment and the new tires. When I came back in the afternoon I took one look at the tires they put on and there was no way they were the right tires. Got someone to come out and look, they went and checked the work order and said "your correct, they put the wrong tires on." An hour and a half later they had the correct tires on. ANY fly by night out fit could provide the same level of service as these clowns. This place needs a manager that can run a tight ship. I've been a customer for 50 years but I wont be back. They used to be a trustworthy, reliable outfit. No longer. And now they say they do oil changes. Its one thing to put the wrong tires on but if they screw up your oil change your looking at some real problems! read more

Their quality of service has gone down anyway at the Redmond stores. I've been misdiagnosed on my vehicle with a ungodly repair estimate that was found out wasn't even needed. They have new recruits that they haven't trained properly. It's all about getting that estimate to you getting that work done even if you don't need it. Disappointed with the customer care. I paid for a standard switch over $115 and when they told me they wouldn't recommend driving on my old tires I told them I'd get rid of them, but they could leave them in the vehicle. So they shoved the dirty old tires in the back of my Yukon where the tires rubbed black marks on my ceiling interior!!! They also could have easily laid the back seat down and made them all fit laying flat! Everyone else got their signature yellow plastic over their tires, so apparently I'm not as important as the other customers and the interior of my car can get trashed!!! Let me show you what tires to put on the rear of my truck front passenger needs the flat fixed. I specifically told them don't put the four new tires on my truck. What do they do? Put the four new tires on my truck a bunch of dumb fucks over there. And then they try to tell me don't yell fuck them you fucked up. Did not encounter the "Les Schwab" experience at this store I have had previously known for the past 5-decades. Had nail in tire, the two "clean white shirt" ladies at the front desk told me I'd have to wait 2-hours - yes they were very busy in the bays - but no customers at the counter inside. I was told I could not schedule to return in two-hours, but would have to wait in person. Guess I'm spoiled from when Les ran the company - in the past - the white shirt manager himself would have fixed my tire (yes - the shirts show the effort at peak demand) Times have changed - Wall Street owns the company now - the change in pricing and service is noticeable. My friends and family have switched to Discount - I'm still hoping for the "culture" to maintain and a turn-around. Yes - Les would be turning in his grave. read more

Hidden fees , no communication. Major attitude from staff. Our $212 bill turned into $264 without them asking permission to replace valves that were already new. They are swindlers, thiefs and scam artists. Do not trust them. Updating this review as I forgot to mention when they filled our tires with air they were all over the place! 25 psi to 38:.. each tire different. If they can't fill your tires with air properly , I wouldn't trust my life with them. Take it to someone who checks your tires before they send you home on them . Previous visit I had a nail in the tire : they sent me home saying it was fixed . Only To realize the tire they "patched" had no hole at all and the nail was still In the tire I brought to them! Amateurs at best. Needless to say. I have given up all hope with this company and americas best tires in bend is a little more of a drive but less expensive, better customer service and I have never left the lot with a hole in my tire . read more

Long story: I bought a full set for AWD vehicle. Months down the line we got a nail in a tire and took it in. They fixed it under warranty. A few weeks ago I was looking at the tires and the one they fixed was a completely different tire from the set we bought, and it was significantly bald. (This is like 7 months down the line. The Mrs. uses the vehicle with our kid; I drive a beater to work.) I schedule a tire rotation and check to see if tires are still under warranty cause I was worried about that bald tire, and they were still under warranty. I get a call saying the tires aren't under warranty cause it's an alignment issue. I don't get why they can replace a tire with one that's not even from the same set without it being an alignment issue, but when I take it in, it is. And now I have to replace multiple tires. All in all, a valuable lesson learned about this company. read more

When we, a couple of senior gals, were returning to Portland from Central Oregon in time for an emergency vet appointment for our dog last Friday, our TPMS went off. We knew that we stood to lose our appointment time at the Portland vet's office, but knew we could NOT take the risk of having a problem going over Mt. Hood! We pulled into the Redmond LS store, explained our situation, and the Team went into high-gear. They said, "We got you!". It was amazing! Our tire was repaired, (they found a nail!) and we were on our way, in about 20 minutes, even though they were super busy. Thank you Ethan and the rest of your amazing team. I went into Les Schwab Redmond for a suspension check. I was told after my vehicle was done that I would need a new part installed. I reluctantly agreed to have it ordered and was told that it would be ready for installation on the 19th. I had planned to be in the mountains for a hunting trip but feared having problems if I put it off. I skipped leaving early and came in early for it. I dropped my truck off as soon as the doors opened and was shocked when I was told I would be 4th in line for service even though they said they don't make appointments. By 3pm that day I had to contact them to see if they were working on my vehicle. 10 hours and no work had been done!! I came in at closing to pick up my vehicle. Dena the person at the front desk was rude and told me that no work needed to be done. I wasted 2 days for nothing! Unbelievable!! read more

This company has gone to crap.They have gotten lazy and over priced. Everytime i have driven down there to get service done I walk in just before Seven and they aren't taking cars anymore. They have become an appointment only company but try to play it iff like they are not by continuing to encourage walkin. However if you walk in after 7:30 you will not get any service. I have been down there five times in the last three weeks. I was asked once f i had an appointment and say no but they don't mention how to make an appointment and their online page don't make it any easier. I grew up in central oregon and My family and I knew Les before he died and i can tell you that the way Les Schwab is being ran for the last 10 years has hime tolling in his grave. Tires ate lower life and more expensive than ANYWHERE ELSE and their service would not be acceptable in the middle of the deserts of Lebanon during military conflict. I am beyond frustrated with this place. 10 months ago we went to Schwab to put a 3 inch lift on my 2015 4-runner. Now here I am in a mechanic shop in the middle of no where with my 3 children because my 2 back shocks have snapped completely. The rod had an inch for clearance and now the mechanic has mentioned he has never seen anything like this and these shocks are made for a big jacked up truck. So now I have to pay for 2 new shocks when this should have been prevented. Could have really been dangerous for myself and my family. I wouldn't recommend these people as they clearly are lazy and don't know what they're doing. I do not live in Oregon or by any schwab to take this part in to have it repaired. Plus if I did I would have to wait all day. I mean lets be honest, they're slow. At the end of the day this shouldn't have happened and could have been prevented if they knew what they were doing and thank goodness nothing worse happened when this occured. read more

I have NEVER ONCE had a pleasant experience at ANY of the Les Schwab locations in Redmond or Bend. I assume they must have the same regional manager, who should be ashamed to disrespect the Schwab name the way that he does. I have had some very wild experiences like being charged for brakes that I didn't need for another 15,000 miles probably (Hunnell Rd.), being over quoted for extra parts (confirmed by other LS employees), and being told that "my vehicle came in like that" after parts were lost (and later found) in the service bay (former Franklin Ave.). I had to argue with the shift lead at the former Franklin Ave. in order for them to admit that my vehicle was not missing a hubcap when it came in and he threatened to check the cameras, which I agreed would be a good idea. The Redmond location has even returned my car to me with a lug nut missing and claimed "it came in with one missing". The only reason that I have continued to come back is because I have had nearly 20 years worth of good experiences at other locations. Now that I live in Central Oregon, I would STRONGLY WARN AGAINST ANYONE GOING TO LES SCHWAB for anything really. I tried to think of a service to list that hasn't been screwed up by these guys but I honestly can't think of anything. They have screwed up alignments, balancing, ball joints, brakes. Les Schwab also sees it as acceptable to leave your vehicle unlocked while sitting in their back lot completely unattended-very cool. After I opened my unlocked car, I saw that my passenger seat was wet because they left the window half way down, and to polish it all off, they left massive streaks of grease all over my interior. My most recent visit was to address work that they did improperly the first time-the only reason I would ever return to them-and they told me that nothing was wrong. Seriously?? I can SEE the problem and you're telling me that your technicians can't identify there even being an issue? Wild. Taking your car here is like asking lying hobos and children to fix your rig. read more

(Redmond needs a second location ASAP) I waited hours for my vehicle with my 5 year old that could have been avoided if communication had been better. Same Day service, quick in and out and to my surprise, you credited me for the damaged tire that was removed! I did not expect that, due to the age of the tire. As far as the new Toyo tires go, so far I'm impressed! Since the 80's I have always went with Toyo's on heavy trucks and motor coaches. This is my first experience on an automobile/SUV application. I've taken Les Schwab for granted my whole life. (Because they've always been there when my family needed tires.) Today I am thankful for their "battery bay". My old battery left me high and dry in my work parking lot. AAA came and gave me a jump but he didn't have the right replacement battery to so sent me to Les Schwab. Even though they were very busy, I was greeted immediately in the lobby and directed to the "battery bay". Of course there were others in my predicament ahead of me but some how Mike Paxton used his super powers to get us all new batteries and on our way almost before I settled down to wait. In the brief time i was there I noticed the many services available besides new tires. Note to self...get brakes here. I am writing this review because this company, and Mike, came through for me, fixed my car so I could get back to my life and surprised and pleased me with their friendliness and efficiency. I've been a lifelong Les Schwab customer. However, it wasn't until I moved to Central Oregon (their birthplace) that I've realized I should look for another option. The fact of the matter is, Les Schwab in Central Oregon is overwhelmed with business. Great problem to have if you are a corporation. Not great for the consumer. The following is subjective but I'll state it anyway. Anything that is part of their service agreement (no cost to consumer) seems to be pushed to the end of the line. A very long line. I was told they open their doors at 7:50 AM, but the line starts at 7:00. Thank you for the dose of reality. Outside of Central Oregon, you can expect a much faster turnaround. Les Schwab is great if they can fit you in. I think I will start shopping for another tire center for the first time in my life. read more

The appointment system is a joke even when you buy $1500 in tires. I witnessed one of the young kids take my truck around the block and then park it back in the parking lot. I asked one of the people at the front desk why that happened and she told me that another truck pulled into the bay first so they had to take it back to the parking lot. It's now 30 minutes past my appointment time. It's a good thing I didn't buy just one tire. Back in the day, Les Schwab was great. Update: I talked to one of the managers about this and he said they make two appointments for the same time as mine. I told him that I was spending $1500 and his answer was "So does everyone else here" How times have changed since Les was around. They were finally able to get my truck in a bay only 45 minutes late. Then after they removed all my tires someone came out and told me that I ordered the wrong size. I'll take the blame for that mistake but why didn't they check first? They didn't have the ones I needed at this store. So after almost 2 hours I drove home with my old tires and saved $1700. read more

I went in to have some work done and was told I would get a 'Veteran's discount'. When I got home and looked at my receipt, there was no indication that the discount was applied to my bill. Next time I took a trip to town I stopped in and inquired about this, the manager said "oh, you got the discount - that service costs more than you were charged". When I got home, I looked up the price of the service listed on their webpage - it was exactly as I was charged - with no discount at all. I have used Les Schwab for 30 years and mostly they have been great. When living in Washington they provided excellent customer service with most times meeting me at my car before I could get out. That being said since I have moved to Central Oregon, home of thus company, their service is the WORST!!! Everything I need something done I'm told I need to make an online appointment, so I made one to simply get a screw removed from a tire when I arrive I'm told it will be an hour and half. I ofcourse get a handful of excuses when I ask why I had to make an appointment when it seems like they just do first come first serve business model. I do NOT recommend them for any service!!!! They also advertise " Free road trip pre check" I wonder how that works since they can't even seem to take care of the scheduled appointment. read more

Poor customer service. I called in to get prices and the employee that answered was rude and kept telling me to go online.

Worst service I've ever had. I called hours before my appointment to confirm they had my tire in stock, I was told yes and to come in at my appointment time. I got checked in at my appointment time, waited over an hour in the lobby for someone to come out and tell me "actually we don't have that tire in stock. So you can either drive to bend or come back in the morning" The manager called moments after I leave to tell me to come in at 8 am when they open and they'll get me taken care of as soon as possible. So the next day I come in at 8am. Waited over an hour again, so I asked when my car would be finished and was told they were just taking my car back. An hour after I was told to promptly be there. This is the worst service by far, no one attempted to correct their mistake. Thanks for wasting my time read more

The customer service at the Redmond Les Schwab is unmatched. They are always very friendly and helpful. It's a busy place, but they make the wait comfy with TV, popcorn and vending machines. Clean bathroom as well. If the wait is especially long and I don't have a ride, I walk to One Street Down and the public library. read more

I went to the redmond location on 3 separate occasions, 3 days in a row for 2 hours minimum and never did get my tire fixed. I went to another company in bend that got me in instantly and I was on the road within 30 minutes at no charge. les Shwab has been bought by a couple multi million dollar companies, it will never be the same. I had a flat tire because of a hole from a nail, instead of charging me a $235 fee for a new tire, they repaired my old one for free and gave me a lug nut and a valve cap on the house. The shop was super busy, but they still fixed my car and called me within the hour. I also want to give a shout out to Adam R. For his amazing customer service and his attentiveness to everything. Just moved to the area, and needed 4 loose tires mounted and balanced on some new wheels. After getting transfered around to someone who could help me, I was quoted $140 for the service. After calling two other shops, I settled on one that could do the same service for $60. I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for, but it seems to me Schwab's service quality has gone down over the years... With their pricing definitely going through the roof. read more

I had two big punctures on my back driver side, and was stranded in Redmond, trying to get home to CRR, with no spare, of course. AAA gave me the run around, so I gave up and called Les Schwab about 20 minutes before they closed. Within minutes, Mike showed up, and pumped as much as possible into my tires to get me the six + blocks to their store. They team stayed after closing, just to make sure I was safely back on the road. I'm truly grateful for their incredible customer service, and will stay a life long customer! So, hear this one... my son's mother is stranded with a flat tire, as we speak... closest tire shop from her location ( REDMOND LES SCHWAB ) she calls them with total belief they could and would willingly " DO THE RIGHT THING" as they say... Well, totally not the case. they told her they could do nothing unless she could pay a price of over $100 dollars. That to me does not sound like the right thing to do. The right thing would be to help get that 2 year old and mother out of the road and hot sun. But instead they chose to be greedy and over charge. Took my car in on Tuesday to get tire pressure checked. All were low.4 days later my car sensor tells me tire pressure low again. Young lady checks two and says,this isn't good so we'll get them checked. Different young lady is checking me in and tells me that to lose 2/3 lb of pressure isn't a problem and they don't need to be checked,just a little air should be fine. I told her that I wanted them checked,she wasn't happy but went off to talk to the girl who checked them originally. Came back and still said they hadn't lost that much air. Told her again that any loss in 4 days needs to be checked.She reluctantly agreed. I also told her that the last time I lost air,it took 7 visits and sending my husband in to get them checked and the result was 5 nails found.
