Stopped in 6/20 our 23' white Toyota Camry caught a nail and needed a repair , was quoted an hour for service which unfortunately dragged on over 2 hours . We had our 2 year old running restlessly around the entire building area and the service coordinator in the back shop came and apologized for the wait & offered his own money to get her a snack commending her behavior even though I felt she was driving everyone crazy. Needless to say I was appreciative of the gesture knowing full well he didn't have to do that, with so much shit customer service now a days that was a good experience. 1st time I've ever brought a car to a shop. Im a mechanic. Not going to go into detail, but very little knowledge of my suspension system and tire pressure sensor system. I had tires put on. They wouldn't rack the car so it started out as 1 tire needed then two then three. Al because they wouldn't rack it and inspect all the tires at one time. Came in to get a tire patched. Ericka is either a control freak of Les Schwab has an insane policy of wasting an hour of your day. She said there's no walk ins but then asks me if I want to put my name on the list and the wait time is an hour and a half. I say ok great. Is it ok if I leave property and she proceeded to tell me I can only leave for 30 minutes. How is that even a thing?! She wants me to sit in the freezing cold store for an hour for what?! One it takes a few mins to patch a tire and it's super controlling to tell me if I don't waste an hour of my time sitting here doing nothing I won't receive services. If a wait time is an hour and a half I shouldn't be required to stay here. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I had a scheduled appointment with Les Schwab in Shelton, WA the other day. I had planned to have a left front wheel bearing replaced. The appointment was met on time and with extreme professionalism. Sean, the mechanic, quickly determined that the initial inspection done two weeks earlier was likely incorrect. Upon disassembly, Sean determined the bearing was not the issue. Further investigation revealed the brake rotors had warped causing vibration during braking. The repair was simple(less than an hour) and resulted in considerable savings. Sean was professional and honest. His level of integrity was outstanding. Thank you, Sean. We have had the best experiences coming to this location. I'm not sure the woman's name who always helps us, but she is so awesome. We also really like Bob and everyone else is so nice. Our first experience was a little over a year ago. I had a blow out, was low on cash, and had no idea what I was going to do. They helped me get Les Schwab financing, same day and into all new tires. My husband brought in his truck to do a tire swap and they were super cool about it. Just put it on our account and we were good to go. Today, I just wasn't paying attention. I decided to head to town in between work stuff and found myself with a flat tire after leaving Fred Meyers. I went over to the air machine, which was not working and o was having a panic moment. I called Les Schwab and was like "I know you're not roadside assistance, but can you please help?" Bob was like: yep! The guy showed up with the quickness and put air in my tire. Now I'm here waiting for them to check it out for me. Who knows how this experience will play out, but I can say I am so grateful for their help. *Update: turns out there were a few screws/nails in my tire. They were able to patch it all up for me. Never again. LS Tried real hard to rip me off today. I was quoted $105 to mount and balance four tires. When it was time to check out they tried to charge me double. I complained and Erika proceeded to argue with me and threaten to dismount my tires. Les schwab does not need snooty, mouthy women like that working for them. No apology for the absurd number of visits, nor the doubled cost of original quote (though more work was required than original estimate). WOW!! Took my truck in for leveling kit. Later didnt like it, had lower kit put on. Lost my level kit, said I didnt give them tire meters and charge me for new ones. We stopped by on a Saturday and it was packed. We had a slow leak in our Jeep's tire and needed it fixed. We chilled and waited around for a while. At one point we decided to go and eat at a nearby restaurant we noticed our Jeep parked way down at the end of the parking lot. We wondered if it was finished but couldn't get near the front desk to ask. As soon as we left the area and got to the restaurant, they called and said it was ready. Not the end of the world and they were busy but a little frustrating because it had been sitting down there apparently finished for a while. have had lots of work done with Shelton Schwab over the years, spent lots of money on numerous vehicles/trailers, (full lifts rims tires, brakes, tires.) Past few years service has dropped off substantially. Before a long trip to Ca took car in for a check on tires. They rotated tires and said we were good. had a blow out in Northern Ca. All four tires showed wire coming through the tread. Had to buy 4 new tires. A year later took car in for a low tire. Waited 4 hours, to be told it was a "staple" in my tire and its been fixed. Came to pick up the car, low air light was still on. They didn't even check their own work. I told them about the low air sensor still saying tire was low. Another two hours I was told the tire was now completely shot (sidewall) and needed a new one! What happened to the staple story? I like Schwab but wont go to this branch anymore! read more

Took in a flat tire to be repaired. Took about 2 1/2 hours but was free which was nice. Took it back to my husband to put on the car when he saw a huge bulge in the tire which is dangerous. I was very disappointed that they let me with the tire and did not point it out to me, had my husband not caught it, I would've driven on it. Friday, I began to hear noise/squealing from front right wheel assembly. It grew worse as the day went by. From my past experience I was thinking wheel bearing or brake failure. It was late. I was more than a hundred miles from home. I was figuring $200-$500. I waited about 35 minutes, the guy at the counter called me and said they found it. I asked what they found and he told me to hold out my hand, into which he dropped a crushed basalt stone from where the county had chip sealed McCrevey Road near Union. When I asked the cost, he said there were no repairs, only diagnosis, so no cost - and to come in at 50 miles to re torque wheels. I met Korban who did the re torquing. Turns out he was the one working on my car Friday. He explained what he had done and how he had found it. Thanks Les Sschwab. It was a pleasure to meet you Korban! read more

My opinion about the service offered at the Shelton Les Schwab Tire Center has been declining steadily with their service. Recent transactions about new tires on a set that was still plenty serviceable that I didn't see were bad enough, but when they tried to do it to my face , I threw the B.S. Towel down! I brought my Mazda 5 in for a broken valve stem. i was told by the mechanic that it would be $125 to replace the part because it was part of the tire pressure monitoring system. OK, change the valve stem. I get a call back almost before I'm out of the parking lot stating that upon closer examination, the front tires were excessively worn and weather damaged and recommended a new set for the front end at a cost of $369.00. When I discussed this with the service manager , we walked out to the van and physically inspected the tire in question. There were no severe weather cracks in the sides of the tires. The tread wear was certainly not enough to expose the head of a penny, actually the penny went in until nearly his ears were covered, so, no excessive tread wear as claimed. OK, so fix the valve stem and send me on my way. The service manger flat out refused to perform any work on that vehicle that didn't involve the swap out and set up of a pair of new front tires at the cost of nearly $400. So, now my vehicle remains at Les Schwab while I figure out what's next. I did find another garage in town that would replace the stem without insisting on selling me a new pair of tires before he'll work on it. read more

on 6/20 I bought my Hyundai brand new tires from them and the day I got my car back a tire had popped. I was stranded at a gas station and when I called Les schwab I talked to a lady that was completely empathetic about the situation said they were closed come in tomorrow when they open, have a great night, she thought it was funny I was crying. a nice man got it fixed the next morning I was still pissed but felt like everything was okay after that. but now yesterday three weeks later another supposed brand new tire has popped. twice now Les schwab has made me feel unsafe in my car. I have paid over $600 for two out of four tires to fail. I'm pregnant for one and this was terrifying to go through. also this is my transportation for work that I had to lose twice. I'm super disappointed and livid with them I will for sure not do business with them again over this. they had also said the warranty for the tires was almost up and lucky to have come in when we did. but what happens if this happens again? this is their fault and they are lucky I wasn't going faster. I will blame them if this happens again and I lose my child over their carelessnes. read more

I walk up to the counter and tell the person behind the counter that I need a flat repair done...no estimated time was given and 1.5 hours later, my truck has yet to be looked at. I can understand being busy, but at least extend to me the common courtesy of giving me a timeframe for the work to be completed. Went in to have my Les Schwab tire repaired, drove 10 miles down the rode and the tire was flat again. Fixed the flat on the side of busy HWY 101 than drove to the Les Schwab in Tacoma where I was told the patch miss the hole by an inch and seemed mortified a Les Schwab shop had done such shoddy work. When I went back to the Shelton store sand told the girl at the counter what had happened rather than take down any information or try in anyway to get to the bottom of it she shrugged her shoulders and replied "Really?" shrugged her shoulders again "Sorry about that"...with a look on her face that made it clear she did not give a damn. I hate to downgrade a place that had done right by me in the past, but my most recent experience with this store was a "one star". Two stars total seems generous after this bullshit. My vehicle had a power failure just outside of Shelton, and since this Les Schwab store was nearby and I had done business with them before I called them first to see if they would be handle the repair. "No problem, bring it on in" was the response I got over the phone after describing my situation to the technician. After I had been towed here and disconnected from the wrecker, an employee (possibly the same one I had spoken with, but I'm not sure) came out to ask me what the problem was. I described it again and this time the response was "oh, we don't do any electrical work here". Thanks a lot, pal-- this would have been great information to have the FIRST time I contacted you! Luckily the tow truck was still standing by, but this meant that not only did I need to find another shop in town that could do the work pronto, but I was going to have to pay double for the tow. Basically, the guy who answered the phone and told me "no problem" cost me an extra hundred bucks or so, and another hour of wasted time. I suppose I'd still recommend this place if you're nearby and need to get a flat fixed, but I'd steer clear if there are any other problems with your vehicle. read more

I'm not sure what others are complaining about but my family have been using Les Schwab and particular Shelton WA and Warrenton & Seaside OR Non - company stores and have had zero issues with any of them. Since moving to Shelton in 2009 we have continuously used them and received only the highest quality of service and support. Additionally they are willing to work with the community and be involved in community events without question. Anyone that had issues in the past I think it was a fluke. Come try them again because they know their stuff and always respect the customer (aka Their Profit Check)...so I find it hard to read these reviews and wonder what was the real issue. read more

I've only used this store one time. I wanted two tires on the front of my car. I chose what tires I wanted, received a fair price, waited about an hour for a busy day, I didn't think that was bad. When my car was finished the price was a lot higher, so they told me they put four tires on instead of two. They said my others looked worn. They didn't ask me if I wanted four tires, they went ahead and assumed I would be ok with that. Now my hour wait has turned into an hour and a half. Here's the best part, I hand her my credit card, sign the box, leave. Four days later they call me to tell me I haven't paid for my tires. This store's poor management is unreal. read more

We drove to this location from Elma, WA because we were treated badly there. In Elma they quoted us $212.00 to change out the winter tires for summer tires. Two hours later they had not touched our car (even though there was no one else in the waiting room). The Shelton location changed the tires within an hour and charged us $87.00! AWFUL! My car was having issues and had it checked out there. They said nothing was wrong with it. Found out yes there was... a main boot on the steering was shredded and clear as day! Also when they screwed the lug nuts back on you could unscrew them easy with your fingers. I drive my newborn in my car 2 hours a day and had loose lug nuts. Wow. Thanks. Brought my truck in about 6 months ago for a tire rotation. Afterwards the front counter guy told me that my brake pads had only about 25% remaining. I recently decided to change the pads myself about three weeks ago I purchased pads from another outlet and got to work. I pulled the tires and wheel and removed the pads only to discover that they were no where near 75% depleted. In fact they appeared to have more than 50% remaining. There is clearly a discrepancy between what the front counter guy told me and the actual condition of the pads. It pays to check things for yourself or get s second opinion when dealing with these guys. read more
