We were experiencing some play / drifting in our steering with our 2011 Dodge Ram 3500. We had just pulled our 5th wheel from High River, Alberta to Whitefish. We decided best to have it inspected and stopped into Les Schwab on a Friday at noon. With a little bit of a wait, they were able to inspect it and inform us that there was a bit of wear to the tie rod end but nothing that could not wait until we were back home. They suggested we let some air out of the front tires, which they did and sent us on our way with a thank you for coming in and a smile with a handshake. We traveled to MT from KY and noticed we had a tire that was leaking air and couldn't keep it aired up. We came to Les Schwab to get it looked at and they patched it up and had us back on the road very quickly! They also didn't charge us anything for the fix!! We couldn't believe it! The mechanic there refused to swap out my winter tires during their busy season (late November) because I didn't buy them there. They said come back in January or February. It was indeed very busy there but that's why I made an appointment. The desk attendant said it was no problem that I brought my own tires, and I was fine with the price, but I guess I should have specified they were not from Les Schwab? Why that matters, other than the chance for them to sell more tires, is not clear to me. I think I would have been willing to pay a bit more than $85 if that's what it was about. read more

Got a leak in a tire that went flat overnight on a road trip and was on the other side of the country Brought it into Les Schwab without an appointment and they were able to fix me up and get me back on the road and no time- at NO CHARGE! Wish we had Les Schwab in Phoenix, Arizona. Highly recommended. read more

Stopped here to get a tire rotation and they said it would be at least 3 hours before they could get to it because they were really behind. Best bet is to go in the morning so you can get served early. read more

While traveling through the beautiful state of Montana, one of our tires picked up a screw and began a slow leak. I stopped by at their tire store. The fine folks there repaired the tire the way I wanted ( an inside patch). When it came time to settle up, the gentleman told me two words we all love to hear. (No Charge) They were so nice, got us on our way pronto! These nice folks made a wonderful impression on me and represented wonderfully the nice people of Whitefish Montana. Fixed spare fixed flat I asked for new tires and they patched old ones instead the man says he save me some money well tires flat again spare is also flat so far this has cost double the cost of the new tires !! Wife truck was also brought In asked for new tires and new brakes tires went on man said bra are good no need for new ones . few days go by trucks brakes start grinding brakes completely shot once again cost two times as much due to needing rotors and the new shop says brakes were needed repair weeks ago. les Schwab has cost me more in a few months no more trust I'm headed elsewhere! read more

I took a travel trailer tire to Les a Schwab to have a new tire mounted. They had the tire I needed and gave me the price up front before changing it. They also put a new stem on and balanced the new tire. I picked up the tire after they sent me a text message that it was ready for pickup. I'm satisfied with the tire and the service. read more

Extremely impressed. Good Covid protocols by staff. They were able to fit me in with only a 30 minute wait (no reservation) to repair a leaking tire. Turned out to have been caused a roofing nail. Dropped off my truck to have a flat tire fixed. It took over two hours to let me know that I needed the wheel lock. I sat in the office for over an hour and I had to check with them only to be told that they couldn't work on it. The cherry on top was their total lack of consideration of my time. I have been here several times and have yet to have a bad experience. Most recently I walked in needing a new set of tires- I was shown the options, not pressured and my questions answered. Service was friendly, price was reasonable and I was able to get my new tires the same day. I was educated on the maintenance to keep my tires in good condition. My car feels safer. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! I had leaky trailer tires and went to get them fixed from this location..a week later they were both flat. The manager offered me a bullshit excuse as to why they were not fixed properly and was quite stand-offish. Are you willing to die over someone else's screw up? I'm not. In addition to this, they will make up repairs that are unnecessary and hold your car hostage until you pay for their overpriced work and buy tires from them that are marked for 2x what they are worth. They also screwed up the brakes on my coworkers Chevrolet Avalanche-another safety issue. *Edit after Les Schwab Reply My issue was not a unique one. Les Schwab Whitefish screws up again and again with no oversight. This has happened to many people. They only have excuses as to why they continue to put people in danger. I will not submit any information to this local store and will be looking for an attorney to represent me in an endangerment lawsuit on a national level. If anyone has an issue with this please comment and we will figure out a class action lawsuit. In the meantime, AVOID THIS STORE at all costs, it is not worth risking the safety of loved ones and others on the road!!! read more

We were visiting Whitefish MT on vacation and needed a low tire fixed. The staff at Les Schwab were super- very professional and Covid protocols all in place. They had the repair done in an hour (a nail in the tire). Because it was our first visit to Les Schwab they said No Charge for the repair! Wow! This (Whitefish) stores manager ( Sam) needs to have his ass handed to him by corporate, for arguing with customers. Another Schwab store did bad work and went unnoticed for awhile until my tire started to wear. I contacted this (Whitefish) store for the repair. I didn't say the (Whitefish) store did the work, but they took it like I said that, a Schwab store in Bakersfield Ca. Did the bad repair. So the back and forth arguing from Sam and his assistant of how that's not possible theories on how it was improperly repaired started, at one point they blamed it on me (hitting pot holes). They wanted to keep my truck all day, that wasn't going to happen, then they said they couldn't align the front end because my truck was too long for their alignment rack. It took them 10 minutes to fix what was bad so I took my truck to the Columbia falls store, 6 miles away they did the alignment needed from the bad repair. The Columbia falls store took a picture of my truck on their alignment rack which was the same alignment rack, and sent it to the Whitefish store. The Columbia falls store said Sam is a reason they get more work. Save your time money and the threat of an argument avoid the Whitefish store or maybe all les Schwab stores. There are a multitude of choices for tire stores in Montana. read more

We were on a road trip when the brakes on our suv began acting up. We dropped in the Les Schwab to have them check them. The mechanic was so helpful and assured us that our brakes were ok and recommended that we have them checked when we got home. It was reassuring as we were 1,200 miles from home. read more

During my last visit to Les Schwab I was repeatedly disappointed in the quality of service I received. I was told that that repair would take 1-2 hours and then 3-4 hours. It seems that this extra time was necessary because the worker had poor intentions. About one hour into the repair I got a phone call stating that they had broken an ABS wire and would be charging me an extra $150 to fix it. When I went to Les Schwab to discuss this with the mechanic he refused to take responsibility for breaking the wire in the first place and was adamant that I was responsible to pay for his mistake. Not only was this extremely frustrating, but it was not the first bad experience I've had with dishonest workers at this establishment. In years past I had brought in my car for seasonal tire exchange (a free service according to their promotional ads) and was told that they could not switch out the tires because of a bad wheel bearing upon further questioning I realized that the wheel bearing they were referring to was the same one I had gotten repaired elsewhere only a week prior. From both these experiences it is clear to me that Les Schwab tires in Whitefish is only interested in how much money they can scam off of customers. It is telling that their only positive reviews on Yelp were from people out of town. This was my second terrible experience and you can be sure it will be my last. I will not be giving this company any more of my hard-earned money. read more

We were on vacation in Whitefish, MT. at the beginning of July. Our car displayed a low tire pressure warning as we were getting ready to leave town for a long drive home. We asked the server at a local restaurant if she could recommendation for a place to get the tire checked out and she didn't hesitate to direct us to Les Schwab. We called and were told it could be up to an hour, but that they would get us in, so we drove right over. The had us sign in and told us they would call us as soon as they could get us in. No sooner did we sit down and they called us and took the car right in. They had it fixed and ready to go in less than 15 minutes! When we asked how much we owed, the young man told us "nothing". The do tire repairs at no charge! We tried to tip him, and he said "no tips allowed", but you could give us a review if you want. So here it is! Amazing service, super pleasant people and a fantastic experience! We could have been really delayed in getting on the road and instead, we were in and out in about 25 minutes! This would be our tire shop if we lived in Whitefish!! read more

I had come up to Whitefish with my sister to run a Spartan race from Canada the first weekend in May. To our horror after driving through the mountains we noticed our one car tire had a sidewalk bulge in it and would definitely not be taking us back to Canada and would probably burst if we did not address it soon. After checking reviews we chose Les Schwab Tire Center to help us out with our problem. Unfortunately for us, the tires on our car where special order and they did not have any of them in stock. We sat there contemplating how the heck are we ever going to get back to Canada the next day without tires. The manager (Sam I think his name was) was absolutely amazing and we could not have asked for a better person to help us out. He looked high and low to try and locate tires for us (we needed four not just one!) not only at his store, but all the tire stores in the surrounding area. We cannot thank you enough for going above and beyond and helping us find a solution even though it wasn't with your own business. The customer service and all the staff was incredible and really made us feel like we would find tires and it would be ok. I wish we had you guys up here!!!!
