Took my Equinox in to get the front brake pads replaced and rotors resurfaced. After waiting for about an hour, Candice Clark, my Service Advisor, brought my estimate. $2,740.40. Of course it shocked me, but Ms. Clark said don't look at the bottom numbers. That's the total amount for the service that is due because of the 44,000 miles on the odometer. The brake repair is only $1561.60. I asked why replacing the front pads and rotor resurfacing was so expensive. Candice informed me that they #1, don't resurface rotors, they only replace them (how convenient). And #2, they don't just do the front, they do the rear as well (again convenient). That was enough for me. I said "Pull the car around, I'm out of here". 10 minutes later, she came back and told me that I could just have front brakes done but it was still going to cost $649.85 because they won't resurface the rotors.. Ms. Clark's vibe was condescending, disrespectful and unethical. This is where I take my car for everything. Oil changes, tire rotation, regular maintenance but apparently that doesn't matter. I have a Toyota now and it's the best car I ever owned. My family and friends owns Toyota and Honda both are better built and last a very long time. The company and dealership treat their customers better too. You can't go wrong with Toyota or Honda too. They hold their value too. Cars are expensive to buy and I have not had any major repairs also. Both if these companies treat their employees better which means build built cars for you too. You never see them going on strike. Terrible place! I did a nationwide search of corvettes on the Chevrolet website, which showed multiple options throughout the country. I called several dealerships for quotes and was told the price you see online is what you get by all except Les Stanford. The salesman (Zach), told me I needed to send him a picture of my ID to get a quote. He also told me, their advertised price was only a friend's and family discount. He proceeded to tell me that the car was available, but it had several hundred miles on it, and would have to be transported from Florida. He got back to me 24 hours later with a price that was half of the advertised discount, and an extreme amount of attitude. I am disappointed in this dealership's service, as this car was an exact match for what I was looking for. Les Stanford is deceptive, extremely slow, and a terrible place to do business. Suburban Chevrolet Ann Arbor has a BBB rating of "F" and is not accredited. Stay away! I dropped my car for a scheduled service appointment 9/17/2024. It took them eight weeks to fix two things - an exhaust actuator and an oil line. Two other issues didn't get fixed because they couldn't communicate what was actually wrong. When I would call, I got left on hold for 20 minutes before I could speak with someone. I didn't hear from my service rep, Tyler, for eight weeks. Sometimes, I waited 30 minutes to get a non-answer. For weeks, they refused to give me a timeline for when the car would be serviced. They kept telling me they are "backed-up," or a part is on order, they are waiting to hear on a warranty issue, or some other non-specific, non-comital bologna. Over the first six weeks, the Service Department only called me once. Tim, the Manager, only called me after I filed a complaint with the BBB on 10/11/2024. After another week with no communication, a complaint was then filed with the State of Michigan 10/18/2024 for failure to get the work completed. I called 10/21/2024 and spoke with "Chris," he told me the exhaust actuator was in Georgia, there was an oil line that the needed replacement, and they were waiting to hear if the recurrent brake issue would be covered under warranty. I told him to go ahead with the work. (By the way, Tim has no idea who "Chris" is.) Another week and a half went by without an update or work being completed. When I called, 10/29/2024, I was told by a service rep (who didn't give me his name) that Tim, the manager, will call me today to discuss "issues" with the car which he did at 715pm. He was only able to provide a partial update. I repeatedly demanded my car back. He then started calling daily with updates. None of the updates included that any work was being done. Tim called the morning on 10/31/2024 for an update. He said two of the issues that I brought the car in for should be done by early next week. That will make seven weeks to fix an 1) exhaust actuator and 2) an oil line. Seven weeks of my car rotting outside in their service lot. I gave up on the other two issues because I don't think this dealer has any idea what they're doing. Despite Tim telling me the car would be done the week of 11/4, work was not completed. I physically went into the service department 11/9/2024. The service representative refused to give me an update. He wouldn't even tell me if the two parts were in. He told me Tim would call 11/11/2024. For the first time in 8 weeks, on 11/11/2024, my actual service representative, Tyler, called me. He left a message that one of the two parts had been on backorder. (This is the first time that I have been told the any part was on backorder.) The car is supposed to be done 11/13/2024. Tyler called later in the day 11/11/2024 to tell me the work was completed. When I picked-up the car 11/12/2024, it hadn't been washed, and all four tires needed air. The driver's side mirror has a chunk of paint missing. The service receipt for the work that wasn't done didn't correlate with what they told me over the phone. Tim told me front brakes, the receipt said rear??? Chris told me the PDR was working, the service receipt said there was a fault??? No apology after 8 weeks, $2500, and half the work being completed. Also, they wouldn't cover the work or parts from the previous visit for the 4 week service in the spring of 2024 and blamed the issue on me. I will have spent $20K in service in the past two years at Suburban Chevrolet Ann Arbor. I can't believe how badly I've been treated and how poor the communication has been. I gave-up on them doing the other work and will go elsewhere for that. This will be my last time at this dealership - our any Suburban dealership. Once this car is sorted (which I will need to finish elsewhere), I will sell this car and never buy another GM product or give any Suburban dealership my business - ever. Less then 500 miles after owning the car it needed an oil change. Les Stanford told me they would cover the oil change and apologized that it wasn't done. After I submitted the bill I was told for over a month the check was in the mail but never received it. Cutting my losses and I won't be back. Also after leaving a deposit on the car while waiting for the dealer to figure out who had the title for the car I was told by the salesman "multiple other people have test drove and left deposits as well". I can tell you that I have used the Monroe MI dealership since GM closed Saturn down (another wonderful decision that GM is INFAMOUS for doing in its long history). Since I don't live in Monroe any more, I was happy that the owners had a Dearborn location. I was until this visit. Service was TERRIBLE for no reason. I made the appointment online on Monday with a detailed list of what NEEDED to be done: oil change, transmission fluid flush with new filter (as needed every 30,000 miles that those who follow Saturnfan.com know by ), and check the flex pipe that comes from the manifold to the catalytic converter - again the internet wisdom, an oxymoron most of the time. With a stainless steel exhaust system of a Saturn, that pipe will finally wear out after 18 years. Now don't get me started on the hanger used to hold the muffler one, my car is on it 4th. I dropped my car off at 9 am on Thursday when I scheduled my appointment. I should have let that lady in front of me so I would have got Dan as my service advisor since he went above and beyond last time and told me he enjoyed helping us old Saturn owner keep our beloved cars on the road. That was how the advisors in the Monroe dealership were. BIG problem is I got Lenny. Since I couldn't stay at the dealership because it would take longer than an oil change, I asked about a loaner. I was roughly told they had none. When I asked about if they had a rental deal with Enterprise like the Monroe location, I again was told just to walk down the street to ask them. Finally, I was told to just sit in the waiting room and the shuttle driver will call out if any one needs a ride. That is how I got home. I wanted for a call ALL day but finally called them about 4. Lenny had to call me back to tell me it hasn't been looked at!!!!!. Maybe that was because he didn't put time needed and let the computer put 10/11/19 as time needed. I was told it is in the bay and would be looked at in the morning and he would call as soon as it was. To make a long bad story shorter: 1) no call until I had called twice and finally leaving a message that I had to have my car or a loaner if pipe couldn't be repaired today. His call was after 12:00. 2) pipe not fixed because Lenny told me my car is SO OLD that GM no longer makes the part or if they did it would be a couple thousand dollars. So he would give me the name of the muffler place down the block. 3) GM does still makes the part but has the catalytic converter attached and their part website will sell it to me for $692. He didn't even check and I know dealership gets a discount and the labor time to drop that pipe and converter would be less than 40 minutes since I have done that on other cars. 4) My car's age effected Lenny's level of service because it affected what he thought. I should have been offered the option no matter the cost of having the dealership do the work with GM parts. Car was even louder than when I left it. If it had been looked at on Thursday morning and I was told that it could be up to $800 to put it back in shape, I would have said YES. You don't get a car to 274,904 miles by being cheap on repairs. Saturn SL1 that are taken care of will easily get over 300,00 miles. I have had the car over 15 years and with no car payment for 11 years, money well spent. I can't just take it to Monroe dealership now since school starting. Yelp will help with a muffler shop, but that should not be happening if Lenny did his job like others I have dealt with over the years. Avoid him when you take your car here if you do now. read more

Do not buy a used Corvette from Les Stanford Chevrolet. I purchased a 2013 Corvette 427 with 3,105 miles on the vehicle. I had to put a new clutch/master cylinder in the car at 3,400 miles. I paid top dollar for a low milage Corvette 427 and drove it very conservatively. The extended warranty I bought from them of course doesn't cover a clutch or any wear items. I also had to replace the tires as they were manufactured in 2012 and started to dry rot (I should have asked the manufacture date prior to purchase). Out of pocket about $8,200 on a car I put 300 miles on since delivery. Let the Buyer Beware. Les Stanford Chevrolet went silent after I asked for any assistance they could provide. First let me say that I have had very few good experiences with purchasing new vehicles from dealers. I have always dreaded a new vehicle purchase, because the dealer experience is almost always bad. I ordered a 2020 Corvette in August of 2019 from Les Stanford. Brandon Genovese was my salesman and i was very excited to get the new Corvette. With both the GM strike and COVID 19 impacting the amount of vehicles that could be produced for the 2020 model year, I ended up having to wait and get A 2021. None of these issues could be fixed by Les Stanford, but Brandon and James Quinn made the situation the best that it Could be for me. These two Les Stanford sales team members, made this purchase process very good and genuinely cared about helping me make this purchase a great experience. I picked up my new Corvette yesterday and I just can't say enough good things about how Brandon and James made the long journey of getting this car to me a special experience. These two, and the others I met at Les Stanford were all good people. I am now actually looking forward to using the service department for Maintenence and I will certainly be looking at what next vehicle I might purchase there would be. Tried to purchase a used vehicle working with Cory for 3 weeks just to end with them saying they "plan to wholesale it" based on issues "found when certifying " after being told it was certified from the start. 3/25- Spoke with Cory after discussing about trade-in. I am writing this review as I am planning my last trip with my "Batmobile" before the baby has to go into storage. It made me realize I never reviewed Les Stanford.. the "Corvette King". It's very simple; I have nothing but good things to say about Les Stanford and Kevin, our sales representative. I say "our" but he is really my husbands sales rep. Kevin helped my husband surprise me with my dream car. Literally, Dream Car. The car I have wanted since I was a little girl now sits in my driveway and I get to drive it whenever the weather permits. How incredibly lucky am I!? Like the pain in the butt I am, I sortof ruined my own surprise and found out.. BUT I was still super surprised. The finance guy and Kevin really went above and beyond to help my husband get the car and plan the surprise which was awesome. A young man helps you to your car on delivery and this kid is amazing. He helps you with all the gadgets and buttons and he knows how to use everything. Had a very good experience. Do yourself a favor and ask for James Quinn. He got me set up in a new Malibu and he worked VERY hard for me to get something within my price range. He was able to work the numbers and got me a good deal on trade in by working with GM. Vehicle wasn't on the lot but he was diligent in getting my car there in a good timeframe. I can't stress enough how hard James worked. When it came time to signing the contract he answered every question and broke it down without any tricks. Very satisfied with the price overall but APR could have been better, but so could my credit. Got some sweet floor and trunk covers because of the Chevy rewards. Overall easy experience! I spoke with Michelle, a representative from the dealership, this morning. While she was empathetic and apologetic, when I asked her why I should go back to Les Stanford over a different dealership I've had far superior experience with in the past, she couldn't offer me a concrete reason. I wasn't provided justification to give my vehicle, money, and time to them again. There was a nebulous offer of a discount if I should go back to them. She also suggested the name of a competent employee I could request. There was no mention of a refund for the car rental or the egregious charge for labor on the check engine light. I told her I would consider it, and I have. I won't be returning to Les Stanford under any circumstance. I want them to know that Lenny has cost them a customer and I am more than happy to spend the over $1,000 in needed parts and labor for my vehicle at Dick Genthe Chevrolet in Southfield, as well as all future service I need on this vehicle for maintenance and to get it ready for resale. I brought my car here to get the locks fixed. While they did fix them, the employee was so incredibly rude to me I would never come back. My locks were continuously locking themselves over and over. I went in and explained this to them and they looked at me like I had three heads and then asked "sweetie are you sure you aren't just driving over potholes". Yes, I think I know the difference between the noise the locks make and driving over a bump, thanks. I am a woman in my early 20's and I do not know much about cars but they treated me like I was completely stupid. He agreed to drive it around a bit to see if it would do it for him and was obviously incredulous. Later he called me to tell me that they were surprised I was actually right and they would look into it. A HUGE thanks to their sales manager Russ Baltazar, and their Internet sales manager Erik Hibbard. This was my first car I was getting on my own without a co-signer, and my credit is not the best. They worked with me, got me a car that I not only could easily afford, but I wanted! Even with great features that I never had before. I have been loyal to another dealership but was weary after the service with my last car, so I went here. Even went to my old dealership again for my most recent car, and they couldn't get my payments close to what Les Stanford Chevrolet did. The entire experience was fast , and I never felt like they were just out to get a sale. The little, personal touches stood out as well. I will only lease a car from here from now on. I have not received my car yet. I am still paying insurance on the car; I am making car payments on the car; I received a letter from GM stating that my trial Onstar is about to expire on this car, the car I still don't have. I spoke to Senior V.P. Weston Stanford today and he says the car is finally at Crest Chevrolet in San Bernardino & will be available for pick up on Friday 08/24/18. He refused to give me any consideration whatsover for waiting 17 weeks for a car that I was quoted 8-10 weeks delivery on; he refuses to give me any consideration for the insurance, licensing & $101,000 payment his company insisted upon back on 07/26/18. All this has cost me well over $1200 for the month I started making these payments on a car I do not have, all due to Les Stanford & their mistakes, and lies. If you look above, Michelle Hughes of Les Stanford has promised that if I wasn't pleased with the outcome, I would get a full refund. She now states that she wrote that thinking the car hadn't been licensed in my name yet. These people have an answer for everything, typical sleazy car sales people. I asked Mr. Stanford for a full refund today and his head exploded. He yelled & yelled, filibustering me by continuing to rage and not letting me get a word in to the conversation, screaming like a spoiled rich kid, (which he probably is). These people will rip you off, never ever take your car that is not under warranty to a dealership to get something simple fixed ! Window on our Corvette wouldn't work, $500 and not even a car wash after! PS Also had it almost 2 weeks!! Screw these people, oh and the key fob does not unlock, only locks so we had them look at it after we heard what they were going to charge we said no thank you and they charged us for diagnosis! read more

I give this dealership 5 stars because of the salesperson named Telicia Zanders. Telicia did a wonderful job at helping me get the vehicle I wanted. Telicia was able to locate the vehicle and make sure I was comfortable. She reviewed the contract with me line by line and answered any questions I had. Telicia is very knowledgeable about Chevrolet vehicles, features, finance, and maintenance. She made the experience wonderful for my first time. After I received my car and had it for a few days Telicia called me to follow up to make sure everything was ok. I am very pleased with her professionalism and the service I received. read more
