The trailer ended up having many issues and I only kept it for 8 months and used it once and I had to pay $1,600 for repairs and not one of them was covered by the plan. I traded the trailer in with Unchartered Recreation and went to Leisureland on 12-2-24 and cancelled. At that time Katie told me it would be 6 to 8 weeks before I would receive the refund. Long story short after many many calls to Leisureland about where the refund is and one excuse after another I finally called the warranty company who told me the refund was $1,152.68. They told me Leisureland had the refund and they should be giving me the check. I paid $2,100 for the plan. Katie tried to tell me the check was sent to the bank to which I said I have all the paperwork to prove the trailer is paid off as it was a trade in and they said they sent the check to the bank anyway,. Next step I go to the bank with all my paperwork and by now it is March talked with them and they informed me the loan was paid off the beginning of December so they have no info on receiving any check and if they did receive it they would have returned it to Leisureland as they would have no place to post it, as the trailer was paid off. They told me to go to Leisureland and get a copy of the letter they sent along with a copy of the cancelled check as they have NO record of it Back to Leisureland and after almost 5 months I have no money and no copy of the letter or check they supposedly sent to the bank I would never deal with them again, they talk a lot about honesty and integrity but in reality there is no such thing with this company. I guess I will be taking them to small claims court as it is my money they are holding and its a pretty black and white situation. Theresa Butz

They told me the roof badly needed scraped and resealed, there was a leak in the bathroom sink pipes, and a crack in our fresh water tank. I wanted to get through the season so I parked it for the winter and used it all summer 2025. Just took it back to be winterized September 23rd 2025 and MIRACULOUSLY, the roof was in good shape, there was NO leak in the bathroom, and the fresh water tank had NO crack. DON'T GO THERE!! They are dishonest and try to take advantage of people.

Shelby told us to get the RV towed in and he would take a quick look to see if he could determine our problem. I brought my travel trailer in to Bear's shortly before Memorial Day to put it on consignment, and the first problem was the $1k gap between the initial price Jeff gave me and the price he then offered when I got the trailer there in person. I understand there was some reconditioning that needed to be done but this was contemplated in the initial quote he gave me. But fine... I was ready to move forward anyway. Jeff gave me a laundry list of fixes he was going to make to get my trailer ready to sell and I was excited thinking he'd get right on it and sell it in a hurry. Boy, was I wrong. The trailer sat for over a month in the same spot I had parked it and I never heard from Jeff why or when he was planning to work on it. I periodically asked him for updates, to which he provided vague promises and delivered no action. Fast forward another 1+ month and I was finally fed up. I went to pick up my trailer and told Jeff I'd gladly pay for any reconditioning he did so I could sell it on my own, and was amazed to see that he had done basically NOTHING. I got the trailer home and sold it on my own in a matter of 3 days and am kicking myself for not doing it much sooner. Bottom line... I think Bear's has some good pricing on the RV's they do sell (thus the 2 stars) so I might consider buying from them in the future, but I would never put another unit on consignment there.

Both transactions were well managed and we were treated fairly. We plan to have this motorhome for several years, but when it is time to trade, we will go back to Bear's. We found their inventory to be high quality and their after purchase advice and assistance excellent. Bear's does have a service department, but they do have a network of service providers who have assisted us with modifications and accessories. Jeff and Chris worked to make sure we were satisfied with our transactions and assisted us in determining the units that met our needs and made suggestions that saved us money.
