I was attempting to trade my fifth wheel in and purchase a truck camper, I was upfront and honest, shared my sales listing to their sales team. I disclosed that the roof needed replaced and was told the offer reflected that. The sales team pushed for their verbal agreement with a deposit and I insisted on making sure they put eyes on it prior to signing anything. I drove my whole family out with my fifth wheel and after ten min was told the roof needed replaced and they didn't want it. I would never purchase from this place again. Bought an Icon golf cart in May of 2024. They never seated the wheels correctly and the parking brake needed adjusting thus had to be brought back to be fixed. When I got it back I was told they no longer sold Icon and thus they wouldn't be able to handle warranty work anymore. Would have been nice to know that before they sold it to me. I am now selling the golf cart and the person who wanted to buy it wanted to know if it was street legal so I called Unchartered Recreation for help answering. Person I finally spoke with said I should call the DMV and was too lazy to look it up. 2 hours later I get a message from the buyer of my golf cart that he called Unchartered Recreation and had them look it up and it's not street legal. No problem because I have a backup buyer but WTF did they give him the info and not me???? This place is horrible and I will tell anyone I know to steer clear. read more

We purchased a new 2025 15MBX 6 months ago and we're enjoying the trailer experience with 5 trips. Last trip found passenger side leaf spring went bad. Brought in for warranty repair before our next trip2 weeks later no answers. Looked into renting a trailer as they don't offer loaner and decided to purchase a new bigger trailer from someone else. As other reviews say, staff and owner was very respectful and polite. I'm sure if your buying from them they may be a 5 star, but our issue was with the shop, as follows... We took our motorhome in there because the jacks kept slowing falling. They kept it for 2 months, replaced one jack for $2100 at $195 hour shop rate. They said they all work fine now. They did not!! We took it back into them again, as they said they'd make it right. They kept it for another 1 1/2 months and no word or calls. Finally I called them. They said they couldn't find any parts to fix it. We just went and picked it up and brought it home still broken. read more

We stopped by Uncharted Recreation to just look and see what they had available in used campers. We had seen a couple of their used RVs posted online; and -- although we were mainly going in with the intent of 'looking' and 'dreaming' -- after Parker got an idea of what we were looking for, he told us of a newer used RV that had just come in (we were looking at a 2014 and wound up with a 2022 that just arrived on the lot). It turned out to be a deal we couldn't pass up! Parker took the time to listen and understand what would be a good fit for us -- not only in price range, but in what we wanted in an RV. Working with Parker and then Eddy, who handled the paperwork, additional options and financing portions, was a real pleasure! Eddy was thorough in explaining things... being patient and clear when answering our many questions! It was easy to sense that Uncharted Recreation runs their company with integrity. We have a travel trailer that needs a new vent fan for our stove. Hoping to find a part at Uncharted Recreation, we asked Dougie about it and he said no, they don't sell parts but directed us into another direction that was much better for us. Then we started to talk and ask him some general questions, learn a little about our trailer, a little about the town, he was a very nice guy and helpful although he knew we weren't going to be spending money that day. Well we left with his card and will keep him in mind for the future because when you meet a salesman who is not all about the sale but building a relationship with customers that is rare and something to appreciate. Customer service doesn't end with the sale. My boyfriend bought a brand new trailer about 2 months ago. Unfortunately, it has been with the service department already and they have had it for 2 weeks with nothing done. Lots of talk but no action. It's very frustrating to see someone trust a local company and go with local (when they are many options out there) and get treated so poorly. It was an expensive trailer and he definitely could have chosen else where, very frustrated. Not sure what we would have done if we had a tripped planned soon. Not a campy camper. read more

Had a Real Lite palomino pop up camper. Needless to say camper was a bad purchase. Finally decided to go all in on a new toy hauler. Went to a bunch of RV dealers in the Boise area. None of the dealers seemed to really have a toy hauler that would hold my Rzr. Just happened to go into uncharted recreation out of curiosity. The salesperson, named Colby was really helpful, mainly his vast experience in motor sports and RVs. Uncharted worked very fairly to take my real lite camper in as a trade. Very little games that you normally run into. Colby showed only three toy haulers that he thought would work for me. After a lot of measuring to make sure I was comfortable with my choice of toy haulers. I bought a 2019 Heartland Fuel F250. Colby went even further by writing up the sales that if my Rzr didn't fit to my liking deal was off. Being that the Fuel was a year older there was some cosmetic work that needed to be touched up. One major issue was the bathroom door had a softball size hole in it. Uncharted promise to replace the door. They also promised a spare tire. All this was in November. They alwAys kept in touch with me for up dates. In December my spare tiree came in. I picked it up and noticed the rim was the wrong size. They again followed through and got me a brand new spare, they also got a brand new bathroom door. They even delivered the door to my RV and installed it , rather than making me hook up the RV from my storage. From Colby to Nick and Luke they all made me happy I choose to trust a small RV business instead of the big with full of run arounds regrets. I appreciate their way of dealing and keeping promises. How many times have you ever been issued a full refund of your deposit and the Manager had a smile on his face when he gave it back to you? Rob, the owner, said on our initial contact that his major objective was to find the coach for me that fit, and fit at a price I would feel comfortable paying. We settled on a Wildwood 277BHS, a really nice coach, and we negotiated (peacefully I may add) a price acceptable to both of us, including my trade in...however, after a few days thought, I brought my tape measure over to check a few details and discovered that the coach I had selected would not, in the end, accommodate my needs...Rob couldn't have been nicer about it, and simply said "keep coming back, they change 'em all the time!"...all in all a "5 star" experience! So I am not sure what is going on with businesses anymore. Seems like everyone thinks customer service ends with a sale. My wife and I were super excited to pick up our brand new Kodiak 2921FKDS trailer that we purchased here at Uncharted. This is our 2nd trailer purchase from them. Again the sales staff were great and friendly and I think they were fair on trade in. We picked up the trailer on 4/16/2022 and did a walk through with them and all looked great. Even though I have owned several trailers in the past and I'm familiar with the operation of one the still showed us how the slides worked, how to turn on and off the appliances etc. my wife and I took some time off this week and we were going to head out on Thursday for a long weekend. I had my trailer plugged into my home like I have done with all previous campers we have owned and went out on my lunch break at noon on Monday and turned on the refrigerator. Fast forward to yesterday, trailer has been plugged in a little over 48 hours and the refrigerator doesn't seem to be working. I call uncharted and got transferred to whom I believe is the shop manager. I tell him right from the start this isn't my first trailer and I have owned previous ones and know how they work. He goes into explaining that they need to be plugged in a while before they get cold. Yes Trevor, I know this. This isn't my first trailer. It's been plugged in over 48 hours. While walking me through a few checks he asked me several more times when did I plug it in, are you sure you plugged it in then, it has to be plugged in for a while you know. By now I'm irritated because I feel I am being accused of being a liar and I fully admit I did not hide my frustration. I do NOT like being talked down to and or being accused of being a liar. I just said screw it, I'll bring it down tonight and drop it off. I was then informed it isn't that easy, I have to "schedule" an appointment. Ok, fine, when can I get it in? Friday at 11am was the answer. Ok fine, I'll drop it off tomorrow night then and was told NO! Now I quote exactly what he says "I'm trying to get rid of trailers NOT collect them" so now I realize in order to get service it will require taking a day off from work to get it looked at and again I fully admit I didn't hide my frustration. He then says fine, drop it off tomorrow night then and leave keys. Please tell me where there is any customer service there. I used to be in sales and service for 20 plus years and I understand sometimes things are out of your control but here is where CUSTOMER SERVICE comes into play and you show some empathy maybe and you try to go the extra mile. He failed big time. So I call my salesman just to let him know due to his service department I will no longer doing business with them. All he kept saying is let me get you to the manager so we can try to come to a solution and I told him not to bother I have already made up my mind and besides he is the one that transferred me to Trevor. I could not believe what the salesman said next and again I quote word for word "So your just calling to complain? Thanks for ruining my day" REALLY? So yea, if you want a fair trade in on a trailer these guys are the place to go but pray after you take your trailer home you never need them again! read more

Wow!! Talk about a smooth transaction. I was calling around to consignment lots attempting to have them sell my RV and I ran across these guys on a Google search. Knowing the value of my RV, I was pretty insulted when the big guys in town were offering me about 65% of its value IF they could sell it. They obviously were going to list it higher and pocket 25-35%. After a five minute phone call with Rob, the owner, he made me an offer upwards of 85% and actually bought it straight from me!!
