I use this Leslie's for all of my pool needs and have had great experiences. but this review has nothing to do with my pool. I came out of the hair salon next door heading to my car. My key remote misfunctioned causing my alarm to set off. I couldn't get to the battery in my remote so I ran into Leslie's. I was greeted by Kimberly, the General Manager, quickly explained my predicament. She so graciously offered to help me with the remote. This amazing woman spent 45 minutes in all assisting me. She walked me out to my car and assured that I was able to bypass the alarm and start the car (the remote could not be fixed). I was awestruck by her pleasant and kind attitude. Decent location. Rude employees... they only want to sell you stuff, not necessarily help you learn to minimize problems, and clearly returns are not a simple option. We've been a customer here for a few years to maintain two pools. For supplies and repairs we pay a few hundred every month. Don't like how I'm treated by young man working morning/afternoon shift and have taken our business to a place where prices are much better and service is ample. They bought out Shasta Pools, good or bad, we'll limit our visits here to warranty stuff. read more

I used to think this was a good store, but not anymore. Maybe there has been too much employee turnover, but the service here now is very poor. Anyway, most of the time in the last few months, I get the response, "my computer is down and I can't do anything, please come back another time". I have left water samples there with no response, I try to call back and nobody picks up. I have given this store many opportunities to redeem themselves, but they keep falling down. BEWARE!!! If i could give 0 stars in this review, I would. On 04/14/23, I took our Hayward pool vac which wasn't moving. The part was replaced - we paid $180 for part and labor. A week ago we experienced the same issue. Called store at Warner rd and manager tried To convince us that it was not the part that is the issue even though my bf and my pool guy told me so. She was unprofessional and told us there was nothing she could do even though the repair was done a little over two months ago. We expected better customer service and guidance. We did not have a chance to ask about warranty because the manager hung up on us. Will lot use again. read more

First I would have given this store a negative star if I could. I have never left any reviews on any businesses good or bad services in the past, but I could not be silent from the extremely poor service I received today. Kim the general manager was rude after I gave her feedback on opening the store on time at 9am. I arrived a few minutes early before the store opened. I waited patiently after 9am, but the lights were still off and no one in sight. I called the store and no one answered. It was 9:10 and another customer arrived just to wait with me. I called customer service to inquire why the store hasn't open. Finally at 9:12am Kim opened the doors to let us know she was having network issues and couldn't test our water. I was still on the line with customer service and asked Kim if I could leave my pool cleaner to be told that it wouldn't be looked at until Friday, today is Tuesday. We had a normal conversation to troubleshoot my cleaner issues and we were talking normally. As I was leaving I suggested next time she should open the store at 9am even if there was a network issue so customers would not have to wait. She did not like that and said I was there earlier before the store opened. I told her that is my point, if she saw me and noticed me waiting all this time why not just let me know so I could leave? Kim said there was no reason for me to call customer service to complain. I told her she should have open the store on time. As I was still talking to her she turned to the other customers in line to ask them if she could help them. I blurted "bi*ch" as I exited the location. Then I went back inside to ask for her name. She covered up her name tag and told me she doesn't have a name. I said, "Really you're not going to give me your name?" Kim said, "Nope there's no reason for you to complain." I told her I'll just call her district manager and she said she's looking forward to hearing from me. She was rude and condescending. So Travis her district manager called me. I explained the situation and my frustration. He was apologetic and understanding. I gave him her description and told me her name is "KIM" and she is the general manager. He told me he would talk to Kim as her actions were unacceptable. We both agreed that if Kim had nothing to hide then she wouldn't have covered her name tag. read more

Called this afternoon about a part and Kim was very helpful over the phone and said she would look in the warehouse and call me back. When I arrived to the store age was helpful in answering and searching online for other parts needed. All in all my experience exceeded my expectations. I would select a 0 star if I could, this used to be my favorite location but it went downhill with the new management. The employee Jacob was cool! Kim the store manager was terrible. I was having issues with my pool vacuum not working so I brought it in to have it inspected. It's the very old school Hayward vacuum. It wasn't in the best condition I understand that. Anyways I got a call from the store manager KIM saying that she was able to fix it and that it would be ready to pick up. Came to the store to pick it up and KIM says that it was a piece of junk and that she pretty much rebuilt everything. She said labor was free but she will have to charge me for all the parts which came out to $160. If I would've known it would've costed that much I would've just got a new vacuum. It is what it is. Brought the vacuum home and it still wasn't working. Called the store manager and spoke with KIM and had asked for a refund and that I can bring everything back and she said no refund because I had left the store happy. I don't know what is going on her f'd up head but that vacuum was not fixed. We argued for a bit and then I said I will contact the district manager and she then said will talk to them. I got a call from Kim a few days later saying that the District Manager has agreed to refund me $100 in store credit and that it should take a few days to be in my account. 2 weeks later and still nothing and that's when I know she lied. That's when I contacted the district manager name Kevin, it was so nice and told me that Kim should've gave me an price option and that he will talk to her and I will be getting a full refund. I went to the store a few days later and Kim was working, nothing but attitude coming from her and she said "did Kevin tell you that you have to buy a new vacuum because since you are getting a full refund for this vacuum?" I was like nope, I spoke with Kevin, I told him the entire true story and that I had to buy a vacuum from OfferUp already and that I'll be gladly to call Kevin again. She said forget it and that GM are always changing things around. Then she said she will need all the original parts back and the receipt which I did have with me in the car even though Kevin said the only thing I needed was to bring my Card so they can credit me. I just have Kim the vacuum and all those parts and that she can keep all those other parts that is mines. I don't have a need for them. I said I didn't want this to be a hassle and then she stopped me and said "I don't want to hear it, I don't want to talk about it" attitude tone and proceeding to give me a refund and I said thank you and she did not say a single word. What kind of service from a store manager is that? Yeah you got a lecture from Kevin GM because you are a shitty manager that likes to rip off your customers and think you can get away with it so you deserve to be put on blast. read more

I recently moved into a house with a pool. I have never had a pool before and was overwhelmed because the prior tenants left the pool a disgusting mess! I couldn't have asked for a better person to help me! Daniel made sure I knew exactly what to do to clean up the pool. He was very patient and made sure I left the store knowing exactly what I needed to do. I have had to come in quite a few times due to my lack of knowledge and even though I know I am driving Daniel crazy you wouldn't know it! He is ALWAYS nice, patient and doesn't make me feel like I am being rushed when the store is busy! I will definitely be coming back and will recommend Daniel and his store to everyone I know! read more

Brian and AJ both help me get my pool vac back online. The machine was not operating properly (flipping over and staying there). These guys made suggestions to eliminate that from happening again - swap hose sections, move hose float to a different location on the hose among others). Bottom line their suggestions worked and my pool vac is working perfectly. Best of all there was no cost! I've shopped at this Leslie's store for years, and wouldn't think of going anywhere else for my pool related needs - good guys, good service. read more

Eh, its a big store full of pre packaged pool care items so the products are fine, but for the love of all things good and holy please go to another Leslie's to buy your backyard water hole supplies! The customer service at this place is astounding, and not in the gives you warm fuzzies way. The sales folk will flat out lie to you about the products they sell either out of commission lust or utter bewilderment about the items in the store and how they work. I recently went in to buy a $200+ piece of equipment with one and only one question: Does this unit have parts that I will need to replace at certain time intervals (ie every year) and was assured up and down with a little tap dance that no Ma'am, the price you pay now is all you'll pay for this lovely thing, it slices, it dices, it makes Julian eggo margaritas! Well when I get the thing home the manual states that I can expect $50 a year in replacement proprietary battery packs and sensors, but the thing was written in English and not slimy sales-ees so perhaps he just thought the included paper was a napkin and wiped his drool with it rather than actually reading it. Against my better judgement I go back today for some chemicals and ended up leaving with nothing except a vague feeling I should be glad I wasn't sent to my room. After wandering the store for about 10 minutes and watching the clerk watch tv in the back I finally find half of what I'm looking for and pace back and forth in front of his hideout hoping he'll get the hint and ring me up. When he finally glances up he makes the mistake of asking if I need anything else... and hey I do, so what better time to speak up! I tell him I need some pool conditioner, and he suggests I bring in a water sample. While the store is not infested with roaches or naked babies or drug cartel mafia it's still not exactly what I'd call my type of hangout, and if I can avoid spending my free time chumming it up at Leslie's I'd like to, so I let him know I'd just like to know where they keep the stuff. Still, with a strong father knows best Daddy Pool Pro tells me I'm not quite ready for that information and he'll tell me what I need to know when I'm older (and bring in a water sample). I've always heard that the third time is a charm so I give it another go, this time relenting that a poor misinformed lass like myself probably shouldn't buy this product I came in to buy, but golly gee I sure would at least like to know the name of the stuff so maybe when I'm not barefoot in the kitchen I can learn me some about it. Luckily my weakness for knowledge was detected by my hero and Daddy swooped in to save the day again with the reassurance in his voice almost as palpable as a patronizing pat on the head. No No dear, Don't worry your pretty little head about it. At that point I told dad I didnt need to borrow the car that night, and he could expect to be put in a cheap retirement home in mexico for his golden years. ;) Really tho folks, treating your paying customers like children and withholding information about your products is the quickest way to bolster your database of ex-customers. It would help if your employees knew a bit about the products they sell and didn't overtly lie to make a quick buck, but with service like this place has I'm guessing they have a lot more to worry about. read more

I have received the best service and advise from this store. The manager hs gone well beyond my expectations in helping me with parts and chemicals. I have a local pool and one in Mexico and Brian has saved me valuable time saving ways to solve my problems. Thanks for all your help. read more
