The chicharron had a great flavor but the "skin" wasn't that crispy and had a chewy texture. The flan wasn't that sweet and had more of a vanilla extract flavor. I didn't care for it. Overall, the food was disappointing. However, the ambiance was very lively and featured live music. The waitress wasn't the greatest. I asked for water, but she gave us a bottle of water instead - which I found out later was $4! It wasn't a fancy brand of water either. I would have appreciated a heads up that there was a cost for water, especially since tap water is usually provided for free at most restaurants. Double check your bill. An automatic 20% tip was added to the receipt (it wasn't disclosed to us), and we were not part of a group.

Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.
