I enjoyed this food truck earlier in the week a lot more than I expected to! I visited the StrEat Food park near Costco earlier in the week, and was hoping for something from one of my favorite trucks- but to my dismay, they were out of what I was seeking. So I approached a busy, 'Let's Eat' truck, which I had never seen before, as my 'plan B'. Well, after ordering, my 'plan B' turned into a 'plan A'! They featured a nice diversity of items, including fried chicken, salmon sandwiches, burgers, and other items. I went for the grilled marinated chicken sliders, and crossed my fingers. Well, they were EXCELLENT. I received after a short wait to well-dressed sliders in lightly toasted wheat buns. The chicken was marinated very nicely, and dressed with an avocado spread, tomatoes, pesto, onions and arugula. They were delicious, and for $8, the value was there. This was my first time seeing this truck, and I don't know what their schedule is like, but this successful meal surely earned my trust for a future visit! I always see the truck at Tam Junction when i drive home and always wonder about the food. Well this time I actually tried it when i went to the street food truck park near Costco. $10 for the fish tacos, a little bit of a wait but WELL worth it. My container was stuffed and the fish tacos were crispy and hot and moist. Tomatoes seasoned, tortilla's fried. FANTASTIC!!! I couldn't eat them all i was full by the second one. Fish tacos: a solid 5-star, deep fried cod (? not sure, but it was white fish) with tomatos and other veggies with yummy sauce explosion drizzled on top. Comes with THREE giant tacos. Garlic scallion fries: a solid 5-star, have never eaten something like this before. Not your average baseball field garlic friends. Thick cut steak fries come drizzled with generous amount of chunks of garlic and scallion and the magic sauce. I can eat it everyday. read more

I'll start with the food: Served cold, and overpriced. Competing food trucks at the SoMa streat Food Park range from 8-12 bucks, The average here for a drink and soda is about 16. The service was super slow. There was one customer in front of me, and it took 3 people in the truck a few minutes to even greet me. After I was greeted, I ordered and as I was handing the dude my cash, he said "It'll take 10 minutes to cook the chicken". I was like "Ok?". 15 minutes later, a line had formed behind me and other customers were starting to ask me if I had ordered. Keep in mind, there were no customers in front of me at that point - so 3 people literally spent 15 minutes processing my order. I responded to the questions behind me, I was like "these guys are slow" - The workers in the food truck got mad, and disagreed. I was like "you told me 10 minutes, its been 15". They handed me my order, and even forgot my fries. How they forgot my fries I have no idea. What a train wreck. With service so slow, prices so high and with such inefficiency's in their system, I don't think this food truck is going to be around very long. read more

I'm giving this place a four but I guess it feels more like a three to me personally, but I can definitely see how it's pretty appealing in the world of food trucks. I ordered the fried chicken which was $8. I expected a few pieces of fried chicken--similar to what you would get at KFC, but boy was I wrong. My fried chicken turned out to be three delicious chunky pieces with quite the elaborate, decorative salad on the side. The portion was HUGE. I easily could have eaten it for both lunch and dinner. It was appetizing enough that a few people actually walked over and asked where I had gotten it--hopefully that gives you an idea of how well presented the food was. Can't see myself going back to this place just because I like going for light lunches, but it's definitely a solid option if you're craving something really filling. read more

I went to the Soma food truck court and after having a very bad experience at the Old World Food Truck and talking to this owner relaying my experience he said he would make sure I was not disappointed by his truck and sure enough I was not. The owner took fried chicken and really elevated the dish. He served the chicken with a sweet chili cilantro sauce and a bed of well dressed spinach and tomatoes with crumbled blue cheese. The chicken was also crispy on the outside and moist on the inside and not oily. This was definitely restaurant quality food at a food truck. The first time I came to this food truck we decided to try the garlic fries. The garlic fries were ok and could of been better. Maybe more garlic and fried less. I tasted better garlic fries so I was not impressed. Second time, my boyfriend wanted some fried chicken and we saw this truck so we decide to try their fried chicken to go. When we get to the my boyfriend and one our of friends decides to try a piece of chicken. My boyfriend doesn't like spicy food so I wish it was implied that the chicken was little spicy therefore he wouldn't have bought it. He wouldn't described this chicken as being fried which started the endless disppointment. The flavor was closely described as jerk chicken ( I disagree because jerk chicken especially from Jamaica is amazing). Our friend describes is lack of great seasoning and the chicken seem like has been refried. So I didn't get a chance to taste this chicken until 2 day after we went to the this truck. I was impress of the little salad that I could have done without. I tasted the chicken and I don't know what it was but I didn't like it. The flavors were all wrong. While the cod po'boy was tasty, it was poorly thrown together and very messy to eat, with the fillings falling out with every bite. The garlic fries serving was just swimming in oil, and the potatoes themselves were undercooked. Also, probably the slowest food truck I've ever been to: I got skipped over twice due to miscommunication in the truck, and my order ended up taking about twenty minutes when I was originally assured eight (and, no, there were not a lot of customers at all). I also paid $15 in cash and got change as if I gave them a twenty (yes, I returned the excess change). I realize they have a high rating, but my experience was very disappointing. They catered the food for an event I attended and the food was not great. I guess they loss use of propane to cook with several days before the event because their truck was in a car accident. They BBQ'd the food and it was very average at best. Hamburgers: onion jam, bacon and cheese. They ran out of onion jam and cheese was just grated cheese served in a bowl. No melted cheese on burger, what! Chicken thigh meat with cilantro: was served with pico de gallo and romoulade sauce. Hot links: cut up in slices and cooked to the point that we could not recognize what they were. Green salad: yikes, it was hot mess. Over dressed and wilted. Food was to be served from 12:00-3:00 and no was ready until 2:15. Vegetarian option: wilted green salad with grated cheese. I am sure their food is better when they don't BBQ but this does explain overdressed wilted salad, over cooked hot links and cold cheese burger. read more

Ok - a couple of things to what looks like the owner who was running the truck: 1) Don't say 10mins when a burger is going to take 17 mins (I timed it) 2) The burger was good but greasy - not juicy - the two should not be confused. 3) You got my order wrong - you confirmed no cheese during the order, I could see you wrote it down right then you asked with at the 11 minute mark "without cheese right?" and I still got cheese. 4) Wash you hands before touching the food - I am sure that is some sort of violation 5) You only have 3 things on the menu but yet there still seems to be lots of confusion about orders and numbers etc... 6) There are literally 6 people working in your truck and you seem to always be sorta yelling at them 7) You also seem to be yelling out orders - but you have given customers a number stub. You also seem to be unnecessarily yelling and causing confusion in general 8) Same as #2 WASH YOUR HANDS before touching the food - I didn't see a health inspection sign posted so... there is that. read more

On a cold Friday at the SoMa street food park with almost no one there (only one guy had ordered ahead of us), they took half an hour to get our order (burger & sliders) out!! We tried this food truck at the soma street food park today and it was very tasty! We were already pretty full so we decided to split something. I was seriously eyeing the fish tacos cause they looked and sounded amazing but my bf won and we shared the 1/2 lb Niman ranch burger with rice wine merlot maui onion jam with hobbs apple smoked Bacon and melted tilamook cheese. It was juicy and flavorful. The onions were cooked perfectly and the bacon was crispy just like we like it. I can't wait to go back to try the fish tacos. Yum! read more

SOOOO MUCH FLAVOR!!! I had the opportunity to try all three dishes he was serving last night at the Farmer's Market in downtown San Rafael. We had the fish tacos, the 1/2 pound burger, and the BLT. All of it was packed with flavor in every bite, and huge! The fish tacos were solid. The plate is $10 and comes with three fish tacos (that take up all the space on the plate, very filling!) It was tangy and sweet, did not skimp on the fish, and garnished with tomatoes, cilantro, and lettuce. The orange colored sauce that is drizzled on them is the perfect compliment. I think that's where the tanginess comes from. The 1/2 pound burger came with grilled onions, bacon, and tomatoes and lettuce on the side to add if you choose to. It was very greasy but oh so good. The grilled onions were caramelized to perfection. The BLT was my favorite. I don't remember what this one is priced at. Somewhere around $10. Honestly the best BLT I have ever had. It came on a hamburger style bun. I was pleasanty surprised at how much thick cut bacon it came with! This is your go-to food if you are a bacon lover (of course you are!) I went there on Friday for a Xmas party and had the buttermilk fried chicken, which was two boneless thighs and a small salad for a great price, this is BY FAR the best fried chicken I have ever had, and I will be back for more! Been there twice, and as old Dubya would say, "shame on me." Food is hit-or-miss, swinging from really great to meh on the two occasions we've tried it. Service is awful. The man who took our order (the owner?) is abrasive, unpleasant, and a borderline-pathological liar when ti comes to foretelling the expected wait for your order (we're talking about a factor of 5--from "less than ten minutes" to almost an hour!). I don't mind waiting, but I do mind being misled (on both occasions), presumably in order to make a sale. Don't even *dream* of inquiring about the status of your order if you don't want to get your head screamed right off. I tend not to care too much about service--I'll even take a little abuse from time to time. But the "quality" of the food (not to mention the competition from many other excellent mobile vendors in SF) doesn't justify having to put up with this level of unpleasantness. read more

Food did not agree with me. Apparently the truck was hit and damaged before our event and they could not serve what was listed on the truck. They showed up late and were supposed to serve between 12 and 3 and food was not ready until 2:15 and was cold. No veggie options. Chicken thighs with pico de gallo, cilantro and some type of sauce, very very heavily dressed salad, a bowl of shredded cheese, some bacon, onions doused in oil, some burgers with something in them. Today, on my first trip to the very nice folks at Let's Eat Grill Stop food truck at 150 Shoreline Hwy in Mill Valley by the Frantoio restaurant, I finally clued in to what's the what with this local find. The menu has fish tacos, a burger, two kinds of fries, salmon sandwich and Fried Chicken! Daily specials too. I had the salmon sandwich and it was the best $8 I've spent at lunch! It was perfectly seared on the flattop and served on a great roll with avocado, fresh tomatoes and a side of arugula salad. Other customers were salivating over the $10 plate of 3 fish tacos. I've eaten from here a couple times during a farmer's market and I've only had the BLT so far but, they make a really good and filling BLT that comes loaded with tons of bacon, and has this spicy sauce on it. I am a total food truck groupie/fanatic. I go to a lot of the food truck events and this truck has by far the BEST extensive menu and everything tastes great and the portions are filling! The owner is super nice and the first time we went we didn't have any cash, but the owner made us our food while we drove down the street to the nearby ATM. He also threw in a free fish taco for us to try since we couldn't decide what to get because everything looked so damn tasty! My hubby is a total foodie and this is the first truck that he actually loved. Don't know why this truck isn't part of the Off The Grid events.
