Hidden gem here in Zihuatanejo, MX! It's a beautiful covered outdoor restaurant on the 2nd floor looking at the city streets, some beautiful homes, church, hotel & other restaurants. I ordered the fried Red Snapper that came beautifully plated-see pictures! The tender meaty fish is extra tasty with the seasoned skin on the fish! The food was the bomb. So yummy. Great service a good breeze on the second floor patio and plenty of shade. This place is so welcoming there was only 2 other tables besides ours and we instantly started up conversations with really nice and welcoming folks. Lety's is one of our very favorite restaurants in Zihuatanejo. The food is superb, especially the coconut shrimp and the garlic butter shrimp. Side dishes are well chosen for main courses and are included. The menu changes from time to time, is creative, thus different from other restaurants in Zihuatanejo, and is always delicious.The staff is top notch and really enjoys serving a couple or large parties. The setting for the restaurant is lovely - high above the street below - with beautiful vegetation and blooming flowers surrounding diners. Surprised to find this little roof top restaurant in the Madera Neighborhood. Tried it on recommendation of a fellow tourist. Arrived with little intention of ordering shrimp (which is their main feature). Our server was so exuberant about the coconut shrimp my wife and I both ordered that. Our friends ordered the "shrimp mignon" - bacon wrapped shrimp with mushroom sauce and the fried fish - red snapper with garlic sauce. The coconut shrimp were served typically with a light batter full of shredded coconut. Along side sat a shot glass of coconut cream dipping sauce. Extraordinary. They are understandably proud of it. There isn't much I can say about Lety's that hasn't already been said. We visited Lety's on 10/20 during this year of Pandemic and luckily they were back open (10/12) after being closed since July 2nd. Lety's is a MUST stop for your stay in Zihuantanejo. With a small garden area off the eating area, you'll visit Chicky the 40yo Macaw and Lety's cute little turtle. Before our dinner at Lety's my wife and I sampled Coconut Shrimp at 2 other locations. The first places was good but had to much breading, and the sauce served again was ok. The second place had no breading and a lot of coconut, but we really didn't care for the sauce. Lety's coconut shrimp lives up to being the prize of her menu. Perfectly breaded, perfect amount of coconut and the sauce that came with it was TO DIE FOR. A rich crème with hints of pineapple and coconut. One of our party actually ordered extra of the sauce and added it to her dish. My main course was a seafood stuff poblano pepper with a chipotle cream sauce and I absolutely inhaled it! All the flavors came together so well. Honestly I wish we had taken the time to eat at Lety's more than just the once. My wife's Chicken Fajitas and vegetables were seasoned perfectly. The chicken was flavorful with out being to spicy. Lety's is a must stop for anyone's stay in Zihuantanejo and it will be multiple stops for us every time we're there. read more

Lety's is a small restaurant located just over the bridge by the public pier. Their ceviche is freshly prepared and outstanding. I also enjoyed the fish "tiritas" which is fresh fish marinated in lime and orange juice, served with paper thin slices of purple onion.Their other specialty is coconut shrimp which I plan to try when I return, The service was very friendly and the prices were very inexpensive considering the quality of food. read more

A kind of cute, simple restaurant, but the food was okay. Perhaps they have excellent coconut shrimp and we don't appreciate it. I found the breading too sweet and simply unnecessary on nice big shrimp. I'd know now to only order broiled or grilled and skip this style which I think can be just as good (and less sweet) when the frozen prepared shrimp from Costco is baked at home. We had heard about this place because of the coconut shrimp. It wasn't far from our place where we were staying, so we gathered up and went to lunch. DID not disappoint. In fact this was one of the best meals I had in Zihua. I highly recommend the coconut shrimp. Lety herself came out and chatted with us, and my husband got to tour the kitchen.
