Amazing coconut shrimp! Like nothing I have ever tasted before. A must try if you are in this area. Lety and her staff are attentive and friendly and they are super appreciative of every one that walks through the door. Highly recommend!!

Our first night in Zihuatanejo with friends that frequently dine at Lety's. The food, setting, and friendly staff did not disappoint. The gauc and coconut shrimp were amazing. The vegetables and rice with the shrimp were perfect. We sat roof top with a view of the neighborhood. Would highly recommend a stop here. Lety greeted us and was such a delight!

There isn't much I can say about Lety's that hasn't already been said. We visited Lety's on 10/20 during this year of Pandemic and luckily they were back open (10/12) after being closed since July 2nd. Lety's is a MUST stop for your stay in Zihuantanejo. With a small garden area off the eating area, you'll visit Chicky the 40yo Macaw and Lety's cute little turtle. Before our dinner at Lety's my wife and I sampled Coconut Shrimp at 2 other locations. The first places was good but had to much breading, and the sauce served again was ok. The second place had no breading and a lot of coconut, but we really didn't care for the sauce. Lety's coconut shrimp lives up to being the prize of her menu. Perfectly breaded, perfect amount of coconut and the sauce that came with it was TO DIE FOR. A rich crème with hints of pineapple and coconut. One of our party actually ordered extra of the sauce and added it to her dish. My main course was a seafood stuff poblano pepper with a chipotle cream sauce and I absolutely inhaled it! All the flavors came together so well. Honestly I wish we had taken the time to eat at Lety's more than just the once. My wife's Chicken Fajitas and vegetables were seasoned perfectly. The chicken was flavorful with out being to spicy. Lety's is a must stop for anyone's stay in Zihuantanejo and it will be multiple stops for us every time we're there.

Lety's is a small restaurant located just over the bridge by the public pier. Their ceviche is freshly prepared and outstanding. I also enjoyed the fish "tiritas" which is fresh fish marinated in lime and orange juice, served with paper thin slices of purple onion.Their other specialty is coconut shrimp which I plan to try when I return, The service was very friendly and the prices were very inexpensive considering the quality of food.

Excellent coconut shrimp, great prices, and delicious pulpa diablo (octopus in a moderately spicy garlicky tomato sauce). Friendly owners!

The dishes are Mexican and delicious. We enjoy sitting outside, as it is a walking only road with plants and small trees. The owner, Lionel, will make you feel special. In my opinion, the octopus carpaccio is itself worth the visit!

Food was fine. The service was very poor- incredibly slow, and appeared to be plenty of waiters. We…read moreordered guacamole and chips with beer and margarita as soon as we sat down, and then looked at menu. (Upon ordering, we learned they were out of the special they said was tuna, which was disappointing. But that's to be expected. It was fairly late- only a couple tables filled when we arrived. It took forever - plus asking to get the guacamole. (I actually saw the waiter coming towards us and suddenly remember!) It was yummy but a small portion. It took over half an hour after guac arrived (timed) after they had finally brought our food. So close to an hour for the entree. My grilled dorado was quite good. The chicken fajita was quite ordinary, not bad, but not great. The herbed butter they brought with bread was very good!! Meal was fine. But as we felt ignored (and were very hungry), and the wait made the dinner not so enjoyable. Atmosphere was pleasant. We sat outdoors in the "street". Waiter had "offered" table against building on sidewalk but took one in the street thinking it would be breezier. (Wasn't thrilled to eat with the vendors/kids and a beggar stopping by each table. The guitar player who stopped by was very good so there's a plus!) PS I think this sounds whiny. We've just had such spectacular meals at little places, between the positive reviews and other experiences, this was disappointing. It's prob a 3.5 but wouldn't be a place I'd go again.
