    Grindstone collection outside the Mill.

The park is beautiful, with a working McHague's Mill, Mountain Life Museum, Pool and campground. There are plenty of tucked away shelters and tables for family events. We spent 5 days at the campground and enjoyed the basketball, mini golf, large paved site, and daily cleaned bathhouse. The sand volleyball court has issues with sand hornets, beware if you have bee allergies. The playground was fun for the kids, and camp staff were responsive and friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would return

The gift shop is most certainly still here...

Amazing place to visit. The falls are truly a wonder of nature. Very accessible and plenty to do…read morefor a short vacation. Lots of hiking opportunity. The pool is decent enough. Staff was friendly. We stayed in a cabin and they're alright. Some of the stuff inside is dated but seemed to be cleaned well enough for us and everything inside worked. Definitely worth checking out the falls. You will not regret it.

Cumberland Park is one of my favorite state parks to visit. We have visited twice and loved it both…read moretimes. The first visit we stayed during covid in December so it was just our group of 4 and one other couple staying in the resort. It was nice because it felt so private. We stayed in the resort rooms and we were surprised with how nice they are. Everything was clean. It was a bit small but we made it work. The second visit we stayed in their cabins and preferred it more. we got 2 bedrooms and each one had 2 beds so all of us slept comfortably. I loved that the cabin comes with a full kitchen and table so we spent our night playing board games. The park itself has so much to do. There are tons of hiking trails, horseback riding and even boat tours that take you up close to the waterfall. You have to go to the Moon bow at least once in your lifetime. It's when the moon hits the water at the right angle and you see a rainbow at night. It is a cool experience but it does get really crowded so you may want to come early. Cumberland Falls gave me unrealistic expectations for state parks because this what I feel like most state parks should be like.

It's hard to hate any park. This park is another hit and if you're in Danville, it's a must stop…read more Every time I'm in the area, I always stop here. This park starts off with numerous baseball fields which I assume that little leagues use throughout the summer. Spread out around the park are a few small children's playgrounds. The organized sports and fun for the kids: Check! Near the middle of the park there is this decent sized pond with a fountain. Also ducks! Lots of ducks! Different ducks! Friendly ducks! Did I mention there are ducks? Benches and swings are all around the pond. It's the perfect place to take a daytime date to relax. Date/Nature/Pond: Check! On one side of the park and out of the way you'll find a small skate park. It is tiny and they really should expand it for the skaters in the area. They have more than enough room and it's hard to find great places to skate. Alternative activity space: Check! On the other side is a paved path that circles the park. It's a great path, but I wish it wasn't just a flat and winding path. They should install more trees or other things to admire. This path is surrounded by grass and only grass. I think this park could benefit from more trees, plants, and flowers. There is a gazebo on one side of the park in this area. There is also a dog park tucked away. The only reason this park gets a 4 instead of a 5 is because of wasted space. There's a lot of underutilized space that could be made beautiful here. I'm surprised anytime I talk to someone from the area and they have no idea that the park exists. Everyone from Danville and the surrounding area should use this park! No excuses!

This is a beautiful park located in Danville, KY. There are many facilities, a paved walking trail,…read morerolling hills, and a great fenced in dog park area. I've even looked up in the trees and caught a glimpse of an individual climbing high up in a tree! There is also a beautiful pond with a fountain. If you are in the Danville area, this is a great park to take your family or go for a run on your own.
