I love this dentist office - they're always on time, kind, and willing to help people experiencing financial difficulties. My insurance only pays for X-rays every 3 years but they still do annual X-rays and will eat the cost if charged because they want to know my teeth and gums are healthy. They aren't a dentists office that will just try to sell you an expensive whitening or cleaning just for the money. I received a crown and few dental cleanings from this office. I have since had several issues with my crown as it had a hairline fracture after 1.5 years (typically with a life of 5 years). I have gone to two new dentists since, that have claimed it was one of the worst crowns they have seen in their career. The placement and the shape were horrific to where I had no other choice but to get a completely new one from scratch. My current dentist would not even utilize it as a reference and took the time to craft a new one that was appropriate for the space. And since insurance only likes to pay every 5 years (because they should last at least that long), I have had to fight for coverage. Luckily my current dentist has taken a variety of pictures to assist with claims. However, I would not recommend this office as your go to dentist. read more

I live very very close to the University Hills Modern Dentistry. I called to schedule a new patient appointment. Walk to my location only to realize it is closed. Being confused because the number I called was the same as the number on the building I look at my appointment information and to my surprise it's a completely different location. Totally my fault for not checking sooner right? Why would I though I called the location closest to me. So I call the different number than the one I called to schedule my appointment. They told me that location was temporarily closed and all patience were being sent to Cherry Creek. I have been coming here at least twice a year for dental cleanings. The staff, hygienists and doctors are easy to work with and explain procedures clearly. I never feel rushed. Back in January, Dr Tam Le said I had 2 infractions that needed filling. One was major and the 2nd was minor. If I did't get a filling, eventually the tooth would fall out and I would need a root canal whick is Big Bucks!! I had come today to get the major infraction tooth filled. They were having a promotion if I donated $30 to Charity : water (Charity Global), I would get $100 off any procedure. So I opted to get both fillings for $208 instead of $408.00 with my MySmile Generation discount plan. Dr Le said both fillings would not require an injection to numb my gums but in case I had any pain she could still numb me. She also said these surface fillings have a tendency to fall out, so they offer a 1yr free replacement guarantee. read more

I had an appointment with Cherry Creek Modern Dentistry today. First. I was taken back by its "on the verge" of looking worn down and dated; It is not what you would expect from a place of business touting "Cherry Creek" in its title. Cherry Creek should make them cease and desist with using this name. It's a disgrace and feels "scammy--ish." Next, there was a receptionist staff member who flaunted himself as a self appointed gate keeper, for no apparent reason. I believe he may have been a relative of the owners of this franchise. He was so rude, condescending and incompetent. He insulting for no reason. I was early to my appointment. My insurance was already verified. As a result, I was not comfortable keeping my appointment. In addition, this guy wanted me to leave my insurance card in his possession and arrogantly told me my appointment was going to be a while because they were backed up. It was an unprofessional twilight zone experience. I don't recommend this place at all! This is not worth your time nor your trust. read more

I have been dealing with Angela for over 9 months on a bill. It was sent to collections and then I find they submitted it to BC BS of NEW MEXICO instead of BC BS of MINNESOTA! Gave them everything they need to submit it and it still hasn't gone through my insurance. Request that they simply follow up to ensure they actually did it correctly this time and they don't take appropriate action to get this resolved while my credit could be affected because of this. When calling to follow up, Angela thought I wasn't on the line and she made a comment to her co-worker that "I can wait because I was being rude"! Very unprofessional!! PLEASE READ BEFORE VISITING, I've been to this place few time. Clean environment and super hygienic services. But, this is like a dental selling business instead of a typical dentistry. If you intend to visit, don't be surprised that they generate a summary-list worth couple thousand dollars you need to spend on your teeth. Get that list and go to another doctor and you'll find out pretty much none or most of those were necessary or even needed. in my experience, once I rejected an unnecessary "deep cleaning" they performed a 3 minute terrible regular cleaning. I ended up going elsewhere to perform the cleaning again. It took doctor "A" hour and half to come to my booth to perform regular cleaning. Took him 3 minutes to finish the job and haven't uses ultrasonic. I recommend everyone to not ever waste time visiting this dentistry. Check with your insurance on every item they're recommending as many of them are not covered with any insurance. Someone from authorities or board should perform an inspection here. read more

Dr. Andrew Nguyen and his staff went above and beyond to make my visit enjoyable today. Not only is he extremely kind/knowledgeable, but on top of that...he's the most thorough dentist I have ever been to. Also, he is the king of crowns, and fixed one for me, that no one else could. Meredith did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth, is sweet, and very gentle. His dental assistant, Tiffany, did my X-rays and dental photos. The little camera they use takes amazingly detailed photos, and is really state of the art. She also made the process very comfortable. The waiting room is also very welcoming and pretty, and it makes me smile to see the happy plants! You can tell they are well loved, and THAT, is a great sign. Make an appointment with this office. I have been with this company for several years now and recently their service is terrible. I made an appointment months out for a simple cleaning. They first cancelled my appointment and rescheduled me for the next week. Then they cancelled my rescheduled appointment and told me they could not get me another appointment for another three months. When I voiced my concern about this matter, the lady at the front desk not only interrupted me but told me there was nothing she could do. In over 50 years of medical and dental treatments this was the worst experience that I ever had. I went in for a cleaning and they were so busy telling me everything else I needed that 3 lonnngggg visits later, my teeth still hadn't been cleaned. I agreed to let them give me a crown and it was the worst mistake. I wish I had read reviews before becoming a patient. Looking back I can see how they aggressively pushed me to get this done. They also wanted me to do a few others, get my wisdom teeth removed and other (probably unnecessary) procedures. The first visit they had so much trouble with the temporary crown that I was in the chair almost 6 hours. The second visit, they removed the temporary and then realized that they ran out of cement after I'd been there a couple hours and the temporary was out. Seriously? So, they put the crown on temporarily and had me come back a third time. Still no cleaning. The third time they put that crown on 5 or 6 times and couldn't get it On correctly. Once they did but there was floss stuck underneath so they had to remove it again. The pain was so horrible each time they had to pull this thing off. I have a high pain tolerance but this was beyond! Even worse than surgery or giving birth. The stabbed and jabbed me so hard, numbed the wrong areas and I looked like I had been beaten up. My lips and chin were pinched and scratched and cracked. I had sores the next day. I knew the crown wasn't on correctly (pretty sure they knew too) but I was petrified and needed to get out of there. It was really horrible!! The tooth that never hurt before has caused me pain for 9 months but I've been too scared to get it fixed, plus with the pandemic I've been putting it off but today it fell out. I've had crowns for over 20 years and this one didn't even make it one year. The worst part is I really believe that I didn't need the crown in the first place and now I need to pay someone to fix what they screwed up. Please stay away from this office. The admin staff is completely incompetent, showed up for a scheduled appointment that the dentist wasn't there for, and multiple other scheduling errors. Was told repeatedly that treatment plans and records would be emailed to me but never received them. I had a different dentist every time I went despite trying to stay with the same provider. The last dentist had the worst attitude I've ever experienced, he clearly didn't care at all about my treatment and offered no help to understand my options. Update - The Office Manager, Emily, called and worked out this issue in a very professional way, and I genuinely respect places that do that. I can tell she has a much different approach than the person I spoke with this morning, and my hope is that her staff learns from her. I was referred here by another office I go to for a root canal, and they rescheduled me to this office. My appointment was on Wednesday 1/23 but I was in San Francisco the weekend before. I came back from SF with the start of a cough and like I was getting sick, and did not want a root canal while I was phlegm-y and coughing. If you've ever had a root canal, that sound like a nightmare. I called to try to reschedule. The receptionist (correction) was very unsympathetic, and told me there would be a $50 charge to cancel. The alternative... come in for the appointment while I am sick. NEVER trust a dental office that would rather have patients come into their office with illness rather than waive a ridiculous fee and reschedule on a day when they're feeling well. Worst part - I told the person I spoke to that, after being told I would have no choice but to pay the $50 fee because "Its the policy," I would not be rescheduling to their office. This could be the most immoral or poorly trained dentist in the Denver area. I moved here 6 months ago and needed a new dentist. I went in for a routine cleaning and told them I needed a new retainer. The dentist sold me a night guard saying it would be better, stronger, and longer lasting than any retainer. Any good dentist would know that wasn't the right product - night guards are for grinding teeth. I got the night guard and never felt like it fit well. I went in several times for readjustments and they kept saying it's fitting properly and to wear it. Fast forward two months, my front teeth have shifted inward from a poor fitting night guard and my bite has changed. I've had terrible jaw pain for the last 3 weeks and now I'm spending thousands of dollars to get my teeth fixed by an orthodontist. This dentist is so immoral, that I wouldn't even trust them in trying to fix the issue they've created. Don't go to this place. They'll take advantage of you to make some money. I'm really surprised by the bad reviews I've read. I had a very pleasant experience here. I felt like the communication was very good and I knew exactly what to expect as things went along. Dr. Boettger is very kind and I thought very good. I really hate going to the dentist and don't get cleanings as often as I should (who among us??) - maybe I'm the only one. She didn't make me feel bad about this and really did a great job with my crown after I broke a tooth on a popcorn kernel. The hygienist, Stacey Hefel, was excellent as well. I'm very glad I came here and didn't read all of the bad reviews. Sometimes I think it is just the pissed off people that leave reviews on yelp. The worst dental experience of my life. My partner recommended them so I thought I would try them out. Like a terrible used car salesman they kept pushing unnecessary dental procedures on me, like a root canal and a veneer cap, because one tooth was pushed up slightly and 'might cause me discomfort' in the future. When I said no I'm not interested I just want a cleaning, they kept pushing it. They wouldn't clean my teeth until they heard from my insurance on how much the root canal would cost me out of pocket. I sat in the chair for almost an hour until I left. Never got my teeth cleaned. As I was leaving they asked if I would like to schedule the procedures, again I said no. No need to go into too many details about the Dentist's office in general, but here are some highlights regarding their staff. As a new patient, felt super welcomed and everyone at the front desk was super kind and helpful. Better yet, I was called back on time! That has never happened to me. The process from X-Rays, to meeting with the Dr. , to cleaning, were all easy and quick. Easy to set up next appointment as well. I would like to report on the very poor experience I have had with cherry creek modern dentistry. I was a patient with them for 4 years. In those 4 years I never saw the same dentist or hygienist twice. I also noticed a steady downfall of their facilities and equipment never working. Also some of their techs do cleanings and not certified hygienists (major red flag). My last visit was the final cut off. I was told I had a fracture on one of my teeth and was advised to get a crown, I refused as I had never realized. I also had them repair a chip on my front tooth. First of all whoever was the "dentist" that day kept forgetting to do certain things I paid for and was very scatter brained. I the patient had to remind her constantly. The filling she provided took 5 minutes (alarmingly fast for a chipped tooth). The filling broke off the following day. I now go to standley shores dental in wheat ridge and have had exceptional care. however they found DENTAL CEMENT on my lower teeth and thought I had a permanent retainer due to the sheer volume, I don't. That was residue CHERRY CREEK MODERN DENTISTRY CARELESSLY LEFT! they also said I had zero fractures in my teeth. UNBELIEVABLE. And the filling work that dentist had done was shocking to my new dentist, they couldn't believe how little prep was done and the fact that lady had sanded down my tooth so poorly. You know that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you are getting screwed by a car mechanic? ...Feels like that, except ten times worse. The guy who did the x-rays was nice and did a good job. Everything else was pretty unacceptable. After the x-rays they take me to another room to get imprints. The x-ray guy was getting ready to do them when a girl calls him away and so she does the imprints. After she leaves, I wait for about 15 minutes for Doctor Harrison to arrive. By now I've been told at least twice that the doctor I'm seeing is the one that runs the practice. She comes in and is in her mid-20s wearing high heel boots. Doesn't explain anything she is doing and goes into her routine throwing out numbers and jargon to the assistant. Takes about five minutes and after I ask her what that all meant and she replied "we'll talk about that soon." She then puts up the chair and briefly tells me I have gum disease and cavities that we need to take care of. She also tells me that I should take out my wisdom teeth, not because anything is wrong, but because I don't need them. She then informs me that Perry will come in to talk about price options before she cleans my teeth. I'm still sitting uncomfortable in the dentist chair, while Perry breaks down the costs. The doctor didn't explain anything and I have to ask the money guy what everything is. The whole time he doesn't even ask if I want to do any of the procedures (neither did the doctor). I actually have to insist to him that I would like to wait. They actually have a signature pad on the dentist chair so they can pressure you into signing right there! He leaves and says the doctor will be right back to clean my teeth. I wait at least 30 minutes in the dentist chair with the little bib on considering walking out. Finally, some other girl notices me in the room. They had forgotten about me. Apparently Perry left and didn't inform anyone and the Doctor was "Busy." The girl tells me I need to reschedule to come back another time to get my teeth cleaned. After expressing my frustration she goes to check and see if the doctor is available. She's not. The girl brings in an assistant to clean my teeth who just got there and didn't have any clue what was going on with my exam. He cleans my teeth and he's a nice guy and apologizes, but he wasn't even sure what to apologize for. No one knew what had been completed or what else needed to be done. I left and no one knew what was going on with my exam. This place is inefficient, unprofessional and does not care about you as a person. They lure you in with a low-cost exam only to upsell you high cost procedures with no regard for you as a person. read more

I went in today because my tooth had been bothering me for awhile and I will say, I had a delightful experience. I believe, Sherry is the new person at the front desk and she is amazing. Talking to people seems to come naturally to her and she found a way to un-awkwardly talk to me about her pets, my pets; her family, my family; her husband, my partner. When the owner of the practice came into chat with me, I was again nervous. But she apologized to me and told me she appreciated the feedback. Apparently, the whole office had a conversation, which actually makes me really happy. If more businesses actually took these kinds of things seriously, like CCMD, I would probably be more willing to patron them and write them happy reviews! I salute them for taking it seriously! My dentist, Jenna, was very nice, open, and more natural this time. For one thing they just seemed less rushed, less cattle prodding, more genuine connection. I felt like there were still a lot of folks in and out of the room, Hannah was with us for the majority of the time and she was friendly. They both checked in with me the whole time; made sure I was comfortable, wasn't in pain, and wasn't drowning, which is my greatest dental-fear. She was very professional and assured me that if things were not perfect after the numbing stuff wore off to come in and they would adjust it. When we went through my billing there was a little confusion, but it was immediately straightened out. And I swear, Sherry checked on me throughout the entire visit to make sure everything was going as planned and that I was comfortable. So really the whole thing was good. I was able to use the discount program and the Smile Generation financing. My tooth already feels better, I am excited to get my night guard, and all-in-all, I think they are definitely improving and I would recommend it to others and go back. read more

Where to start? I started coming to this office way back in 2010 and initially had great experiences. But the longer I was a patient, my visits became more disorganized and I sincerely began to question the treatment I was receiving and being recommended to pursue. Rarely after my first visit did any of the techs or hygientists introduce themselves or explain what they were doing. I felt as if I had turned into a head with teeth, but nothing more. And soon, I rarely saw the dentist that I had first come to see. Over the course of my last two visits, I felt as if I was bombarded and being guilt-tripped into doing procedures that I didn't believe I needed. I've always had excellent dental hygiene, so extensive work, including lasers treatments other reviews have mentioned, that wasn't necessary one year ago really made me question the integrity of CCMD. So before going ahead with anything, I wanted to get a second opinion from an independent, self-practicing dentist not associated with any Modern Dentistry. And lo and behold, um, no, I don't need thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of dental procedures. Surprise surprise. I had always been baffled by the negative reviews for this office because I was initially treated so well and had great care. But as I visited more, I completely understood why. I lost confidence in this office and am extremely thankful I trusted my gut and got a second opinion. Run away! read more

Do not even think about coming here. These guys are just unbelievably rude and unprofessional. The assistants couldn't see me in my examination room, couldn't see me, so I kept overhearing them complain loudly about the patients and their "swamp-ass." Nice. They had terrible bedside manor, and would ask questions they obviously are assigned in order to appear human with the most dead set of eyes and facial expressions you have ever seen. The juxtaposition between the warm, "I am asking this to project friendliness" questions and the "I wish you would just die so I could go home to my percocets and Toddlers in Tiaras" expressions could literally be in a horror movie. Terrible, trashy people. The dentists themselves aren't any better. My dentist made several basic mistakes. Like telling me my bottom left wisdom tooth needed to come out, and then writing my bottom right on the chart. Which led to just a shit-storm of confusion when I finally got to come in for the surgery almost three weeks later (they have an "independent contractor" surgeon that comes in once a month-so consider that if you have severe pain and don't want to pay multiple times for x-rays and consultations). The oral-surgeon was perhaps the biggest jerk I have ever had to deal with. Literally told me I would probably die if I waited a few months to take out the rest of my Wisdom teeth when my insurance starts again. Felt like dealing with a used car salesmen, using hardcore, high pressure tactics to get the biggest sale at once. Not impressed at all with this place. I have had 3 appointment there. The initial with X-rays, Exam and Cleaning. This is a Long process anywhere you go for the most part. While I was waiting I was able to talk one of the Dental Assistants to give me a hand massage. I left the office with a Clean Smile and laughing. It was just fun and not uptight at all. All for $39 if you dont have insurance. Then I went in for a Whitening. Came in and meet with smiles and just great atmosphere. Yes, they were training a DA to do the whitening but it all went well and My teeth are white and I have a great molds. Today, I had some cavities filled. Some of my previous Dental Assistants came in to say "Hi". Although my DA was a little rough with the suction. everything went well and I am pleased with the work. If you are looking for honest, thorough, and experienced dental care stay away from Cherry Creek Modern Dentistry! I was suckered in by the idea of a modern, tech-forward dental office. The first time I visited the office was for a simple cleaning and check up. The dentist was brand new, right out of dental school, and very set on fixing every problem he supposedly found n my mouth. I agreed to 3 fillings but declined the laser gum therapy. After the dentist completed my fillings at could tell something was "off" with one of them... my bite didn't feel right at all. I expressedy concern to the dentist and he tried to brush it off, telling me that it was just the novacaine and it'd feel better when I got home. I pushed him to try to clean it up a bit before I left, which he quickly and reluctantly did. It still didn't feel right. The dentist looked very annoyed and told me to go home and make another appt for another day if I needed it worked on. Low and behold, when the novacaine wore off a couple hours later it was even worse. One of the teeth just didn't fit right with my bite, felt weird with my mouth closed and was really uncomfortable when I chewed food. I made an appt for the next day and the dentist finally took his time with fixing the filling sothatit fit with my bite. I left, convinced that my next dental appointment would be at a different dentist... little did I know that appointment would come only 4 months later when one of the fillings the dentist had done chipped off! I saw Dr. Bunch at Cody Dental Group (highly recommend him), who was very surprised that I was having issues with such a new filling. He told me it probably wasn't set correctly. After a full exam, he also informed me that my gums were in excellent shape. I told him that Cherry Creek had told me I needed laser therapy only 4 months earlier and he laughed. His hygienist told me that Modern Dentistry is the car salesmen of dental offices... Always trying to upsell. I will never return to Cherry Creek Modern Dentistry, and will stay away from the modern dentistry chain in general. read more

In Dec 2010 I was suckered in by the $39 exam/cleaning (now $59), professional waiting room, and modern digitized x-ray equipment, but had a very negative experience here. I have never had a cavity in my life, yet after waiting over an hour to see the dentist I was told that I had four cavities which would need to be filled. I happened to be getting a bite plate fitted by a different dentist the same week, who gave me a free second opinion and said that only one of those sites indicated it MIGHT need work. I opted to have that single site filled by Modern Dentistry and immediately started having pain when eating. I went back in and they drilled more tooth and refilled, but I still had pain. I went back a third time. They did additional x-rays and found an air bubble where they had filled, which they admitted was due to their incompetence. A different dentist refilled my tooth for a THIRD time that day. I found out while she was working on me that IT WAS HER FIRST DAY AS A LICENSED DENTIST. I have still had problems with that tooth, but needless to say have not returned to Modern Dentistry to have them address the issue. In addition to all of those problems, they scheduled me for an appointment that I did not request, which I then had to cancel online. They followed up by calling my phone three times to reschedule that unrequested appointment. At multiple points in dealing with them they tried to get me to sign up for their dentistry plan, which I had no interest in. I can tell you that $39 for a cleaning will definitely not be what you pay when you walk out of there, because they will advise you that you need additional work whether you really do or not. Their fees are not competitive and their dentists are not competent. A year and a half later I finally signed up for self-pay insurance and went to the dentist who gave me that second opinion (Dr Bradley Nassimbene at Cherry Creek Dental). A comprehensive exam and X-Rays prove that even now I have no cavities... and probably never had the one I let Cherry Creek Modern drill, which was a huge mistake. Those people are criminal.
