It must have been my lucky day because when I called LeVonne with a nail emergency she told me to come right over. She answers her own phone and listened to my plight. I raced over and instead of repairing my two broken nails, she explained to me how painfully bad my previous technician was. She put me in a fantastic place to be able to shorten my nails upon returning from my vacation so I can get back to work! They look gorgeous! Like nothing I've ever seen! Not only is she knowledgeable, but kind, compassionate, and her work is meticulous! Every day on vacation I got a ton of compliments. The spa is luxurious and soothing. If I'd had more time I'd have gotten some treatments and can't wait to! The brightest part of my experience was LeVonne herself. First of all I would like to say that I rarely read reviews and I certainly don't write them, I don't have the time or desire to do so. But I HAD to write this one....On a Saturday morning a few weeks ago I called the LaVonne de Spa to see if I could possibly get an appt for eyelash extensions (never had them before). We were taking our two granddaughters to great wolf lodge for 2 nights and I knew my eyelash curler wasn't going to keep up with all the swimming. LaVonne was so sweet on the phone and said the day was booked but she would call me if there were any cancellations. We text a few times during the day and she still sounded optimistic. I received a text from her about 5:30 and she said "Ok, be here at 7:00." EVERYTHING about my appt was amazing! It was NOT an appointment it was an absolute "experience!" Lavonne and her amazing coworker, Catt, are solely there for their customers. Their passion for what they do for their clients is really truly remarkable and so indescribable. I left the salon about 9:30 pm. on that Saturday night!....No salon on the face of this planet would stay open that late for a client, and a new one at that! My eyelashes are SO beautiful but I sure have put them through the true test.. Since my appt 3 weeks ago, we had 2 days in the waterpark with our girls, my 87 yr old father had a stroke, an extremely close friend passed away and my son and husband had a 4 wheeler accident which resulted in my husband fracturing 2 cervical vertebras and a 3 day stay in the hospital. Needless to say between the water park and SOO many tears my eyelashes have held up amazingly. I went to LaVonne for the first time because my husband purchasers a gift certificate for me for Christmas! It was one of the best days I've had in a long time. From the minute you walk in the door you are treated like a Queen. Olivia and LaVonne both greeted me at the door and had a few minutes of friendly conversation, and then was handed a delicious mimosa to enjoy while filling out the registration paperwork. I had the BEST facial ever, I was completely pampered and relaxed during the whole thing. I didn't want to leave because I was truly enjoying my time there. LaVonne noticed that I had injured my toe nail the previous summer and it still had not healed. She immediately insisted on repairing my nail so that I didn't have to walk around with my ugly toe all summer. I would highly recommend and encourage everyone to go visit LaVonne and her team. This was a real treat. I've been to spas before in the metro D, from Birmingham to Plymouth, but this was the best personalized treatment I've ever received in a beauty treatment setting. LeVonne, the owner, delivers a welcoming, warm environment - she and her crew are quite entertaining! Wine and chocolate, steam shower before my incredible hot stone massage, followed up by a pedicure and manicure, all of these services using 'top of the shelf' products. Definitely request Leah if she's available - she has magical hands. I found this place through her after discovering her at the salon she worked for 15 years previously. "After being loyal client to the same salon for many years I decided to change to a new salon for many reasons but mainly because of the salon not keeping up with continued education and not complying with local health ordinance. I search the Internet all day and after reading several reviews from clients I decided to try LeVonne (owner) at LeVonne de Spa & Salon. My first walk through the door I was so impressed by salon being so clean. As sitting in the waiting room and their was no other clients waiting at the time. I was the only client (no walk-ins) appointments only, so your appointment is all about you (Your not a assembly line here). Paid reservation and you get what you pay for and her full attention and time. As I was shown around the Spa/Salon it was very clean, no harsh chemical smells, not even dust in the nail salon room. The owner only uses top quality products, disposable files and buffers that you can keep or throw away and many clean towels after each nail step so dust and particles can not get on your nails or on your polish or your clothing. Each tool that is used is cleaned right after use sanitizer, disinfectant, 99% alcohol immediately. So no worries about any type of bacteria, fungus disease to be picked up here. I'm so thankful to have found LeVonne not only does she do an amazing job, she is a true artist at everything. Please be aware before you have any service done at this salon!! First, the owner makes you feel like anything that you have done by another salon was not correctly done or looks terrible! She also tries to sell her overpriced services and claims she is the very best at every service she provides. Then she sells nonsurgical treatment packages and promises that you can cancel the package if you have any side effects. Well, you can cancel but she wont give you your money back!!!!! She says you can spend the credit over the next 5 years at her salon!!! Apparently, it is in writing on the back of her contract that she NEVER points out when she sells you a package!!! I woke up the next morning with massive sores on my face. She said it was an allergic reaction although she had promised to test before using products. I had the Brazilian by LeVonne. LOVED her!!! My past experience with Brazilians were not pleasant as I always seemed rushed and felt like they didn't prep the area to be waxed. Never going anywhere else for this. As a side note, LeVonne noticed my freshly painted toe nails, which looked great, but the bottom of my feet were not "buttery smooth". She offered to make them as such after the wax. Wish I would've gone here for the pedicure, my feet are like a "baby's butt"!!!! read more
