This letter is telling me that I've missed multiple and multiple appointments, and that if I don't want to really be there I don't have to so they will stop seeing me! I must say I'm glad that this dentist is showing his true colors! The fact that letter was not entirely true but also the maturity of it was ridiculous! Technically the entire time I have been with this dentist I have missed two appointments one being I was on the international trip, the second was at the end of last month. I had an appointment for a cleaning and I was eight minutes behind schedule because of traffic on SomCenter Road when I arrived I can feel the attitude from one receptionist in particular they took me back did x-rays but did not do the cleaning because and I quote I was eight minutes late and they only have 45 minutes with me so I said no problem I will be back the following week to get my cleaning done and I also had a small cavity. Well I have just received horrible news that there was a death in my immediate family I took off did not think about canceling this appointment because as any normal human being that would be the last thing on their mind! So again I find it very rude and offensive to have such a nasty derogatory letter in my now waiting for my arrival after a week and a half of hell that I have been through. And by the way I have even paid for my services before I left the office building to take care of the cavity and it will not be fixed by this dentist as he made it clear he does not want me as a patient which is totally fine! Again he comes off as a great doctor to begin with but just make sure nothing happens in your life that you can't control and be sure no matter what to give them a call even if it's a life changing experience happening in your life you must call them or you will get a nasty letter and they will turn on you like you were just the person from the streets. I had 4 years of braces years ago when the practice was only Dr. Parker. I had a severe overbite…read morethat required correction, therefore I had braces from middle school into high school. Dr. Parker was nice but unfortunately in those 4 years he never addressed the downstream impact on the lower jaw when correcting a severe overbite. As an adult my lower jaw is too narrow and my chin receded in comparison to my upper jaw. He aligned my teeth and pulled back the upper row to lessen the overbite, but did nothing to adjust/widen my lower jaw and pull it forward while my mouth was still growing. Because of this my tongue now fills up too much of my mouth which pushes on my lower row of teeth and causes me to stumble over words when trying to speak - almost as if my tongue is in the way when forming words. Hopefully Dr. Parker & Streem now do a comprehensive adjustment with braces in order to give you (or your child) a balanced smile and facial symmetry. Be sure to ask thorough questions on how they balance the face along with correcting the teeth. On my end I am now researching Orthognathic Surgeons to cut my jaw, move it forward, and secure it with screws to correct my tooth, tongue, chin, and jaw issues as an adult.

I am unable to drive and spent $$ on a ride to see this female DDS I had heard such good things…read moreabout. I have had dental issues before and so, when she was suggesting a procedure to reveal more tooth, cutting away gum tissue, so casually, I knew this was really an oral surgery procedure, and she was NOT an oral surgeon. While she might have been able to do this, it would have been not at all in MY best interests in light of prior dental traumas and discomfort. She was told this and said she could give me a valium. A very imo, stupid suggestion in that while I am a young senior, I am at this time using a walker and anything that would potentially make me unsteady could lead to a fall and injury would be ill advised. It became to me very apparent that she was not the type of caring professional I anticipated and was too anxious to do a procedure that would not be in MY best interests though would bring in some income for the business she was part of. I did have a follow up visit because the night of the first visit, the tooth basically disintegrated when I bit on something, and I went back to see if the treatment plan was still feasible even though I would not have her do the initial care, which I had indicated would be likely since I knew an oral surgeon. While she still thought it was doable, I had happened prior to have a visit scheduled with my retiring dds of many years. And when she saw the tooth remains, in its current condition, she was shocked, and concluded as I had, that long term the tooth was not going to survive and what was left needed to be removed and potentially replaced. To think that I went out of my way at great expense (for transportation) for this "care". The other DDS in the practice gets good reviews. For routine care perhaps they are fine. But I will not be back. Even if I lived down the block, I would hesitate. This particular DDS only enhanced my general distrust of dentists.
