I am not sure if they have facilities to host memorial or funeral services because we wanted to have our own small family service to be followed later by a celebration of life service later at our own church. The woman who I worked with told me that it was necessary to wait until January to file the paperwork because the VA ran out of funding by October. I believed her. Then I called the VA and they told me that was nonsense and they couldn't imagine why anyone would tell me that. When I called and told them this, I was told the paperwork had been sent but checking with the VA proved otherwise. I called again and informed them of this and once again was told the paperwork was sent. For the second time, the VA said they had received nothing. For the third time I had to call them and demand the paperwork be sent. Finally it was sent but it was done incorrectly and the VA sent it back to me. It was finally up to me to handle the paperwork on my own. The woman I dealt with had assured me not once but three times that the paperwork was handled and each time that was proven to be false. The claim she made about the VA running out of funding was proven to be false. I do not know what her motivation was nor do I care. I was in mourning for my husband and the last thing I needed to deal with was this woman's unprofessional behavior and her lack of integrity. There may be good, trustworthy people who work there, unfortunately I was handled by a person who was just the opposite and on that basis alone I would not recommend this service. When I first drove up to their location, seeing it was in a strip mall, I immediately had reservations. I should have trusted my instincts and gone elsewhere for all the aggravation this woman caused me.

That was one of the main reasons my grandmother chose this place was because of accessibility. With the circle of life, we all experience a loved ones passing. Sasha was amazing from start to finish! She answered any questions we had, even if they were some odd ones. This was our first "rodeo" on planning a service; so we were completely clueless! Sasha was very knowledgeable, personable and guided us through the entire process. Sasha was very patient and gladly repeated herself. Not only was she dealing with myself, but my other two sisters as well. Due to some family matters, we were on a time crunch. From my initial google search to calling in- the arrangements were all done and complete in 2 days! On the day of, she greeted us and even helped us set up. My family is Buddhist, so we had a service that reflected that. Sasha was respectful and catered to all our needs/wants/wishes. Sasha definitely made a horrible experience a pleasant one. I was given the wrong rate- We made an arrangement and my youngest son picked a red urn off the display case that had a little scratch on the lid and said that we wanted one of that color. I was told everything would be ready to pick up by Monday the 21st. After not hearing from the facility, I called on Wednesday the 23rd left a message, in a return call received an hour later. Melissa told me that my son's remains were ready to pick up but they were waiting for the death certificate from the medical examiner's office they should have it by the end of the day and that I was okay to come by Thursday morning to pick up. Thursday afternoon the 24th, at 1 in the afternoon I pick up my son's remains, that were placed in the display urn with the scratch on it, and informed that the death certificate would not be available for 17 weeks but they could mail me a pending maybe Friday!!!! Why I was told something completely opposite- no one could tell me :( I was given misinformation over and over again. This is a horrible thing for somebody who's lost a child to have to deal with, and there is no way that I would ever recommend anybody to use this service. Daniel Mortuary Services was not at all pleasant. They were supposed to arrive at the parish at 9AM so the family could have some time with their deceased in our chapel. Our funeral Mass was scheduled for 10AM. They arrived at 9:48AM and when asked to park under the awning so that the family wouldn't have to walk a long distance to accompany the casket, they responded, "I parked where I parked." There was no explanation or apology for their tardiness and when the funeral Mass was over they weren't even in the church to help. This was one of the most disappointing experiences I have had with a funeral home. I certainly won't be recommending them to any parishioners in the future.
