A couple days after ordering it I did have a question about it so I called. She was amazing. She told me when she went to ship my dress there was actually a stain on it and that she called around to other stores until she found it. A lot of places wouldn't do that. They would just call and cancel your order. This was above and beyond for customer service.

I like GAP clothes, but I an not likely to shop often for them at this particular store. One…read moresignificant reason is that there is not a large inventory of clothes for men here. I would say 75% of the retail space is for women's clothes. I wonder if perhaps the majority of GAP's customers are women, or maybe the owners of this store just didn't put a lot of emphasis on it because they are next door to a Banana Republic and across the street from an Eddie Bauer. Also, while I was at the checkout area, 2 people in front of me had problems. The clerk waiting on the person in front of me could not retrieve his rewards program information. The woman at the other counter had a lengthy discussion with the woman checking her out, who was evidently the store manager. The conversation, while not exact, went along these lines: Manager: We can't accept that card because it doesn't have a VISA logo on it. Customer: Really? I don't understand, because I used this same card at another GAP store yesterday. Manager: Well we can't accept it. Customer: Can I at least swipe it to show you that it will be accepted? I know GAP accepts this card. Manager: Even if the machine accepts it we can't; I know because I'm the store manager. The manager was lucky the customer decided to purchase the clothes anyway with another card. It seems like this was clearly a case of "My word versus yours." If the manager was right, she could have used a less harsh tone. If the customer was right, then there is some set of inconsistencies between various GAP stores. I really have no idea if these sorts of things affect business overall for this store. It has a great location, a good women's inventory (but an awful men's inventory), but some unhappy customers.

The woman I…read morespoke to was not only sexist, insisting that I wasn't allowed to shop in the men's section because I was a woman but also wouldn't let me pick out the size I want because I was "doomed to discover that it's going to take years for me to lose enough weight to fit in those" her words, not mine (i'm in the top 1% of weight percentile and extremely skinny, also I KNOW WHAT SIZE I AM) it was as if she didn't want me to buy clothes from a clothing store, trying to shoo me away like a wayward cockroach. Long story short, I will never be returning to this store again.

My husband and I go to Saratoga Springs to relax and shop frequently. My husband has always looked…read moreforward to browsing in the Saratoga Saddlery. However, when we were there in April, 2024, he got bitten by a dog. The clerk and her friend paid no attention and made no effort to control the dog. My husband became upset and they threw him out of the store! When my husband came back to our hotel room, he was clearly shaken by how he had been treated. The dog bit right through his pants and into his leg. We didn't know any urgent care centers in the area, so went to CVS. The pharmacist told us if we didn't go to urgent care, we needed to put a lot of antibiotic ointment on the wound, bandage it and be very watchful about infection. We did not enjoy those days and don't think of Saratoga Springs as fun anymore. I emailed the store about the incident and got no reply. No apology, nothing. All the stores and restaurants in Saratoga Springs will miss us.

There's a new place in the food court (Salty Dogs) and a second looks about to open up. Dick's, Healthy Living, JC Penney and Homework seem to be doing good business. And--important--the mall is clean and well maintained. There are even live plants in the public spaces. Still, the glory days of the mall (and malls in general) seem to be over. Bon Ton, the movie theater and Sears are gone for good. But Wilton Mall seems to be holding on. Maybe it's not a bad idea to turn the former Bon Ton area into an apartment complex, a controversial proposal. We could be like underground Montreal, living our lives out in the harsh winter without ever venturing outside. I come here to get my steps in when the weather keeps me from walking outside. Two circuits will do you nicely, and just one will give you some healthful exercise. Just watch out for the ubiquitous skinny guy on the posters who reminds us that mall going used to be a madcap social experience. Update: Yelp seems not to want to show my picture of the skinny on posters. Not sure why this is controversial. Walk the mall and see for yourself.

Lord knows I love a sale, especially when you see that most items around you are approximately…read more$50-$200+ and you might be thinking: "There's no way I would spend that much money on clothes." However, there are a couple of factors to take into consideration. While it's true that you can find cheaper clothing elsewhere, how good is the material? How much time passes before it breaks, tears, becomes threadbare, or color drained? You can feel the quality of the clothes here, you can see it in the stitching. The patterns, and designs are distinctly unique, also; They have a sales rack in the back :-) That's where I headed and found the most gorgeous pair of pants. My friend also happened to find a gorgeous coat, and since the item was 75% off, I probably got my item cheaper than what it would have cost at a regular store. Service was exceptional. While we had the items we wanted to try on in our arms, an assistant quickly came over and got rooms ready for us. We didn't feel rushed or hurried. It truly was the best boutique we visited during our visit to Saratoga Springs. I highly recommend it.

At 5:30, the employee working lowered the closing gate halfway and stopped. confused, I said "I thought you were open till 6?" She goes "we are, but we close this at 5:30, 30 minutes before we're closed So obviously if they're closing the gate halfway, they're actually closing at 5:30 ‍
