Warning about Sonnenberg below: (to begin with, their website seems to be unsafe. They delivered a $400+ order to my home that was the incorrect size, seemed to be infested with fleas, AND ran over and destroyed a custom metal yard sign. We ordered small trap rock and they delivered rocks that were much larger. We weren't thrilled about it since it didn't match our previous order, but we didn't raise an issue about it. Within a few days, we noticed a significant amount of fleas when moving the rock around and working in the rocks. The issue only resolved once spraying the entire new landscaping areas with pesticides. (Never, ever, had this issue until this delivery.) In addition, when Sonnenberg pulled out of our oversized, FIFTEEN FOOT WIDE driveway (that nobody else has ever had a problem with) the driver pulled the back wheels off the driveway, hitting our custom made, metal yard sign we bought for $70 a couple years ago. (The closest replacement we found online is a junker from amazon because the sign was custom - not bought online like the one out there now.) When I contacted the "manager" Greg, I sent not 1, but 2 videos showing them hitting the sign. Greg had over a month and never responded. I sent a follow up email, no response. I called and asked for a different manager and was told the "general manager" Caroline would call, yet she never did. It's been months now. I called one more time today and talked to the special gem, Caroline. She was unprofessional, hateful, accusatory, and she denied any and all wrong doings. In fact, she went as far as to hang up the phone numerous times during very brief, accusatory phone calls. Then she would call back and start up again. She claimed she and Greg couldn't see a single thing in the videos. Then she went on to interrogate me about what the sign was made of and how big it was, as if it were made of straw or something. She tried to deny it over and over. Only after numerous hangups, repeated denials, continued hateful remarks and comments, did I ask her why she was being so unprofessional and she remarked "you're being aggressive." After waiting for months, and being verbally abused by this hateful lady over and over, after a really piss poor experience, I was somehow "aggressive" for asking her why she was rude and expecting them to replace damaged property. Sorry, but when you're a really hateful person like Caroline, I guess you don't expect people to call you out about your behavior. Then when they do, you project it back to the customer. Great service! When Caroline called back after hanging up again, I let her go to voicemail so she'd be recorded. Imagine this - she suddenly found manners she'd been missing all day and left a polite message! If you don't compensate for the sign by the end of the week, I will send a chargeback for a full refund with the bank because this is horrible service, and after all of the errors on your part, the least you can do is apologize and replace the sign. Leaving this review anywhere I can since you all have a bad habit of removing unfavorable reviews.

I'm happy about a lot of things to do with this job, but especially impressed with how well the pavers were installed. The guys dug a channel, added a bunch of aggragate and carefully fitted in the pavers at an angle (to prevent the decorative rock from falling out). I had them come out to do some painting and staining which was being covered by my insurance company. Be warned, if you have them do work for you, they will not work with you on timing for payment. I was waiting on my insurance depreciation check to be endorsed by our mortgage company. The owner called me and told me that he needed the money right away so that he could pay his contractor. So basically he was trying to make the fact that he couldn't pay his contractor my fault because I hadn't paid my invoice in full yet (I had already paid most of the bill with the first check I received from State Farm). I just needed a week to receive the final endorsed check and I would have paid in full. So, I had to pay the final bill using my credit card which meant paying the credit card processing fee. If this is really how they do business now, then that means they don't have cash in the bank to pay their bills while they wait for payment from customers. This is not a good way to do business and is a huge red flag. My advice when looking for a painting contractor for insurance work, is to ask about their ability to work with you on insurance payments. If they are unwilling to work with you, there are others that will. I neglected to ask first and got burned. As for the quality of the work, the team they sent out did a great job. That's a reflection on the contractor, not on CertaPro themselves, so take that with a grain of salt.

Despite multiple notices to pay an outstanding balance, our outdoor lighting still doesn't work. The company essentially installed an entirely new system, leaving our old lighting in disarray. While I was initially fine with this, the new system has never functioned properly. I've worked with Adam and have asked him seven times to come out and fix the problem, but there has been no resolution. At this point, I'm exhausted and simply want the product removed--I certainly don't want to pay $3,000 for something that doesn't work. I've also requested to speak with the owner but have yet to receive a call. Please be cautious if you're considering this company for your lighting needs. Ironically, their fencing division was fantastic--they repaired our fence perfectly with no issues. However, the lighting division has been a complete mess, and I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for outdoor lighting services.

But they couldn't give me a receipt as they were in a "new office". So I had a hand written receipt that i wrote out, as i didn't trust giving cash with a promise of an emailed receipt. The emailed receipt still hadn't arrived by Monday. I asked for a copy of the material order to be emailled. They couldn't provide that and never did. I then tried to cancel everything and he refused to send me a check and wanted to discount his expenses for his time and costs. and have me come to him as he wasn't going to mail it. I felt bullied by him. Not wanting to risk losing my money, I apologized for not trusting him, and we agreed to proceed. Materials were delivered on time. Start date was moved back. Twice. Next start date was set for Columbus day and the only person who showed up was a drone person and he asked if the job was completed to my satisfaction. (There was zero work started and four crates of materials sitting on the sidewalk.) This person was oblivious to his surroundings. Thank God we had Mexicans show up the next day to do the real work. They did most of it but left trash, limbs and 8 inch ruts in the yard where the trailer was. What they didn't leave was about a third of the over bought shingles. Not a single piece was left behind to patch something in the future. They also didn't touch an overhang after one of the crew fell through it. It needed to be replaced. SG asked me if I knew a carpenter who could fix it? Huh? He later wrote me an estimate that involved $600 in shingles. The same shingles that I had already paid for. No thanks. It then took him a week and several excuses before the three bundles of shingles that I had paid for were delivered to me for someone else to repair the overhang. Don't ever pay anyone in cash. Don't ever pay everything until the job is completed. There are companies out there that will do that.
