I HIGHLY recommend Connell's barber shop! I recently moved to the Lexington Area from Massachusetts and needed a haircut. My first haircut at a popular haircut franchise was a disaster and I needed to make sure I avoided a similar scenario on my second time around. After doing a bit of research online and finding a couple of convincing reviews, I decided that it would be a good idea to try out Connell's. I could not be happier with my decision. The shop is inviting and the staff is extremely friendly. I received an excellent haircut with an old fashion style barber experience. I was lucky enough to have the owner cut my hair and she was amazing! She took the time to ensure that I got the exact haircut that I wanted. She insisted that if I found anything at all that was wrong with my hair, even after I got home, to please come back in and she will make it right. I have never had a barber make this commitment. She also took the time to get to know a little more about me, which is something that I appreciate. She was quick to provide awesome recommendations on local restaurants and even local fishing spots. The other Barbers even chimed in to offer suggestions. She even made sure to write down the names of these recommendations on a piece of paper before I left to ensure I remembered. I use to cut my own hair as I could never find anyone that would or could cut my hair the way I like it and keep the cut hair off of my shirt. One day I was driving through Lexington and needed a hair cut and decided to stop in and give this place a try. When I walked in it was very busy but with that said a smiling face walked up to me ready to help. She introduced herself and I explained the problems with my hair and she said I can help you. Best hair cut I ever had. After months of going there I then find out that the barber Kim Lawson actually own the place. She has a wonderful personality and cuts my hair just the way I like it, without all the hair getting all over me which drives me insane. I'm an out-of- towner, who visits relatives in Lexington for extended periods of time. Whenever I need a good haircut, with friendly staff, clean, and keeping up with the times, I make a short trip to Connell's. I always get a great hair cut, and a pleasant experience. I moved to Lexington in 2006 where my daughter is a nurse. I have been going to Connell's Barber Shop for the last two years and it's a very friendly place. Since my wife enjoys looking through thrift shops, having one nearby keeps her busy while I get my hair cut. Going anyplace else would be ridiculous. The hours are great as well. This Barber Shop is full of the sweetest, most patient, professional barbers I've seen. My child behaves usually anyway, but they went above and beyond for him!
