I went there to shop, and as soon as I walked onto the floor, security started following me. Being followed around ruined my entire shopping experience. Every time I go there, it feels very uncomfortable to shop. They have police at the entrance and security harassing Black men as they try to shop. Burlington Coat Factory is a terrible place for a Black man to shop because they racially profile you as a criminal. It's located in a Black community, yet it targets Black men while they're simply trying to shop. It does not feel safe shopping there. You're treated as guilty before you're even seen as a customer. I hate that Burlington Coat Factory made me feel this way. Just a terrible place to shop. "Boycott this Burlington Coat Factory!"

So I was about to spend some quality time in here however my bladder was acting up and they claimed restroom was not in working order. Management if you want people to spend time and money in your store make sure to have a restroom available. It's completely unacceptable and waste of time for your customers to go find a restroom that they can use. I went downstairs and asked Raymour and Flanigan if they knew of a public restroom and they were so kind to let me use theirs. Did I bother going back upstairs to Burlington? No. Why should I? What if I have to go to the bathroom again? I think it should be illegal for stores not to have restrooms available for their customers

When we returned a few days later, the store was relatively quiet, lines were short, and we did our business vowing to shop only on weekdays. I'd never been to an urban Costco. I was hoping (though not optimistic) that perhaps they accommodate city-dwellers with smaller containers of Kirkland detergent. Nope. Merchandise was the same as what I'm used to, which (other than that heavy thing of detergent) is good. Same-priced rotisserie chickens, same smoked salmon, same drug products. Same everything. The store is undoubtedly dingier than what I'm used to, but it's stocked, albeit with a little less than their suburban counterparts. What got me was check-out. Thursday late morning, the lines were nuts. Are they giving things away?! While I won't penalize a store for its popularity, I'm not sure I'll be back. With a teeny apartment, I can't buy or store much. Unless it's something I realllllly want, I'm not wasting time for four or five items behind scores of people with full carts. The hotdog line however, was relatively short. Hmmm.

Hot Dog and a fountain drink for $1.50 over BJ's Dunkin' Donuts stand!!! (BJ's should have kept their own concession!) Perhaps it was timing and/or its popularity, the service seemed slow even when ordering from the digital kiosk and the napkin dispenser needed refilling. (It's awkward eating a frank with toppings when you have a mustache and requires napkins!)

Today I was looking for a spice shaker and I found the very helpful owner. He's working hard. He showed me the isle walking me through the store and left me to look at what he had. After a while he came back to check on me. The store just didn't have what I needed. I'm updating my review and recommend you check the store out if you live or work nearby. It's an enormous variety of products and fun to look even if you don't buy anything. It does get crowded with customers so get there early.

Super nice gentleman and we chatted a bit. We don't have a store like this in the neighborhood and it's a nice addition. He is looking to maybe open a another location too. The store itself is jam packed with everything at discount prices. You may name it and you can find it here. From household items to personal needs products it's crazy how much you'll find just walking the aisles here. Hope they last as it's nice to have a go-to store like this if you need something quickly. Now they just need to get rid of that pesky construction awning they are stuck under so you can see it.
