Facing South From top floor of parking garage. 05/01/18

I'm true to my word. I said if I saw improvement I would update my review. Today the elevator was broken again but the improvements were outweighing that problem. Besides the escalators were working. They have repaved the front ground floor. There's colorful artwork now. There's plenty of signs guiding you to the stores. I've never seen garbage or clutter in the area. I noticed an abundance of security personnel today. That's a plus. This place gets crowded on the weekend. In all I'm maintaining my opinion that this shopping plaza is badly needed here. I'm so glad I have this a walk or bus ride away. Two miles round trip.

This place has got the goods in terms of cheap, quality shopping. Costco and Aldi are great for food, Target is great for basically everything, and you also have an Old Navy, a Marshall's, a shoe store, a furniture store, and a Gamestop. My question is why did the Best Buy close down, and what are they going to replace it with? The only thing that seems to be missing here is a food court... or at least a well placed fast food restaurant. Chipotle, PF Chang, McDonald's, Papa Johns... where y'all at!?!

A strange concrete behemoth of nearly 500,000 sq ft and over 1,200 parking spaces. Contains a Costco; a Target; a Best Buy; etc. But I find the whole concept a bit ill-advised. Who profited off this deal? Who is it really serving? Manhattanites? People in Manhattan have the lowest per capita car ownership in the city. Who are all these parking spaces for then? Why would anyone brave the horrendous Manhattan gridlock to shop here? I notice the reviews so far praise the 'emptiness' of the stores. Yeah, that figures!

Yes. Although the area has changed and a lot of the old stores aren't there anymore, its still a couple left.

I went there to shop, and as soon as I walked onto the floor, security started following me. Being followed around ruined my entire shopping experience. Every time I go there, it feels very uncomfortable to shop. They have police at the entrance and security harassing Black men as they try to shop. Burlington Coat Factory is a terrible place for a Black man to shop because they racially profile you as a criminal. It's located in a Black community, yet it targets Black men while they're simply trying to shop. It does not feel safe shopping there. You're treated as guilty before you're even seen as a customer. I hate that Burlington Coat Factory made me feel this way. Just a terrible place to shop. "Boycott this Burlington Coat Factory!"

So I was about to spend some quality time in here however my bladder was acting up and they claimed restroom was not in working order. Management if you want people to spend time and money in your store make sure to have a restroom available. It's completely unacceptable and waste of time for your customers to go find a restroom that they can use. I went downstairs and asked Raymour and Flanigan if they knew of a public restroom and they were so kind to let me use theirs. Did I bother going back upstairs to Burlington? No. Why should I? What if I have to go to the bathroom again? I think it should be illegal for stores not to have restrooms available for their customers

When we returned a few days later, the store was relatively quiet, lines were short, and we did our business vowing to shop only on weekdays. I'd never been to an urban Costco. I was hoping (though not optimistic) that perhaps they accommodate city-dwellers with smaller containers of Kirkland detergent. Nope. Merchandise was the same as what I'm used to, which (other than that heavy thing of detergent) is good. Same-priced rotisserie chickens, same smoked salmon, same drug products. Same everything. The store is undoubtedly dingier than what I'm used to, but it's stocked, albeit with a little less than their suburban counterparts. What got me was check-out. Thursday late morning, the lines were nuts. Are they giving things away?! While I won't penalize a store for its popularity, I'm not sure I'll be back. With a teeny apartment, I can't buy or store much. Unless it's something I realllllly want, I'm not wasting time for four or five items behind scores of people with full carts. The hotdog line however, was relatively short. Hmmm.

Super nice gentleman and we chatted a bit. We don't have a store like this in the neighborhood and it's a nice addition. He is looking to maybe open a another location too. The store itself is jam packed with everything at discount prices. You may name it and you can find it here. From household items to personal needs products it's crazy how much you'll find just walking the aisles here. Hope they last as it's nice to have a go-to store like this if you need something quickly. Now they just need to get rid of that pesky construction awning they are stuck under so you can see it.
