I felt comfortable enough to book Maki to do my bridal nails close to my wedding without working with her before. I was lucky that she could accommodate me on short notice. Usually, she's booked out in advance and takes new clients rarely. Pre-booking with a deposit is required. So if you can get your nails done with Maki, do it! I gave her a few designs I liked, just a classic simple French manicure with white floral designs. She added some extra detailing and her spin, like pearls to the middle finger, to match my veil. I thought I needed to extend all my nails but I'm glad she gave me advice that I didn't need to as long as the nails are shaped well I can still get the look without discomfort after the event. We only extended one nail that was too short. She's located inside the Vermilion Medical Spa and rents a chair to work from. Green P parking around Elmwood Street and Yonge. Although the best way is to get there by TTC near North York Centre station.

I chatted with Adele Hair on Instagram for a bit & they suggested Daniel. I'm very allergic to fragrances so I came with my hair already washed but not styled. Daniel was able to work with me & gave me a hair style that I liked. It was totally different from what my old hair dresser would do so I liked it. About 3 months later I wanted another haircut & booked Daniel again. This time I brought my own fragrance free shampoo, conditioner & styling products. I'm so thankful that Daniel was open to using my products as the salon doesn't have anything fragrance free. Daniel gave me a cut I liked. While he was washing & cutting my hair we got to know each other a little better. He's such a nice guy. I will be coming back to get my hair cut by Daniel in the future. I'm happy with his skills as a hair stylist. The salon is a nice place as well. They have other services besides hair cuts. I will likely explore the other services the salon has in the future. The salon is also conveniently located on Yonge street across from a mall. So there are other things to do in the area if you're waiting for your appointment.

Remember to take your shoes off and wear slippers when you are inside! Once they set you up with a consultant, you get to decide the style of your lashes. This includes length, thickness, curl and design. They will guide you through what looks best on you dont worry! Eyelash extensions are done in a room with about 5 or so beds with curtains in between. You can hear the conversations around you... Or the snoring from whoever had fallen asleep. Lol and yes I guarantee that you will fall asleep. All the technicians have been very gentle in the applications I've had. They had signs up that they will increasing their prices soon, not sure if that is in effect but I think for thr service that you get and the quality of the lashes its pretty much worth it. TL;DR Great place. Great customer service. You pick the style of your lashes.

It asks for your purpose and how recent you had your lashes done etc. She did an amazing job and my lashes lasted so much longer than I expected! When I went for a return visit, she had pulled up my previous data and asked if I'd like the same style which I really liked the ease of pulling up my profile. The price isn't too bad. It's average and expected. It's nice if you have a points card and bonus if you pay cash.

They take notes of what was used in session so that for next time, they can pull up the information from their booklet to use the same one. Unfortunately, I don't have many lashes to begin with so I usually just go with express set and I usually have to wait a couple of months before doing them again so that my lashes grow back. Normally I can get a refill once before I let them rest though. These lashes last for a long time too. Perhaps 4-5 weeks for me and you can still see them, whereas with other places, it was only 3 weeks. It's also hard not to fall asleep during the session because their memory foam portable beds are so comfortable! Book an appointment at least 1.5-2 weeks ahead if you're looking for a specific time/date. It takes 1-2 hours depending on your lashes and what you want. They have a phone number where you can text for appointments or you can message via Yelp.

Lashes started coming off the next day but it was just a couple so it didn't impact the overall look. After 1 week, the lashes look messy - going in all directions. If this was my first time, then I wouldn't have any expectations but it isn't so I am quite disappointed with the results. Maybe this is the norm in Toronto but the ones I've done in Boston and New York stayed on and in a manageable fashion for weeks.

The hair quality she uses is the best I've ever had. She came and color matched me for free and did the extensions a few days later at my condo. After 6 months with the extensions I was able to have them removed and new bondings put on and the hair can be used again! I will never go without extensions now!
