With soo many reviews of forceful tipping we will not be going here. The response from the owner is appalling at best. It is not the consumers responsibility to pay a living wage, it is the business owners responsibility to make sure their employees earn a livable/competitive salary. It seems that the person responsible for angry employees is the owner and then their frustration is being taken out on customers. When the consumer expresses their experience the management is justified by the owner in MOST Instances and she's blaming costumers, in a few reviews she assures this issue has been handled and won't happen again. One response Susan writes "you would not get your nails done without tipping", personally I absolutely would, a tip is based on the experience from the consumers point of view, in TOTAL not just that a service was performed. Consumers already pay for the services rendered, if that is not sufficient to pay employees then factor the gratuity in the price of services ..... truly disappointing given that there aren't many massage parlors in west seattle, and a lot of people including ourselves want to support local businesses. read more

Before coming, I was a bit intimidated by the comments about tipping, but a friend who frequents here told me to really give it a try. To be honest, this massage shop is really worth the money, and the massage therapists are really good at massage techniques. I have pain and discomfort in my shoulders and back due to long-term sitting and standing work, but the massage therapist are very good at relieving my pain through traditional Chinese acupuncture points. The traditional Chinese medicinal oil they use is very useful. I think giving them a good tip is a respect and affirmation of their efforts and skills. read more

Average massage, but Luci was rude the first time, yelling at me to relax when my muscle was twitching and then really yelling when she thought I didn't tip her enough. I thought I would give it another try and brought more money to tip her, but this time she yelled even louder when I asked her to work on my shoulder, to the point where her boss in other room asked what was wrong! She then brought up again that I should have tipped more the first time and that she only got tips for pay! I at first liked going here but after today leaving a 20% tip, one of the employees said I should leave 30% and tried to force me to change my tip charge on my credit card. First of all, this is unprofessional and secondly if I felt I wanted to leave more I would have. I would say more about the entire massage and other issues (which there are) but I won't go there. I would say think before you go here because they are push with leaving tip. I get it's the pandemic and two people bullying me at the end of my massage was not what I expected. I have been going to see Lucy and Emily at Li Asian Massage since 2020. They have been amazing in tending to my aching body on a monthly basis. I've brought my sisters and my partner and they've all loved it! Yes, granted, it's not what you would expect in a more expensive, more "refined" spa - they're not the most professional in that there can sometimes be some interruptions like other folks have said, language barriers, but that's also the price you pay for getting a significantly reduced, and very quality massage for basically 60% of the cost of any massage (like seriously, you cannot find another 90 min massage for $105! they're at least $150 elsewhere)! AND if you're willing to be patient and understanding, they get the job done with exceptional technique, wonderful personalities, and knowledge of acupressure. AND yes of course give a good tip - i always give 30% because they always deserve it. read more

Lucy is such a TERRIFIC massage therapist, I drive 45 minutes to West Seattle to receive the benefit of her FANTASTIC massages. Extremely PROFESSIONAL, SKILLED, and CARING she can feel the tensions, knots and tight areas and knows just how to treat. She frequently checks to ensure to the massage is working for me and quickly adjusts to any requests. The deep tissue massage comes with hot stone treatments which are delightful. I have seen dozens of massage therapists over the years, and Lucy is the ABSOLUTE BEST in Seattle. I most strongly recommend you avail yourself of Lucy's talents. I have been coming to this massage parlor for 2 1/2 to 3 years now, I sometimes come in once a week depending on how often I am in Seattle. Although they have multiple massage therapist I try to make sure that Loucey is available to give me my massage. She has very strong hands for deep tissue, and soft hands if you just want something more relaxing. They, also have bars across the ceiling that allows them to walk on your back if you want them to. Loucey, is very good at that allowing her use the amount of pressure you would want. The price is very reasonable and competitive considering the location. Some places charge extra for hot rocks but they have always included at no extra charge. If you articulate prior to your massage what you're looking for they will go out of their way to make you happy. read more

This place has the worst service in town the massage therapist kept on yelling in me to leave more tips and would not charge me and she would not let me go this lady needs to relax and get a massage herself. Massage was average/decent, the service was delivered. My issue is that they only accept cash unless you want the extra fee on your debit card. Booking my appointment, i confirmed SEVERAL times with the lady of how much the total would cost so i could have the right amount of cash on hand. When it was time to pay i gave her what it cost in cash and she laid the money on the desk saying it wasn't enough.. In plain sight it was the correct amount for the massage i chose. She pressured me into paying a tip and wouldn't let me leave. I told her "this is all the cash i have" and she said "well do you have a card". i ended up using my card for a tip/extra cost i wasn't planning on.
