I had an awful experience with LI Vino Tours. I am turning 30 next week and was very excited to do a wine tour with this company. I requested a quote via their website on 5/20/21. I wanted additional information so I contacted Al directly after receiving an email from him. We spoke on the phone about the date I requested (6/12/21) as well as the amount of people in my group. He proceeded to tell me he could accommodate our group of 18 and confirmed that day and time slot was available. After our discussion over the phone he sent a detailed reservation confirmation. He informed me that I would have to pay the deposit to secure that day so I called him about an hour later once I was finished at work. Al didn't answer my call and instead texted me saying to "text him". I reminded him who I was and indicated that I was calling to pay the deposit for 6/12/21. Al then tells me that the party bus had already been booked for 6/12/21 as of that morning. This was confusing because we had a conversation that afternoon and I received a reservation confirmation email as well. If the bus was booked that morning, why wasn't I made aware of this on our phone call? Why was I sent a reservation confirmation email? Communication with Al was very poor and he was extremely nonchalant about the "mix-up". For those of you who don't know, this wine tour only includes tastings at the first vineyard and one bottle per every 3 people at the second vineyard. That is definitely not enough alcohol to have a good time lol so be prepared to dish out extra money at the vineyards. They also were only going to provide cold sandwich wraps instead of the "hot food" mentioned on their website, yet the price remained the same. Also, his party bus doesn't have a bathroom. I couldn't imagine how difficult it would be for a party of my size (18) to try to hold in their pee the duration of the ride, or to have to inconveniently stop at a rest stop. For my 45th birthday my husband booked a tour for me and 5 my girlfriends and Honestly it was the worst wine tour I have ever been on. First- driver was over 10 minutes late with no notification. Second -we were packed into a small suv , where one of my guests had to sit up front with the driver. Third , the driver started out driving west instead of east and during the drive swerved multiple times into other lanes and even drove into ongoing traffic. Fourth, when we get to our first winery, it took over 15-20 minutes for us to get anything to drink. The food was from sandwiches from king kullen and for some reason we were set up outside when my husband requested us to sit inside ( there was plenty of setting). We were given our food all the containers from king kullen sealed and no plates. Just a side note- my husband was told we would be served a lunch in the VIP section. Finally, on the way home the driver again swerved multiple times into other lanes and was texting and driving.. This was just some of what happened. We did not enjoy ourselves and would not recommend this company for the price my husband paid. read more

Tried to book this but due to limo crash in NY this month want to make sure they were registered and drivers were licensed to drive the limo. Called dot first they couldn't find them under both names. Called them and ask them for there dot number he said send what we want and they would give to us. Buyer beware based on the reviews I read about older limos and not in good condition and the Fact that they didn't want to give their dot number which they have to have if they are carry more than 8 people I would be not be using them. If limo companies are following the rules they would post their insurance and dot registration. You want to do the right thing to hire a limo and not drink and drive. No actual "tour" of the vineyard or barrel storage. Although. After 3 winery's and dozens of wine tasting. Wondering how wine is made goes out window. All in all. You could tell the limo was really old as the TV didn't work (not a big deal), the leather seats were ripped and the grill of the car was missing a panel. It was honestly kind of embarrassing. The vineyards they took us to were overcrowded a had limited drinks. I would be sure to check with them on how the drink and wine bottle process works. The day was perfect for a bachelorette party consisting of 17 women. We went to 3 wineries and left from Clifton, NJ (a 10 hour package) On a positive note, the weather was amazing and we did not feel rushed at all. Our party bus driver, Jason, was perfection. He was nothing but professional and kept me informed of any traffic concerns so we made the most of each vineyard. At the second vineyard, we were served our lunch. During the planning process, I asked Al what types of wraps were included and he stated: turkey, roast beef and vegetable, along with some cold salads. This worked out perfectly since we had a handful of women who were vegan and some others who preferred vegetarian. To our frustration, when the lunch was delivered there was no vegetable wraps to be found. When I brought this to Al and Michael's attention their response was "Sorry,.maybe try to buy something at the food truck, or have them eat crudite" Mind you, the crudite platters we brought along with us, so they really did not provide any resolve or show any concern. One of them actually said , "I will reimburse you 8 dollars for the sandwich." When you are paying $4K for an all day event, I find that statement to be rude and unprofessional. They said they will never use this company again but I warn you to double check that they will not be using WhiteStar Limo. Only reason I am giving 4 stars is because I can't believe they booked a limo service with the type of HORRIBLE reviews on White Star's Yelp with multiple 1 star reviews. I could never imagine partnering with a vendor with that many 1 star reviews. I booked VZ limo for my sister's bachelorette party - a wine tour in Long Island's North Fork for six people. Renting a limo for a full day certainly isn't cheap but VZ is comparable, if not less, in price than others offering wine tours in the area. We, luckily, weren't an overly raucous (or in any way sloppy) bachelorette group which I'm sure made things much easier on the driver. They're great when it comes to offering a package deal - for an extra cost, they'll arrange all tastings at 3 vineyards, plus lunch from a local deli. Cost for pickup in Manhattan was an extra $150 which wasn't bad considering it's an extra 2 hours round trip. Overall, I'd recommend VZ. The contract process was a bit frustrating since it seemed like a neverending loop of emails. I'd give 'em 4 stars honestly but I'm a bit torn. I got an email yesterday offering me a discount in exchange for a positive review on Google....and to me, that's shady. read more

The only reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1 star is because Al, the manager, was great. He always answered his phone and was helpful in answering my questions. Also, the price was a few hundred dollars cheaper than at competitors. A few weeks ago, I booked a 7-person limo tour for one of my best friends' bachelorettes. We wanted a fun ladies day where we could visit wineries and have a blast. The limo arrived on time and the driver, Steve, was very nice. However, our limo smelled like a porta potty (apologies for the graphic image) and was pretty gross to sit in for 7 hours, with many of the bridesmaids feeling queasy. (Not what you want during a bachelorette!) Also, Steve got lost on Shelter Island (understandable) but didn't check a map for at least 30 minutes, so we lost a lot of time on our way home. We ended up spending about 6 hours on the tour. Also, the first vineyard we went to, Pugliese Vineyards, I found to be very depressing. It was a wide open indoor space (sort of like a banquet hall for middle school parties) that was pretty empty around lunchtime, and they were selling cheap hotel-like artwork leaning against the walls. I don't think this is the best winery for them to send us to. The other two, Osprey and Vino 42, were fun. I don't like to write negative reviews so I called Al to tell him about the smell and that I would be writing a negative Yelp review. We had an excellent experience with LI Vino. I reached out to several winery tour companies and Al was one of the first to get back to me. His package price was competitive and the reviews were great. I corresponded with Al frequently leading up to the day of our winery tour as our group had a lot of questions. Al always got back to me promptly. Our driver Pat was courteous, professional, accommodating and friendly. Our pick up was 10:30am. Pat arrived early and called to let us know but didn't rush us at all. He helped us with our bags, helped us into and out of the limo, etc as all good drivers should. There was water and a bottle of local wine in the limo. Once we got to the wineries he escorted us inside and got us all set up. At the second winery there were some stools set up instead of seats. Pat quickly went and got us some comfy chairs. He let us know what our timeline would be at each place and always arrived early but didn't rush us. Lunch was pretty good. Everyone liked their food. No complaints. We didn't like the third winery (our fault, Pat tried to politely inform us it wasn't his fave but didn't want to push us into not going and regretting it). Al made the planning process a breeze and accommodated our group with pleasure, specifically one girl with dietary restrictions and one girl who is pregnant. VZ Limo was amazing to me! I was recently on a tour to the vineyards with a group a friends and we had a great experience! The driver, Steve, was very accommodating to our group with extra rest stops. Even when our food orders were mixed up he went back to fix them! After getting home I realized I lost my sunglasses. I called the vineyards but haven't heard back. I called VZ Limo and they called the driver we had that day and they found them! I used LI Vino Tours for the second time and once again, was highly impressed!! I secured a car and driver for me and my three sisters, to celebrate "the baby's" 50th Birthday. We had originally planned a 6 hour tour including tastings at 2 vineyards as well as lunch. I was a little apprehensive about planning this type of celebration during Covid19 but Al reassured me about the safety measures put in place and I started to feel better. We were going to have a reserved table at Ospreys Dominion but not at Duck Walk. I was concerned about not getting into Duck Walk so asked Al if we could just stay at Osprey for the day. He was more than willing to work with me and we had the most relaxing afternoon. My sisters are from out of state and as much as I would have loved for them to try more than one tasting, we all agreed that we felt safer staying in one place. There was live music, beautiful scenery and we had a delicious lunch and of course, amazing wine! Our driver Vlad was very accommodating - he took pictures, brought our wine and lunch over so all we had to do was sit back and enjoy. The actual tour was perfect I had a very large group and Al and the bus driver went above and beyond to assure that we had a wonderful time. Due to COVID we had to split our group into 2 because of restrictions at the wineries but everyone still had an amazing time. However, there were a few things that were a bit of a turn off for me. 1. My tour was booked before the pandemic started, however due to the pandemic we had to push it back. I had to contact the company to inquire about this as there was no notice sent. Furthermore, when tours resumed I did not receive any notice then either. It wasn't until I reached out that I found out that tours had resumed, this was very upsetting considering I had already put down a significant deposit. I felt people who had already given money should have been the first to know when tours resumed and given first dibs on dates, however that was not the case. 2. After we settled on a new date it wasn't until I looked at the new contract that I realized we would only be visiting 2 wineries instead of the 3 my group originally paid for. This is another very big adjustment that I feel the owner should have been upfront about instead of me noticing on my own. 3. We were promised additional wine bottles to make up for the fact that we could not visit the original 3 wineries we were promised and we did not get that. While I think Al is a very nice guy and my group had an amazing time. I am not a fan of the lack of communication. read more

We booked a group wine tour through Al Fresco Wine Tours (then LiVino) earlier this month for 20ish of us in our mid 20's. Shant was very helpful via email and over the phone when we were in our initial planning stages, and Al was very friendly and helpful once we got to the vineyard. Our food orders were all correct and ready waiting for us when we arrived at the first vineyard, Osprey's Dominion, with chilled bottles of white wine. Al was happy to take group photos for us and said he would send them to us via email and post them on their facebook page, which we're looking forward to seeing. We then went to Vineyard 48, which was a blast. We were having so much fun that they let us extend our time there for an hour for just $10/person. There was also a bathroom on our party bus, which was a huge plus. I had such a great time that I recommended this to my sister to do for her 23rd birthday, and she did. So I just went back and did it all again this past weekend, and would definitely recommend it to others and would love to do it again! read more

My friends and I took this tour recently to celebrate her bachelorette. Due to COVID, we had to cancel our original plans several times. I booked a group wine tour through VZ Limo for my 23rd birthday for 11 of my friends. We went to Osprey's Dominion where they served us lunch and immediately brought over several bottles of wine for us to sample. They also took a lot of pictures of my friends and I that they will send to you. We also played corn-hole and bought a few extra bottles of wine to take home with us. The second vinyard we went to was Vinyard 48 which was so much fun! We ordered pitchers of Sangria and they played the best music the entire time. If you weren't in the mood to dance you would sit outside, there were several picnic tables and chairs set up close to the outside tasting section. There was also a food truck there if you wanted some snacks. All of the staff were very friendly and so attentive if you needed something. They were very fast with replying to emails (within an hour or two) and were always very friendly. I am defiantly looking forward to booking my next wine tour through this company! read more

I had the BEST experience with this company! I have to admit, I was suspicious when I read all the rave reviews, but they lived up to every great thing everyone else said. Al was so helpful and responsive when we were setting everything up. Then our limo driver, Mario, was awesome. He showed up right on time, a few minutes early, actually. He made sure the AC and radio were working before we left, let us know how long the ride would be, and we were off. There were cold bottles of water waiting for us in the limo. We went to Pugliese, Ospreys Dominion, and Baiting Hollow. Each location was beautiful, and the wines were fantastic. At our first stop, Mario brought us a bag of food to feed to the fish in the pond, which was nice. He took pictures for our group so we could all be in it. Then at the next stop Mario escorted us to our reserved table in the shade, where we met Al. They brought us two bottles of delicious wine along with our lunch orders. We opted for the wraps and chips, which I honestly thought were going to be nothing special, but they were great! I got the chicken and Swiss, my other friend got the eggplant, and the last two got the turkey. All of us ate every last bite. No complaints from anyone! Again, Mario took pictures for us, and we were off to our last stop, Baiting Hollow. There we got more great wines (the Pink Satin was especially good), and we purchased a cheese plate, which we ate while listening to the soulful live band. Then we went and looked at the horses and ponies until it was time to go. Mario got us home safe and sound, joking with us the whole time. I'd arranged this for my friend's birthday and she absolutely loved it. We all had a blast and the 7 hours flew by. I'm not a big spender, but this was worth every penny. I have been dealing with Al for the past 3 weeks when planning my birthday, and he provided me with exceptional service. He was very friendly and knowledgable. He even made an appearance during our wine tour to take pictures which was an absolute delight. Axel, our limo driver, was absolutely amazing as well. He dealt with my friends and I whom were a bunch of girls having fun and listening to music on the ride, and never once did he get annoyed. Additionally, I did not know what to expect from the lunch. I was nervous because this was my first wine tour, and it was also part of the plan I made to propose to my girlfriend. What an amazing company! From the start i spoke to Al, he was so accommodating and helpful so I knew I didn't want to go with any other company. We had a spectacular north fork three winery tour through LiVino. Shant was terrific in helping to plan the day and unbelievably responsive to all email inquiries. Our limo driver Steve was fantastic. He showed up right on time to pick us up and arranged everything for us at each winery we went to. He made sure everything ran seamlessly. He brought our lunch to a table outside at our second winery and brought us sodas and waters and left a box for our garbage.
