This is my dinner review: What an amazing experience. I appreciate their brunch but the weekend dinner was phenomenal. They have a small staff and each plate felt attended to with thoughtfulness. The food is beautifully plated, like the modern posh restaurant we often see on Instagram, and the flavor of each plate was creative. I loved every bite. The restaurant was intimate and part of me wishes it stays off the radar. It's really hard to believe the restaurant was not as packed. Amazing service, amazing food. What a chic new brunch spot. Hubby and I went on a whim and it did not disappoint. The Mangu was delish (chef's kiss). The Lomo Saltado was good but I would have preferred crispier fries & some traditional rice. The green pesto in the noodles was a little strong in flavor and overpowered the Lomo IMO. I really really wanted to like this place but they made it so hard. When we first sat down our waitress immediately asked what we wanted to order before even allowing us to look at the menus. My mom's coffee came in a dirty cup so not off to a great start. We were given our appetizers without plates and had to ask three times for plates. When we finally got our plates to eat our appetizers our entrees were arriving at the same time. ‍ Our waitress proceeded to place our entrees on our crowded table and I had to ask her to keep them warm in the back while we finished our appetizers because obviously we don't want plates piled on top of one another on a small table simply because it took them 10 minutes to give us appetizer plates. Anyway fast forward our entrees were not good. The carne lunch dish that I ordered was a plate of watery beans, over cooked plaintains and flavorless chicken. The best part of the meal was the yucca fries and sauce, they were yummy but everything else was extremely underwhelming. At the end we had to ask three times for take out containers and then our waitress brought us two very small containers, which clearly given the amount of food we had left, we'd need at least four. Our lunch ended with me apologizing to my mom for taking her to this establishment. There's just too many great restaurants in Montclair for this spot to think they can honestly skate by being mediocre. Never again! read more

This is my third time at this lovely café. The first time was for coffee and a pastry which was delightful. The second time was for lunch, which was so delicious. It blew me away. Came for dinner and it was excellent from start to finish! We had the shrimp app which was great, then had the short rib and pork belly - both were fantastic. The service was perfect and the meal was also perfectly paced, which is a detail that many other restaurants in the area overlook. My absolute favorite part was the tres leches cake - our waitress set the last one aside for us knowing I am 9 months pregnant! It was such a great experience. This place is not to be missed. Came here for breakfast with a girlfriend, it was amazing, I had the vegetarian eggs which were delicious, we also got ceviche at 10am which was equally amazing. The waiters were very friendly. Even though this place is new I have already tried almost everything on the menu. I love all their dishes I have yet to have a dish miss its mark. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful and spacious. Even though its not on the menu I always ask for a side of fried cheese Coffee is delicious and service is great. Especially the tall fella I don't know his name unfortunately but he is so great, friendly and attentive!! Their bakery items are BOMB. Wow and I glad Libelula opened in Montclair!! What a fantastic spot. Brian (chef/owner) is so nice and friendly and his food is DELICIOUS. His wife's pastries and desserts are INCREDIBLE. The servers are sweet and solid. And the room is very nice. You cannot go wrong with this place. We keep coming back and bringing friends. Very nice and naturally lit. Food: promising, but just ok for now. I expect actual plates and mugs if I'm dining in. Instead, i got a paper cup and a to-go pastry. I was not jazzed by the egg & cheese empanada. It was bland. Maybe i expected more flavor, given "Peruvian" and "Dominican" are in the description. However, that empanada dough had great taste, so I'm looking forward to taste other flavors. And that cheese would be FIRE in a cheese & guava empanada. Wonderful bakery & cafe. Had breakfast here yesterday and the vegetable omelette was beyond delicious. The vegetables were finely shredded and it was cooked perfectly. Coffee is excellent with oat milk option, which I love. The bakery items I tried (which were many!) were all to die for. The Croissant was warm, buttery and flaky. The chocolate bread pudding was decadent, choclatey and delicious. The brown butter cookies are the best chocolate chip cookies I've literally ever had. I could basically eat there every day except that I would gain too much weight!! Definitely will be back and highly recommend!! read more
