Excellent food. Superb service. Excellent quality. Great value. Convenient location. BYOB. Friendly and accommodating staff. Party friendly. Best tasting Spanish food in the entire county.

Out with the family on Father's Day - this neighborhood friendly Latin American flavor restaurant. the service was outstanding and the food was very very good. The menu has a wide variety of Latin inspired food. We all sample each other's entrées and they were delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Are you kidding me!!! AWESOME food. Attentive service at a reasonable price. We forgot to take the picture before we ate half of our dinners.

Such a gem for Bloomfield. Big portions and pricing very reasonable. Enjoyed the arroz negro, ceviche and steak. Food does come out slow so not a place for a quick meal. Street parking and it's byob.

Visited with my father, who was excited since he's from Tenares in the Dominican Republic. I had the grilled chicken breast with rice, beans, maduros, and mango sauce--everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. My dad loved his flounder with garlic sauce. The service was excellent; our waitress was patient and helpful, and the owner kindly introduced himself as we were leaving. Highly recommend Tenares for authentic Dominican food and a welcoming atmosphere!

YUMMM! I've been wanting to try this new neighborhood spot & I'm so glad I did! I did an online order of two orders of empanadas (3.5), the seafood stew (4.5) and the chicharron (5!). The empanadas were loaded but a little dry inside, the seafood stew was a generous portion and the broth was outrageously flavorful & I will definitely be ordering the chicharron again - it's the perfect app or side with the maduros! The woman working was so kind & the vibe inside was a little nicer than I expected, making it a nice dinner spot. Giving a 5, because I can't give a 4.5 overall. I will absolutely be going again & recommend supporting this spot! :)

Arroz morro has no flavor, grilled chicken breast tasted burnt with no flavor as well. Highly unappetizing

Second thing, the food was amazing, but there is a long wait which is totally fine, it is worthy but they must inform us that the wait will be lo no which they did not, this way we can kinda prepare and not be upset maybe get some extra apps. Overall the food is definitely what saves the place and you can bring your own wine which is great. They do not serve alcoholic beverages.

My husband and I came to Mr. Esquisito for a Friday night date around 7:00 p.m. We didn't need a…read morereservation, which was nice. The restaurant is small, seating only about 25-30 people, creating an intimate atmosphere. However, the lighting is so dim that I had to take a second look just to read the menu. I'll start with the positive: our waiter was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. My only criticism was that he couldn't really recommend a standout dish when we asked what the restaurant was known for. For appetizers, I ordered the octopus. Unfortunately, it was inconsistent. Half was perfectly tender, while the other half was so tough it was difficult to chew. It was served over an ajillo sauce that was good, but not enough to save the dish. My husband ordered empanadas. The steak filling was much better than the chicken. He asked if he could order one steak, one shrimp, and one chicken, but was told they don't allow mixing flavors. For my entrée, I ordered the ribeye with white rice and beans and added a lobster tail with butter sauce. The ribeye itself was cooked well, but the sides were disappointing. The beans had a strange flavor, and the rice was mushy and completely lacked seasoning. The lobster tail was fine, but nothing special. The ribeye was $58, and adding the lobster tail brought the plate to $72. At that price point, I expected an exceptional meal, not one where the sides were the weakest part of the plate. My husband ordered the skirt steak with peppers, French fries, and maduros. His steak was good, but we both agreed the side options felt like an odd combination. The menu could definitely use some more thoughtful pairings. We boxed up our leftovers, but unfortunately the food didn't even reheat well the next day. Our bill came to $233 for two people. On top of that, gratuity was automatically added, and there was a $10 fee for paying with a debit card. That was an unpleasant surprise and made an already expensive meal feel even more overpriced. For over $200, I expect to leave saying, "I can't wait to come back." Instead, I left feeling like I had paid Manhattan prices for a very average meal. Unfortunately, this wasn't the experience we were hoping for, and I don't think we'll be back. FYI: everything says M/P on it for Market Price. Which means they can charge you what they see fit which gives me an inconsistent vibe.

Place is welcoming and had nice natural lighting. We got their Huevos Rancheros, roasted chicken, tuna chaufa and lomo saltado. everything was great - good portions and beautiful flavors! Especially loved their Earl Grey latte too. the flavors of tea and espresso were very well balanced I would love to get that drink again. Also got their smores cookie for a nice sweet ending. We ended up chatting away even after we dined. Staff was very polite reminding us they needed the spot and was also kind enough to give us a some time even before the reminder. My friend and I asked if they sell pan con chicharrón, and though they don't have it on the menu, the chef (Brian) said he'd make it for us! First impression of the service ... amazing. We got the pan con chicharrón and I truly almost cried! I have not had one as delicious as this one in Jersey! The pork was tender, yet nicely fried, and there was not as much fat on it which is always hard as the fat gives it the flavor but too much can be overpowering. After talking to the chef, he mentioned that it is no longer on the menu because people didn't really order it ... so here I am, asking you all to go in and order it, so it can hopefully go back on the menu and everyone can try authentic and delicious Peruvian breakfast!! HUGE shoutout to Brian for creating something that brought both me and my friend a true sense of home
