Came to Café MoBay for the first time, and we were so impressed. The food was absolutely delicious…read more We got the sampler platter with braised oxtail, jerk chicken, curry goat, plantains, and rice & peas so we could try a little of everything. It was the perfect size for two. The meat melted in your mouth, and the sauces were incredibly flavorful and not too spicy. We also split a very nice bread pudding for dessert. We liked the ambience and the music - nice for a date night, not too loud and not too soft. The chef Patrick was really hospitable and explained the different dishes to us. The prices were good and we left stuffed. A fantastic experience and I can't wait to come back.

It's in a dry town so they don't serve alcohol, but they allow you to BYOB. The service was really good. Friendly and efficient, and felt very homely. Even though we were a big group of like 15 and only one 2 gentlemen working, they were really efficient and on point. The food was really good! Everything came out hot and fresh and was seasoned to perfection. I tasted my friend's fried chicken and fell in love! So much so, I placed an order of just the chicken to go! I had: Jerk chicken tacos - 5/5 Crab fried rice - 4/5 Fried Chicken- 5/5 (amazing! Seasoned and fried perfectly) Definitely recommend this spot and would go back if I'm in the area!

They make the food for the day and then you order what they have available so the food wasn't very warm. They have a lot of space if you do wanna eat there which is always good especially since Main Street can be a bit chaotic for just take out orders . I got their small jerk chicken plate, which came with white rice, plantains, and cabbage. It was OK. They cut the jerk chicken in a way that they also cut the bones so it was very hard to get chicken and not get small pieces of bone with it, which made it very uncomfortable to eat. The rice was good and the plantains were OK; I didn't try the cabbage because it's just not something I really like. I think their food is definitely expensive in comparison to other businesses in the area who offer you the same portions, and even tastier food - such as Sazon Latino right next-door. Overall, I unfortunately wouldn't come here again, but it was nice to give them a try.

The restaurant was packed, so we waited about 10 to 15 minutes, even with a reservation. Thankfully, it was a beautiful day. Once seated, we ordered a few drinks. My Strawberry Basil Lemonade was refreshing and their Virgin Pina Colada with Strawberry was perfect. Our waitress, Queen, recommended a few items, and they were a hit. The Coconut Shrimp were crispy and flavorful, and the sweet chili dipping sauce complemented them well. I was nervous that the Jerk Chicken was going to be too salty, but the seasoning was outstanding. The spice level was fine, not too spicy at all. And the Coconut Rice & Peas were great. I'd happily return and recommend this spot to family and friends.
